About this property
The Way Life Should Be
A stunning yet laid-back waterfront property with 800' of private access shoreline along the Reach (Ferry Route) on Vinalhaven's Southwestern side. Large enough to host several generations with enough offerings to keep them entertained :)
Originally built in the 1850s, and extensively renovated in 2018, the property and house provide an incredibly unique private getaway for groups of all sizes. The 7-bedroom home is spread across three buildings, providing incredible diversity in sleeping arrangements for big groups and families. From a professional stove in the kitchen to a sweeping deck that transitions into a yard filled with flowers, the home and grounds have everything necessary to fully relax, to explore, or to host and feed all your guests.
The property is one-of-a-kind: a private enclave of forests, gardens, vistas and water acces. With over 800' of waterfront and a unique wholly-contained peninsula, there are plenty of areas to explore on the property itself (let alone the neighboring harbors and huge tracts of public land across the street).
New for 2022: Lupine Studio received a new half-bath, allowing guests staying in Lupine direct access to a toilet. A new dock has also been constructed with easier put in for kayaks or SUPs (several available to borrow*). Use of a deepwater mooring is now also possible for guests with larger watercraft.
I'll do anything I can to make your stay as special as possible, just let me know if there's anything I can help facilitate. Lobster bake? Easy. Tips for making the most of your stay on Vinalhaven? Included. Guided trips? Can do!
Shoot me a message!
________________
-- A couple things to note -- • In efforts of limiting water usage from laundry, I do not provide beach towels for guests. • There is only one full bathroom in the main house, one half-bath upstairs, and one half bath attached to "Lupine Studio". There is a beautiful outdoor shower with hot water that many people prefer to the indoor shower, but for some larger groups, it obviously can be limiting. • The dock is shared with the neighbor, so you may periodically see someone entering or exiting their boat. It is completely out of eyesight from the houses and lawn, so this doesn't impact the privacy of the property. * A liability waiver will need to be signed digitally before borrowing kayaks or SUPs.
