Beautiful renovated home on Lake Pocotopaug. This private 553 acre lake is closed to the public! Located in a small town with local shopping, antiques, casual and fine dining, walking and bike trails. This home is conveniently located less than 2 miles from CVS, Stop and Shop, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Rite Aid, and Subway. 20 minutes to Glastonbury, Middletown and 30 minutes to Hartford, all with fine dining, theater and sporting events. 30 minutes from Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos with everything they have to offer.
The first floor includes a 2nd master bedroom with full bath, open kitchen, dining area and living room with spectacular lake, sun sets views, and fireplace. ½ bath on first floor has full size stackable washer/dryer. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and kitchen.
Central A/C throughout.
50' TV with cable and DVD player in living room and an additional 30' TV with cable in master bedroom.
Upper level: Master bedroom includes King Bed overlooking the lake with full bath. 2nd bedroom has Double bed with lakefront views. 3rd bedroom sleeps 6 with windows on three sides in 3 trundle beds. 4th upstairs bed has bunkbeds. Second full bath with double vanity separate toilet and shower area.
Covered furnished side porch with ceiling fans. Lakeside deck 20 x 12.
Linens and towels are included.
So, bring your motorized boat or Jet Ski, or just enjoy our accommodations which include kayaks, canoe, rafts, fishing poles and large dock. Take your boat across the lake for dinner, music and drinks at the Lake House Restaurant.
This vacation home is recommended for families with young children, families with teenagers, seniors, girls getaway, tourists without a car, or make it a romantic getaway.

I always have trouble with those locks, but it was fine. Plenty of room, very cozy. Loved the canoe and kayak. Also used the float and life jackets. Kitctennis well equipped.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a family getaway here for a few days. The house has plenty of room, with the bedrooms being much larger than we anticipated! The property is lakefront which we all loved and the beach next door was perfect for the little kids. We all enjoyed our stay with adults, teenagers and two children under two. There was room for everyone and plenty to do. Check in and out was very easy. Thank you for a great stay!

So peaceful!

Our son was getting married and all our kids, spouses and 1 preteen came up for the wedding. This was the perfect house to relax in and enjoy the wedding week! Plenty of beds and bathrooms. If we didn’t live 15 hours away, I do believe we’d rent it every summer for a weeks vacation!

Nicest house on Lake Pocotopaug

This is our 3rd year & have booked again for next year. A beautiful home with every amenity imaginable, including a covered porch with ceiling fans & lights for games or reading on a rainy day & an open deck with fireplace, both overlooking the lake - amazing sunrises & unbelievable subsets & hosts who could not be more accommodating. Can’t wait till next year!

Perfect location traveling with children

There were 6 adults & 3 children (9, 6 & 3 1/2) in our family. The Private beach next door was perfect for the the kids and they LOVED it each & every day. The Private dock was awesome for fishing, my Hubby caught 3 fish & our Granddaughter caught 1 as well. Cheryl & Bob (home owners) were so easy to work with and answered our questions & phone calls in a timely fashion. The house was perfect for all of us, each family had their own bathroom & the kids loved having their private bed room as well. We are all already talking about our Family vacation next year and this is the place we want to return to. Looking forward to our 2025 week on the lake in CT for sure!!!

This house is a great house for a family vacation. Plenty of beds and baths with great views and access to store and local site seeing. Lake Pocotopaug is wonderful and didn’t seem super touristy or busy at all. The house amenities worked for our large group. The house was clean, just a bit older. The owners were responsive to questions we had. We had a lovely trip. The house had a great porch with plenty of chairs, a grill and fire pit. The dock was nice to get closer to water and use their kayak and canoe available. We had a lovely time!

Lovely lake house

This is our second time staying at this property and it is wonderful. Hosts are very helpful and congenial. The house is well maintained and well stocked and you absolutely cannot beat the view of the lake.

Great home, beautiful views.

Loved our stay here at the lake. Place was spacious enough for everyone. There was an issue with high levels of iron in the water so you must use bottled water for drinking and cooking. Otherwise great family vacation.
