"Southern Comfort" is a gorgeous all wood cabin located in beautiful Wears Valley. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation with family and friends, this cabin is tucked away in the mountains and surrounded by wooded views. Located approximately 10 minutes from Townsend and Pigeon Forge, 15 minutes from Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country, and 20 minutes from Gatlinburg. "Southern Comfort" offers pool access and access to a catch and release fishing pond at Honeysuckle Meadows Deli and Pool, which is about 5 minutes from the cabin. This cabin has a gravel road leading up to the paved driveway and is NOT motorcycle or trailer friendly. Parking for 3 vehicles comfortably on a paved driveway with steep inclines. "Southern Comfort " is a 3-story cabin with 2 bedroom 2 bathroom that will sleep 6. There are 6 steps to enter the cabin; when you do, you will be amazed by all the wood interior and open, airy living room. On those cold winter nights, snuggle up on the sofa with a nice comfy blanket and enjoy the stone gas fireplace while watching your favorite show on the flat-screen TV. Adjacent to the living room is the fully equipped kitchen with dining for 6. Located on this level is a King size bedroom with a Flat screen TV and a Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combination. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer on this level. On the upper level, you will have an additional King size bedroom with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. On the lower level, you will have the game room with a pool table perfect for those friendly competitions and a Queen sleeper sofa. Just off the game room is a spacious deck that holds the private hot tub. After a day of sightseeing, hop in the bubbly hot tub and soak all your cares away. The main level deck offers a porch swing to enjoy with your morning coffee or just to relax and take in the sounds and nature that surrounds you. There is also a table and chairs, along with a charcoal grill to grill your favorite food; just bring charcoal, and you will be all set to cookout and have a meal on the porch overlooking the wooded views. Cute but hot tub didn’t work

Our #1 wishlist item when picking out a cabin is that it has a hot tub. It just so happened to be our luck that the hot tub must have stopped working before our arrival but despite two different phone calls to Bear Camp Cabins, it was never fixed and we never got to use it. There was zero communication from BCC about it either which made every evening frustrating as we would return to the cabin from a long day exploring and not have a hot tub to relax in. The cabin itself is cute though and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds are very firm (not my favorite) but the cabin came with a lot of linens which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the porch swing while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Yes, the driveway is super steep and yes, there is a lot of construction taking place along the narrow road to get to the cabin. The directions to navigate the neighborhood are mediocre at best….every “road” looks like someone’s driveway so it made navigating out there for the first time a little uncomfortable. The pool table on the lower level kept us entertained at night, although I should warn that there is something sharp inside the pockets so reaching for missing balls should be done with caution. The air hockey table had a loose connection underneath but once we figured that out it worked fine, although the kids were annoyed that the score board wouldn’t work. Just wish the hot tub worked otherwise we would stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, cute

Nice little cabin with nice valley/mountain views during winter foliage. The Christmas decor and tree were a lovely touch. Spotlessly clean and no wear/tear or maintenance issues noted. Check in and out very straightforward and easy. Would definitely revisit!

Busy Bears Stay

House was very clean. Quiet with plenty of space and amenities for us. Kids loved the arcade and stuffed teddy bears. They even got to see a bear close up on the porch. No issues with the water but that hill everyone mentions is no joke. Still a great place to stay.
