About this property
New 5k sq ft 2 acre Art and Craft Country Retreat 5 miles from dwntwn Asheville
*NEW HOT TUB ADDED*
A New and updated Million Dollar Arts and Crafts style home sitting on 2 beautifully landscaped acres is nestled 'a bit' in the woods while only being a 7 minute drive to downtown Asheville. The aesthetically pleasing property is constant as the numerous windows throughout the house allow for one stare out at the beautiful mountain which sits on 100 acres of unspoiled beauty. Whether here or lounging out on one of the two decks that encompass almost 5000 sq. ft., you will see plenty of deer, turkey, etc. walk by, with the occasional bear or two meandering around. There is enough outdoor furniture on both decks to seat 13.
If nature is your thing, while being complimented with luxurious living, you have found the perfect place in Heaven's Little Haven Two.
Designed to appeal to one's many desires, the open house plan offers numerous living areas that are strategically separated yet masterfully intertwined. The house offers a kick-back and take-it-all-in environment, while giving one all of the amenities to keep you busy and entertained.
Should you be in a festive (and maybe competitive) mood, the 2000 sq. ft. lower level that comes with a gas burning fireplace, has a regulation size slate pool table that converts to a ping-pong unit if desired. This downstairs has a movie room with a 85" plasma with sound that gives you a theater like experience, and sitting at the custom 12' Black Walnut bar with your choice of beverage offers a festive ambiance that you would only find in your favorite local establishment. The downstairs has two bedrooms: one large with a king size bed and another with supplied with bunk beds. There is a custom bathroom with a hammered coppered sink and a walk-in shower that is connected to the bigger bedroom, with access from the living area.
Feel free to walk outside by using one of the two entrances on either side of the lower level. One of the greatest things that you will enjoy is relaxing in the new 6 person HOT TUB while immersing in not only the steam laden water but in the beauty that nature shares and the perpetual sound of water falling softly into it's domain. Reading a book while listening to all of the sounds nature may have to offer is guaranteed to gently put you asleep.
With Cathedral ceilings tied-in with natural wood and stone throughout the house, you will find yourself delighted in the notion that the outside has come in to the inside.
The Main Floor offers a warm living area with that is comforted with large couches and a loveseat. There is a gas fire place that is encompassed with stone, and hosts a 65" television. The large picturesque window will remind you of exactly why you are in Asheville, and why you may not want to leave.
Attached to this living area is a large and flowing kitchen that has all of the amenities needed to cook a gourmet meal. There is a table that seats 5, with a bar countertop that will seat another two. A beautiful bay window allows for you to stare out and see one of the many hummingbirds that spend time here entertaining us. A few steps over and you are in the warm and cozy dining room that has an 8' table and comfortably seats 8. This is the room where conversations flourish, and meaningful memories are made.
Walk down the hall way and you will enter the very large Master Bedroom. The King Size bed is inviting and very comfortable, while the large couch nestled against the wall of windows allows for one to escape into their own world. A 50" television sits on the dresser should you not want to watch one of the other 5. A large bathroom is another escape that is highlighted by a two person jacuzzi bathtub that will massage you with all of it's jets of water. And a glass enclosed shower has 4 body sprays should you want to be massaged while standing up. There is also a large walk in custom wood closet that can house all that's needed to store.
The upstairs section of the house has 3 bedrooms with a mix of full and queen size beds. There are spacious closets in each room, and each room offers stunning window views. There is a large bathroom with double sinks that offers a separated tub and shower, and is easily accessible.
Both decks offer lots of comfort with the top offering a gas firepit, and there is a large wood firepit that sits out in the yard and is circled with large finger stones positioned for many to sit on while being entranced by the flames. The views are amazing here.
The house is a mile from I-26 and offers quick access to get wherever you may want to go.

George is a great host and communicator. He ensures that you have everything that you need. The house is perfect for multiple families. We enjoyed the downstairs entertaining area, hot tub and fire pit. Close to downtown.
Very nice place, great location to the downtown area, clean house, peaceful environment, kitchen had everything we needed. Really enjoyed our time there.
Great house with lots of communal space for relaxing and catching up. Great for a large group traveling from out of town and in a good location near downtown and other fun attractions!
My family was visiting for a wedding in Asheville, and both the property and the host were incredible. The house was fantastic with a lot of space and great outdoor areas and George was an incredible host who was always available when we needed him. I have nothing but great things to say about this stay in Asheville. 5 stars all around!
Home is as advertised in the listing. Enjoyed our stay.

We loved this house! Great space for all 13 of us to have family time together.
Beautiful, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Great space to hang out both inside and out, main floor and downstairs. Only 5 minutes drive to Asheville arts district, restaurants, breweries. We would have loved to stay longer!

Thanks so much for the nice review as its much appreciated. We are so happy that you came and stayed in our home as we really do love when families have the opportunity to get together and do some bonding, especially when there is a wedding going on. We are also very grateful that you treated it as if it were your own. Please feel free to come back at any time!
It was a bit bigger than we needed (there were only 7 of us), but we loved being able to spread out and enjoy ourselves. We had a couple of good take-out dinners there from restaurants that were easy to get to.
The host was wonderful - very responsive. The house is very tired. It is clean but it is pretty run down. For example, one of the chairs and the bench for the dining room table were broken so for each meal one of us had to sit on a cooler we brought and a pocket on the pool table was broken through. Just a few examples. It just doesn't seem like much attention is paid to the house.

Ok, so where do I start?
Well I must say that I'm grateful that you stated that the host was wonderful and very responsive.
UNFORTUNATELY, I wish that I could say the same about you, the guest.
Why?
Trust me, I have no problem with high maintenance guests. It's actually an opportunity to make some new friends and go out of your way to create an amazing experience for them. That's why in 60% of our reviews, and on all of the platforms, my name is always mentioned in a very positive manner.
But the fact that this property is on multiple booking sites, and collectively has had over 250 reviews in the past 6 years, and THAT THIS IS THE FIRST non-5 star review.....
Well ...who's character does that really say more about?
Let's explore:
I'm ok with the truth, but I know that the chairs were not broken, and if they truly were unusable, due to all of your other correspondence you would have definitely let me know, especially after I checked in with you two times in the first 36 hours (as per below).
BY THE WAY, there were people that checked in the same day that you left .... and they left a 10/10 review and had nothing but positive things to say. PLEASE LOOK!
Besides the fact that in every other written review, the reviews state that the pictures taken 3 years ago absolutely represent the house that they had rented.
Hmmmm.....
Besides the fact that the furniture is also 3-5 years old, nothing has changed.
On another note, my neighbor mentioned that it looked like there might have been more than 15 people in the house ...
I chose not to say anything to you as I had a strong idea of what kind of person I was dealing with ....
Why?
Months after you booked, you complained. You told me that you were upset that we have a charge for additional people over 13.... and that's MONTHS LATER!
So I took the high road, and I'm so glad that I credited you the $225.... who know's how your review might have ended up?
You also let me know that you wanted to get in hours early .... an early check-in right after Christmas.
I'm so glad that we could spend the extra money and double up on the cleaning crew so that we could get you in before lunch.
I'm also very curious to know ... just an hour after you checked in you reached out to me via text to say that the house 'was such a LOVELY home' .... and then proceeded to ask me to get you some firewood.
I also know that within 36 hours of you arriving I reached out to you TWO times to check in and see how things were and if there was anything that I could possibly do anything for you....
You ignored both texts with no response. ZERO response.
Ms. Complainer appeared to not have anything to complain about.
BUT the next day you reached out saying that you wanted/needed a 9" x 13" pan. I know that you were probably upset that I didn't know the exact dimensions.
And let's not forget that you let me know that you went on the other booking platform and did not book on that one. Why? BECAUSE there was a rate screw-up on this platform and it was half the price. I promise, we do not rent this house, especially during Christmas, for $500 /-.
Oh yeah, I still honored it.
Anyways, I can go on and on.
But I learned a long time ago that in this world, there will always be Princes and Princesses.
Those with a certain amount of entitlement to them.
I'm just glad that up until now, I've been fortunate enough to avoid them.
P.S. I actually still feel good that I gave you the great review that I did, as hard as it was for me. It's really nice to take the high road, even when it hurts.
We were in town for a wedding and had 9 family members staying at the house for 3 days. Everything was fantastic, we really enjoyed the pool table. George was extremely responsive to our requests. Would definitely stay again.
We had such a lovely, relaxing stay and George was incredibly accommodating to our group. We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with our coffee and the home theater in the basement—what a treat! It was the perfect space to get ready on my wedding day.

Everything was great. House is huge with tons of space. The host was great and flexible when we showed up earlier than expected.
Some friends and I got away for a long weekend of golf. This was such a great place to relax, decompress, and spend time with one another. George is a great owner and very responsive when it comes to ensuring his guests have the best time possible!
George and his son both stopped by to check on us. They are very friendly and were making sure our stay was as fabulous as we hoped. Lots of space and a well equipped kitchen. Great views from either deck. Easy trip to town and entertainment. Definitely recommend for a big group visit.
Wonderful easy location, lots of space for members of family reunion on all levels, great activities downstairs with ping pong and pool, home theater- nice yard area for cornhole and great fire pit area- fun was had by all
House was a good location for events we needed to attend at the Grove Park Inn and UNC Asheville, plenty of space for everyone and everything we needed.
The house was perfect for our gathering! Very clean, spacious and such a great space for a weekend. The house is big enough that guests can have some separate space but plenty of rooms for gathering together. George, the host, was responsive and accommodating. Would recommend this house to anyone coming to Asheville for the weekend!

About the host
Hosted by George
We are a 23 year married couple from Miami who moved to Asheville 10 years ago because of the beauty of the area and the incredible vibe of the town. With so many friends having friends that wanted to come to Asheville, and with so many referrals coming from them, we started renting out the lower part of the house a few years back to those friends of friends. We recently bought a house in Sarasota but hated the idea of giving up this amazing property because we still call it home. When not there, we simply enjoy having people stay because we know how blessed we are with this property and simply wanted to share it. Two of our three children are off to college but love coming back here as much as possible.
Why they chose this property
This property allows for you to disappear and find a hidden nook somewhere to read, meditate, or simply chill out. It also allows for you to have a festive and communal time with those that you enjoy spending time with.
What makes this property unique
This is essentially two houses in one where a bigger group of people staying will never feel cramped, and always have 'their space'. The warmth of the house, combined with the peace and serenity of the environment, all add to the innate charm that makes one and all feel right at home.
