Hello Kim, so great to hear that you had a 10/10 experience!
We are so happy to hear it met (maybe exceeded) your expectations! We hope to Hose you again!
We stayed 4 nights at this amazing place! We covered every age group on our family vacation and I have to say it was amazing! The cabin had everything you can think of (even though we prepared and brought our own stuff). Great location being close to town. The cabin is right on the water! And let me tell you…those VIEWS! Amazing! The hosts reached out multiple times to make sure our stay was wonderful. Thanks again!

Hello Josh, glad to hear you had a great trip!
The views never get old!
Thanks for staying and we hope to see you again.
The pontoon boat rental is a must! It's in excellent shape and a blast to run around all the chain of lakes. The cabin photos do not do it justice, it is huge and well stocked with all your cooking needs, a grill and washer dryer. The views are phenomenal and it's so peaceful to sit out on the huge patio and watch the lake. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood, had fun walking down the cabin road for morning exercise. Lots of stairs so keep in mind for impaired friends/family.

Hello Christina, so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay!
There are some stairs, but the view from the deck makes it well worth it!
Exceptional communication with the host. Everything was exactly as described. The cabin has many bedrooms, an updated feel, and a beautiful view of one of the most pristine lakes on the chain (Rush). The newer pontoon, the fire pit, and deck overlooking the lake were our groups favorites about this property. I would literally recommend this to anyone. Incredible stay in a prime location in Crosslake.

This was our second year staying at this cabin. We absolutely love everything about it. Spacious cabin with a breathtaking view from the kitchen! Fire pit is a perfect way to spend those cool summer evenings. Will definitely be staying again!

Thanks Thomas, we were so happy to host you for a second year and that we were able to provide an equally great experience 2 years in a row. We hope to see you again next year!
As advertised this was a beautiful lake cabin/property on the north side of Rush Lake. Great accommodations, awesome lake views, perfect location and a lot of fun. We booked for a family gathering and were not disappointed. This cabin has everything. I strongly recommend this place. The new pontoon right at the end of the dock was a huge bonus. Thanks to our host for answering all our questions quickly.
Owner and property manager responded quickly to any questions I had. Minutes to Crosslake for shops, restaurants, churches, and golf. We had many meals on the large Trex deck, watching loons, eagles, and ducks. Walk-out access to outside from the lower level Is an added benefit to the well-maintained sloping stairs to the fire pit and dock. Our family would rent this nice lake home again; it fit our needs perfectly.

Thank you so much for the review Connie. You were a great renter and we hope to host you and your family again in the future!
When we were looking for a VRBO for our first adult siblings and spouses only vacation, this place immediately caught our attention -- plenty of bedrooms and more importantly, 3 bathrooms! Great setting on Crosslake, with quick access to town and food options, it was convenient for everything everyone wanted to do -- fishing, golfing, 4-wheeling, and loafing. Oh, and the boat! Being able to rent a wonderful pontoon boat with the cabin sealed the deal for us. Kitchen was fully stocked, the gas grill a great plus, beds were all comfy, and the view was spectacular! The place is exactly as represented in the listing, and our host Michael was great to work with and responsive to our questions. We can definitely recommend this place and will happily stay here again!
Two families stayed with a total of 4 adults and 4 boys from 3rd-5th grade. Great stay, loved the area and the chain of lakes. We brought our own pontoon and spent the afternoons at sandbars or shores of an island. We fit the cabin perfectly with room to spread out. It was well stocked and clean. The nights were cool enough that fans with open windows were sufficient. The boys took advantage of the lily pad and canoe and enjoyed fishing off the dock. We would gladly return - first time to Cross Lake area and loved it.

Thanks Kristin, we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Sounds like there was fun for all!
We would be happy to host you again if you ever stay in the area again!
Such a great, peaceful location. Far enough out of town to be away from it all, but close enough to not be inconvenient. When you walk in, you are struck by the entire wall of windows, with sweeping views of the lake. And also the perfect place to witness the lightning show that goes along with summer storms in Minnesota. A large deck across the back, allows for birds eye views of the lake. As well as front row seats to the loons, ducks, eagles and a sweet little chipmunk that came to visit once or twice. The home itself is very well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need. 3 bathrooms was an amazing perk! My only recommendation would be to bring your own beach towels. We rented the pontoon, as well. This just upped the experience. Allowing us to not only enjoy Rush Lake, but we made it to 3 of the other adjoining lakes.Communication was amazing! Any questions or needs were addressed immediately. We 100% recommend, and hope we can do this again next year!

This property is exactly as advertised in its description and photos. Sloping steps to the lake, no steep stairs. The lower level walk-out is ideal access to the lake. Very clean and organized cabin with everything you could possibly want. A closet with life jackets of all sizes; kid-friendly sandbox and toys. Minutes from downtown Crosslake. The owners are quick to respond to messages, and eager to make your stay stress-free. This was my 2nd year renting here, and I hope to return in 2022 for year 3!

Hello Connie, we are so happy to hear that the cabin did not disappoint in year 2 and look forward to hosting you again next summer!
Our 2 families with 4 teens enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room to spread out with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms- we were a little hesitant as our stay was during the covid situation. We ate outside on the spacious deck, ordered pizza from zorbaz one night, but there are lots of bars/restaurants nearby and on the lake.. The lake was a bit weedy for swimming at the end of the dock, so we took the boat out everyday which was fun exploring all the connecting lakes. Downstairs was a bit musty but the dehumidifier helped. Overall it was great and would consider a return trip!

Thanks Melissa, happy to hear your enjoyed you stay. Sounds like you enjoyed everything Crosslake has to offer!!
The house was just as described. We had 7 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all. It was extremely clean and so well stocked. We had everything we could have wanted and even stuff we didn’t know we needed! The layout and location were perfect! We rented the boat for two days. It is really nice! We went to Crosslake and lower whitefish. There are plenty of water toys. We used the lily pad at the sandbar for the kids and they loved it!! Communication was great! We would definitely book again and would recommend to family and friends. Truly one of the best rentals we have done.
This property had everything needed, kitchen fully supplied with all appliances needed, gas grill access to dock, with rental. Pontoon if needed. We did however bring our own. Speedy response with all questions!
Had 5 bedrooms, plenty space for all of our family.
They had plenty of life jackets, games availability. TV where we could log onto Netflix, etc.
laundry available.
We rarely return to the same place for vacation, but if we decided to, this place had everything available.
Thanks!!!

Thank you for your kind comments about our lake home. Your welcomed back anytime!
This place checked all the boxes needed to deliver a wonderful, relaxing, entertaining, and adventurous lake experience for our three-generation party of six. The cabin is clean, well-appointed and spacious with great views of the lake from inside or from the large deck. The available on-site pontoon (highly recommend) provided hours of cruising, fishing, tubing and more. The variety and quality of available water toys exceeded our expectations and delivered hours of fun and first-time experiences for our grandkids, while fishing from the dock provided plenty of action (sunfish, perch, bass and northerns) for kids and adults alike. Nothing big, but lots of fun. Rush Lake offers many fishing options, a handful of sandbars for swimming, lots of wildlife to see (deer, eagles, loons, ducks, etc,), islands and bays. It's a gem.
Kudos to our hosts Jason, Mike and Carole for providing us with a place to make many lasting memories. We will be back.
This cabin and location was perfect for our annual “up north” vacation! We traveled with 4 adults and six kids (ranging from 17-6) and brought with 2 boats. We were not cramped at all!!
I’ll start with the cabin. It worked perfect with the two couples upstairs in the two bedrooms and the children downstairs in the remaining three bedrooms. However I will comment that the bedrooms is the basement are more spacious, so if space is important, choose a downstairs bedroom ;). We preferred to have all kids downstairs, so for us it didn’t matter. The kitchen is MORE than adequately stocked! They have almost everything and way more than you’d anticipate. The only thing we needed that wasn’t there was a crockpot, but Amazon prime delivered that right to the cabin!! The deck is beautiful and large and it’s a very short distance to the dock. The dock housed their pontoon (which we did not rent), but still had plenty of space for our two boats. Just to mention, the fishing of the dock is a little kids dream. Literally drop the line and pull up a fish! They aren’t large but that’s not what our kids cared about, they wanted to just catch fish ;)
The lake…Rush lake is beautiful!! Yes there are weeds near the shore but it’s been a very hot, low precipitation year and they are growing every where so I don’t feel it’s an accurate description. What we loved best about the lake was that it was quieter than Cross and more calm. Also there is a sunken sandbar just off to the right from the cabin…we spent many hours there! The next best spot was in the south end of Cross…I believe they call it the sunken island. Get there early and you’ll have a perfect spot to spend the day beached, in or out of the water!! We are frequented 2 different restaurants with water access!
For those that run or cycle…we did both and there were ample safe places to get to from the cabin.
Lastly the owners were great with communication and answering questions. The whole process of booking to check out was a breeze. I would highly recommend renting this cabin and enjoying time on Rush Lake…we sure did!!!

Hello Julie, it sounds like your group had a great time. The fire pit is one of my favorite places too!
Place was well equiped, everything worked well and convenient. View was spectacular. Driveway is a bit narrow, so don't pull in with boat and expect to turn around. Plenty of room to park though. Lower level smelled of mildew based on the humidity.
My 4 year Granddaughter cried as we said goodbye to Rush Lake. This lake home was perfect!
We have 8 adults and 2 littles. The kids all grabbed the bedrooms downstairs. My grandkids were in heaven sleeping on a bunk bed! This cabin was so well stocked with everything we needed and more! We ate meals on the beautiful maintenance free deck. And cooked on the new Weber grill! Played a yard game by (perfectly placed) sand box. The owners texted as soon as we checked In and were very responsive as we asked our questions. The view is gorgeous! My hubby and I had the upstairs bedroom and bath to ourselves! Couldn’t have asked for a more ideal location. We went out to eat at the wharf once and went to brewery in town. Played mini golf and went to ice cream shop. All so close to the cabin. We hope to be back next year! Already am missing waking up to the views Rush lake. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful lake home with us.
My entire family (5 adults & 5 kids) stayed for 1 week. I lost count of how many times every member (including kids) said “I love this cabin!!” We cannot rave enough about this amazing cabin. Lots of space for everyone to have a bedroom & bathroom. Spacious open area in the kitchen/living room allowed us all to be together while cooking. The deck was so wonderful & the view of the lake was unbelievably amazing. We spent mornings on the deck drinking coffee & listening to the loons. Dinners spent on the deck enjoying the night. Fire pit was perfect for enjoying bonfires & making S’mores. Location was perfect for taking the boat to neighboring lakes & driving into Crosslake.
The cabin seemed to have everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked with pretty much anything you need to cook. We felt like we were in our own kitchen. Great towels for all bathrooms/showers. Laundry room was a plus!
I am sure I am missing many things - but bottom line - this was the best cabin we have ever stayed at on the Chain of Lakes. We really hope to return to this cabin for years to come. I cannot recommend this cabin enough!!

Our family built the original lake home in 1960. It was remodeled and enlarged in 2002. We are based in the Twin Cities. The family has grown, we now have 6 grandchildren. We love to use the pontoon in the late afternoons. Lots of lake shore with 6 adjoining lakes. Many restaurants have dock space to arrive by boat. Pontonn can also tow water skiers.
Why they chose this property
Conveniently located near the town of Cross Lake. Close to Brainerd/Nisswa shopping. Many places to go out for dinner either by walking, car, boat or our bikes. We also play golf on the many local and Brainerd choices. We have 2 adult bikes and you're welcomed to bring your own and bike on the many marked trails.
What makes this property unique
If you like boating our pontoon offers long days of boating, rental aviallable for $300.00 per day. Water toys in garage, 7 lakes are connected to the Cross lake chain of lakes. The lakes offer many choices on where and how far to go. Plenty of restaurants have lake access. Lots of great site seeing from the boat. The home is in a quiet part of the lake but overlooks all the activity on the North side of Rush Lake.
