Thoughtfully Styled, Family- and Pet-Friendly Home in a Walkable Area

Fantastic I am so happy you had a great stay. We pride ourselves in making a really cozy bed- for the mattresses and the sheets we purchase excellent materials, we know how important a good night's rest is while traveling. Glad you also got to have fun in the outdoor space!

So happy you loved the house and the location. I agree it's a perfect place for large groups to gather and explore Portland!

Thanks Robin! We are thrilled you enjoyed your visit and found the place charming. We agree! So glad everyone was able to enjoy themselves while in town to celebrate the wedding, that’s exactly what we had in mind when we started this journey and we love to see it play out. Please do come and stay again soon!

Thanks Jessica for writing a review. I love hearing that you found it extremely clean- cleanliness is something we work very hard on. Please come back and stay with us again! Best, Michelle

You are so welcome! That is super kind of you to call us exceptional hosts- we do aim for that :) We really want all of our guests to feel welcomed and well taken care of. We agree the neighborhood is so charming filled with so many friendly and creative people. Please come back in the Spring, Summer or Fall- winter isn't the best time for the outdoor space, bummer... We'd love to have you back!

Thanks for the lovely review. We are thrilled the house worked great for the diversity of your group. We try to have things to entertain from babies to grandparents. Please come back and stay again!

Thanks so much Joan- we loved having your families ranging in all ages and locations. Thrilled you loved the houses, location and us :) Please come back and stay again!

Thank you for such a lovely review Kerrie! So glad to hear you loved both houses, and appreciated the separate spaces. We really wanted to create a space for a large group to gather but also have a space for those who like a more calming space as well. Happy to hear the beds were comfortable too, that is so important when traveling. This location really is everything, so many good food options, restaurants and food trucks, shops, bars, and more all just walking distance, makes for so much fun for all ages. Please come stay again when the sun is out and enjoy the outdoor area, games and activities.

Fantastic that you would recommend this house to all! We strive to make everyone's holiday the best possible. Glad you felt that.

Thanks Cara! We are thrilled you LOVED ++ the houses. We do adore how easy it is to get around from the house, walking to all the best spots on Alberta Street and so central to all of Portland's other fun areas.

Thanks for the review! Guests are always pleased with how quiet it is while still being in the heart of so many amazing stores & restaurants. We insulated lots and have all new windows plus some double layers of sheetrock to help with all of the noise. Glad you all had a great time!

I loved hosting all of you writers for your workshop, I like to think the creative energy stays within the walls! I am thrilled that the duplex worked so well for you all to have both space for the entire group to gather, and also more private quiet spaces. Best of luck with your writing - please come back again!

Thanks Brenna for this 5 star review. We do love the location right on Alberta Street within walking to some of Portland's best places. I do love when people rent the whole house as all of that space is so ideal for families or large groups gathering. We hope you come back!

How wonderful Kristin that you all had a fantastic birthday weekend. I am thrilled that you found the house stocked with everything you could need. We do try to have things for all ages and needs. So I am thrilled you felt that. And I agree the location being walkable to so many wonderful restaurants, bars and stores does make it ideal! Please come back and stay again we'd love to have you!

So thrilled you had such a great stay. We aim to have it stocked up with everything people would need. And agreed the location is so central and fun for all Portland has to offer.

Ali, We are so thrilled to add you to our “regulars list” in the Shift family! So glad to hear you had a second enjoyable stay. We hope to see you again in one of our four properties. Cheers! Whitney Robinson Manager for Michelle and Klaas

Thanks so much for the great review. We do love hosting larger groups. When we were designing the house we were designing around large groups gathering comfortably while also creating some smaller spaces for intimate, smaller chats. I’m glad you found it worked well for you all. We agree, the location is phenomenal.

I am so happy you all had a nice stay! Next time hopefully you will be in Portland for a longer time, we'd love to have you back!

I love that you all were able to get a little sleep in there Hood to Coast is such a feat. Thrilled you found us helpful and that you would stay again in a heartbeat. We'd love to have you back here or at another on of our PDX properties.

Loved having you ladies and witnessing such amazing friendships! I feel honored to be a small part of your magic. Thrilled you loved the houses!

It’s our pleasure to host you all. I love when people come for work and are able to also find time to explore the amazing neighborhoods. I used to travel with 5 people for work and we’d rent houses so we could all have some private space and also areas to all gather. When we were designing the home I would call on those years of travel to create what we had wanted.

Lovely Mark we'd love yo have you all back at the Alberta house or our Mississippi Ave location. We adore hosting family reunions and are honored to be part of that special time.

You are so very welcome! We love our job of making sure that all of our guests have excellent holidays, and are so happy that you felt that. Please come back and stay again!

I am thrilled you and your family of all ages, enjoyed the houses! When we were designing them we thought about how large families can gather so open concept living, dining and kitchens are the center of all of our homes. And we knew the bedding and linens needed to be fabulous and cozy. So happy you enjoyed all of that and the location as well. Please come stay with us in the future.

Thank you so much for your review. We couldn't agree more we adore Alberta Street! We feel like all of the independent businesses really showcase Portland and what the cities true colors are! Please come back and stay with us again on Alberta or at our properties in the Mississippi Neighborhood- I think you would really love that area as well.
