About this property

Comfortable SMOKE FREE family home, 4 bedroom, 2 bath with ground level but inside shower, 5 minute walk to the beach and great proximity to handicapped beach access, Second street runs parallel to Ocean front. Showers are available at the beach access and car and golf cart parking is also available if desired. MUST be at least 28 years old to rent.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, blender and coffee maker. The bar area seats 4 and the kitchen table seats 6.

The den area is equipped with a flat screen TV. High speed internet is provided at no additional charge. Roku present for streaming.

Upstairs bathroom has a newly updated stand up shower with hand held wand. Downstairs bathroom has a stand up shower with hand held wand.

There are 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs bedrooms. One upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a flat screen TV. The other upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and 1 twin bed. A downstairs bedroom also has a queen bed, twin bed and a flat screen TV. The final bedroom has 2 twin beds. All beds have new mattresses. All TV's have Roku present for streaming. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience.

This home has been recently updated/renovated to include a new washer/dryer, refrigerator and dishwasher. The deck and entry stairs have been rebuilt. Deck chairs are provided. There is a gas grill located in the downstairs shower room for your grilling needs. Grill MUST be used on the ground level.

Ocean Isle/Brunswick County has many amenities including tennis, 40+ golf courses and numerous options for runners, walkers and bikers.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised in the listing! Our kids enjoyed the beach toys available and having handicap beach access (carrying kids, a wagon etc) was an extra nice perk!

AWESOME ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

The house is amazing!!! We really enjoy sitting outside at night, and this place provided great areas to do that. I was a little worried about how long it would take us to walk to the beach, but when the listing says 5 minutes it is literally 5 minutes (I timed it ). Great location, short drive to shopping and entertainment. Myrtle beach attractions are not a far drive. If you want a great place to eat try Becks in Calabash.

Doris Kaylor continues to reside in Conover, NC. She is able to make limited trips to Ocean Isle Beach but still enjoys her visits. Her daughter, Melinda Kaylor Parks looks after her personal and financial affairs.

Why they chose this property

This property was built in 1985 by Joe and Doris Kaylor. This property was intended for use by family and friends and has only been opened for renters for ~3 years.. At the time this house was built, there were a limited number of homes on Ocean Isle Beach. There was a draw bridge that often delayed entry onto the Island due to boats passing through the sound.
