Our stay was just what we hoped for! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, and the view from the porch was breathtaking. We stayed there with our pups for a month and enjoyed every minute of it. It was just the nature retreat we were looking for. The hosts were responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend this location if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the river and mountains in a very comfortable setting.
It was hard to leave. We were in town for a graduation. After all the noise of the graduation party, it was very relaxing to come back to this lovely home.
We loved being so close to the river. Our dogs got to swim every day so they were happy!! The house was clean and supplied with so much! This is were you go to get away from everything!
Great, comfy cabin in a scenic, peaceful location. Perfectly situated for travel to north-western part of state. Loved the fireplace, the loft bedroom and the river view.
This cabin was a thing out of a dream. Nestled in the mountains, quietly sitting on a river bank, this cabin is your next getaway from it all. We had an absolute blast exploring the nearby forests, finding cool rocks, and watching eagles soar over us.
This place was so clean and cozy! It felt like home. Everything was great and we really enjoyed the views of the river! We had a great relaxing vacation here!
Rosemary and Dan have a beautiful home with great amenities. The river is right in the backyard so it makes for easy floating. We have stayed here 5 times and have loved it every time.
We had a great time at the cabin. It was very well stocked and so comfortable, even when it was 100 degrees outside. The AC units worked perfectly. The river was much fun for all of us and it was very peaceful. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Thanks!
Enjoyed the scenic & private setting on the river. Took long walks on the quiet country road & our family enjoyed having a basketball hoop & horse shoes as well as indoor games. The house was well stocked & a comfortable place to just hang out & unwind!
We had such a great time here! It’s quiet and the view out the window is amazing! The home had everything we needed. It was a joy to hike around the property and fish. It’s a blessing the owners share their property!!
This property is our favorite getaway. Rosemary and Dan provide everything needed to have a perfect vacation. The view is stunning, the home is cozy and the porch overlooking the Clark Fork river is beautiful. We spent our honeymoon here and the left us champagne and chocolates to celebrate!
We loved the River this time of year (August). The sand bar was a fun beach! We spent our days swimming and fishing. Glad the cabin has A/C! We will be back next year
The cabin was paradise. Quiet, and in the gorgeous outdoors with great views of the river. Dan and Rosemary were easy to book with, even when I booked the wrong dates the first time! It’s very clean, comfortable, and was stocked with everything we needed for the long weekend. We will be booking again soon!
The best family vacation ever, with a stunning view!
I have rented many VRBO’s but this cabin was fully stocked & the owners made us feel very welcome. I would rate this a 5+ rating! The view of the mountains across the river with wild life all around. This is what my family needed! I would go back here in a heart beat!
We love to take road trips as a family and this summer is our longest yet- our first VRBO stay was here and it was the perfect way to begin our adventure to the Northwest. The cabin was comfortable for our family of 4 but the best was the river right outside the back door. Our son loves to fish and he was able to catch and release some trout and was thrilled. We also went into town and ate lunch at the bakery and it was so good! Thanks Dan and Rosemary for allowing us to stay here and for mailing back the sweater I forgot!
This place is spectacular. The perfect place for a family to get away and relax. All you need to bring is some clothes and food. Dan and Rosemary have everything there that you can think of. We way overpacked! It is so quiet and beautiful. Every time I had a question I got a response within minutes. It was so clean and well taken care of. What a great first time vrbo experience.
The house is exactly as advertised - a lovely, quiet cabin directly on the Clark-Fork river. The cabin is well furnished and contains everything you need for a great stay.
Bring a boat, canoe or kayak - with such a great river at your door, being able to explore it by boat would be ideal.
The house is accessed by a 15 mile, beautiful drive along the west side of the river, which takes about 30 minutes from Plains.
We made the hour drive to Thompson Falls for groceries - we found a better selection and lower prices than the Plains grocery store, plus a restaurant on the river and enjoyed seeing the falls and the surrounding area.

We love the waterfront views and the three decks we can view it from. It is peaceful and quiet. We love to be able to fish from the shore or hike up to the forest trails in back. It is on a private road, which adds to the peacefulness.
