FINCA ARDILLA, ecolodge with swimming pool, for nature lovers.

Our ecolodge offers four comfortable bungalows scattered throughout the rainforest along the riverbank. Each bungalow is ideally located for observing monkeys, toucans, butterflies, sloths, and parrots as they roam freely in an environment of jungle and exotic flowers. We are located a stone's throw from the idyllic beaches of Punta Uva, Cocles, Playa Chiquita, and the nature reserves of Cahuita and Manzanillo. The finca is also the perfect starting point for many excursions and sporting activities (surfing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, hiking in the parks, cocoa museum, etc.). The small seaside resort of Puerto Viejo, nearby, will charm you with its many restaurants, shops, nightclubs, and various activities.
You can swim in our beautiful pool, next to the ranch, and prepare your barbecue, almost with your feet in the water...
Our team will be happy to share their knowledge of the region with you and will remain attentive to your well-being throughout your stay.

Relaxing in the jungle

Super relaxed stay with all facilities at hand. Great accomodation with a nice pool in a restfull area

Charming but neglected, jungle location with road noise

A charming place which, unfortunately, is directly next to a busy road with loud traffic from trucks and motorcycles. Development in the area has led to increased traffic. Cleaning, when requested, is done poorly (the shower was not cleaned once during a one-month stay with 3 cleaning services, and ants rained continuously from a hole in the bathroom ceiling which was reported to caretaker and not fixed). Hot water is NOT available in all bungalows. Mattress on double beds are old and uncomfortable. The pool is nice, and it is truly a gorgeous location surrounded by jungle with nature and animals all around. But overall the place feels neglected and in need of care.

For such a price, hot water should be provided...

Very well located, but for 100 $ hot shower should be a must and cleanliness should be on top ! Very disappointed about VRBO who charge more that 20% on the standard price for doing nothing ! I will never use it again.

Beautiful place to rest

The place is in contact with nature, the cabins are very confortable and close to the beautiful beaches of Limon The owners are excellent hosts, you feel at home. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed very much , we recommend this place.

Farniente et détente au bout du monde

Accueil de qualité a la Finca Ardilla pour un séjour dépaysant au Costa Rica. Véronique et son équipe ont veillé au quotidien au bien être de notre famille et au bon déroulement de notre séjour. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les précieux conseils pour nos visites également! Nous recommandons fortement la Finca Ardilla.

Un Pequenho Paraíso en medio de la Montanha

Nos hemos Alojado 3 Noches en la Finca Ardilla, la cual estaba recién abierta al Publico... Por donde comenzar? Nuestros Anfitriones; Veronique, Coralie & Ivo han estado maravillosos, super Atentos y muy pendientes de que estuviésemos a gusto; hemos compartido agradables conversaciónes, conocido un poco la Historia de la Finca y un Agradable fin de Anho donde compartimos una Rica Cena con ellos y otros Huéspedes... La Finca cuenta con varias casitas, muy bien construidas e integradas al ambiente, con lindos detalles en Madera y bien equipada... tiene un Rancho super lindo como punto de encuentro para los Huéspedes y donde se sirve Desayuno y Bebidas...y all mismo una increíble Piscina con Agua Salada, con la Jungla de fondo... es expectacular! La finca esta en plena Montanha a 3 Kilometros de Playa Cocles, así que si se tiene carro o quizas Quad no se tiene ningún inconveniente, de no tenerlo ellos ofrecen un Servicio para bajarlos a la playa y para los mas aventureros como nosotros (Pareja con una Beba de 6 anos) puedes alquilar en el Pueblo Bicicletas... es un buen ejercicio, pero te espera la rica Playa al Bajar y la Rica Piscina al retornar ;) La Casita es super amplia, Banho grande, Cama Matrimonial mas duplex, con lindas ventanas y puertas que te permiten ver desde la cama la Naturaleza que te rodea y los animalitos que se pasean y una cocina equipadita con una linda terraza... algo que nos pareció increible ---> No hay Zancudos, es en serio! mil bichitos pero cero mosquitos, no importa la hora o lo húmedo que sea...ha sido una maravillosa sorpresa :) Veronique le encanta compartir con sus Huéspedes y da muchos tips y consejos, así que si tienen alguna duda, pregunten sin pena! El Punto a mejorar es el Wifi, pero entendemos que están comenzando y que están en medio de la Jungla, por lo que no es de extrañar que sea un poco lento. Definitivamente lo recomendamos a todos quienes quieran disfrutar de la Montanha y naturaleza, es un lugar muy tranquilo con mucho encanto... con la playa a 3 Km mas abajo.. Si quieren fiestay tienen transporte no es un problema, pero si quieren algo pegadito a la playa con mucha fiesta y sitios, quizás deberían buscar otro lugar, nosotros de seguro volveremos a la Finca cuando volvamos a Costa Rica.
