Apartment Lina is a perfect holiday apartment for any vacation rental in Tuscany. The spacious flat is a renovated, modern apartment situated in the picturesque town of Pietrasanta. It is the ground floor of a 2 storey maisonette that sits in a pretty residential area nestled at the foot of the Alpi Apuane, half way between Pietrasanta Old Town and Marina di Pietrasanta. That's only 2 miles from the famous Versilia beaches. The ground floor property includes many home comforts; a lounge with sofa, kitchen with mod cons and WC/utility room, 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms. The 3rd bedroom can be made up as a twin or double, there is also an additional family bathroom opposite this bedroom. The lounge leads onto a veranda - perfect for al fresco dining. There is air conditioning throughout and mosquito nets on all windows & doors. On street parking is available in front of the property.

Beach / pools: Versilia is famous for its beautiful wide, golden, sandy beaches. There are many private beach clubs or 'bagni' - these are full service beaches many of which have fantastic pools, as well as the usual umbrellas, 'tende' / gazebos, sun loungers, deck chairs and cabins. They also have restaurants, cafes, bars and many other excellent facilities. It is highly recommended you pre-book your beach before arriving in Pietrasanta. Should you wish to cycle to the beach or town, Apartment Lina is only 100m from the cycle path that takes you directly to the beach under the protection of a beautiful tree lined boulevard.

Viareggio Carnival: Apartment Lina is a great base to experience the famous Viareggio Carnival. This spectacular event - one of the finest and grandest in Italy takes place throughout Mardi Gras each year. Celebrations include a wide programme of entertainment and fun for adults and children, the famous papier mâché floats (works of art in themselves that take a year to create) parades, performances, public festivities and masked balls. The carnival is repeated during August. A fantastic event not to be missed!

Local shops: There are 2 supermarkets (Coop & Conad) within easy reach of Apartment Lina plus many shops in the town centre.

Tourist information: Apartment Lina is a great base to exploit the best of Tuscany; Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Firenze, San Gimignano, Cinque Terre to name but a few.

Very, very nice!

A very nice and comfortable apartment, which is exactly as the description says. Add to that the communication with the hostess is excellent and the parents of the hostess who look after the apartment are very friendly and helpful people. We enjoyed the two weeks and recovered well. Thanks a lot!

We have recently returned home after spending 2 weeks in Apartment Lina in Pietrasanta. The apartment is beautiful; both well equipped and very comfortable in a lovely peaceful setting. The owners Franco and Romelia are amazing; always available to give any help or advice if needed. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make you feel welcome. It is also handy for the local supermarket which is a few minutes away and only a short car drive or bike ride to the beach. Pietrasanta town is a favourite place to go to admire the beautiful sculpture in the main square as well as all around the town and then to enjoy a coffee or ice cream while you people watch! Pietrasanta is well situated for visiting other towns along the coast as well as inland places such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. A bike ride round the walls of Lucca is so much fun. We visited Florence by train directly from Pietrasanta the station being only 5-10 minutes walk from Apartment Lina. We highly recommend a holiday in this wonderful town and apartment. A modern, clean and comfortable property.

The property is ideal for families and groups with 3 bathrooms. It is well maintained and benefits from air conditioning throughout. The owners live on site and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The beautiful town of Pietrasanta and the Versilian coast is easily accessible by bikes which can be hired nearby. Lucca, Pisa and the Cinque Terre are all easily reached by train.

Sembrava di aver lasciato la "nostra" casa al mare dall'anno precedente; tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno c'era:lenzuola, asciugamani, tovaglia, bagnoschiuma, detersivi per bagni e cucina e inoltre la famiglia ci ha fatto trovare frutta fresca e acqua e una bottiglia di vino in frigorifero!! Fabulous accommodation in a wonderful location!

A wonderful week spent in excellent accommodation in a truly magnificent part of Tuscany. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment to anyone who wants a peaceful vacation in an unspoiled part of Italy. The Beach clubs on the coast are an ideal way to soak up the sun , recharge your batteries and it doesn't get much better than an afternoon with a beer in the picturesque square of Pietrasanta. I now live in Australia but made the flight back to Europe for the opportunity to stay in this part of Italy .

Wonderful stay and excellent apartment

We spent three weeks in the apartment in July 2017 and we had a wonderful stay (as always in the Pietrasanta area). The apartment was recently fully refurbished, fully equipped and clean. Gianfranco provided excellent customer service. The area is quiet but it is also within walking or cycling distance to the small town of Pietrasanta. When we are in the Pietrasanta area we always rent bikes and would recommend this highly. This was not our last time in Pietrasanta or in the apartment. We will return:-)

Fabulous apartment

We throughly enjoyed our stay at apartment Lina, the apartment is exactly as shown. The air-conditioners came in very handy during the hot days. The apartment is close to Pietrasanta town and short bicycle ride to beach. We also took a day trip on the boat from Forte Dei Marmi to the Cinque Terra. The Sunday markets at Forte Dei Marmi are also great. The apartment is very spacious and has every you need. We stayed for 4 weeks and we will be back again. Gianfranco, Romelia and Oriana were great, very welcoming and always available to help. Loved that we were able to pick homegrown vegetables from Gianfranco's garden. My son enjoyed spending time with Gianfranco and his grandchildren. I will miss my morning chats with him and his wife. Thank you again Oriana and family for allowing us to stay, we will back next year.

Scelta perfetta per vacanze in Versilia.

L'appartamento di Oriana e' semplicemente fantastico: ristrutturato recentemente con gran gusto e stile, e' dotato di ogni genere di comfort. L'arredamento è anch'esso recente e funzionale. Posto in un contesto residenziale, si apprezzano la tranquillità del vicinato e l'ottimo clima. La presenza di tre camere matrimoniali e di quattro bagni offrono la più completa libertà nell'organizzazione familiare per il soggiorno. La cucina e' assolutamente completa di tutto ciò che occorre. Le camere sono dotate ognuna del proprio servizio. Molto apprezzato anche il tavolo esterno che permette di mangiare sempre in ombra all'aria aperta. Una nota particolare alla famiglia di Oriana che si e' dimostrata molto cordiale, premurosa e rispettosa. Che dire? Quando torneremo in Versilia, non avrò dubbi su dove alloggiare. Concludo con un personale e sincero ringraziamento a tutta la famiglia di Oriana per la loro disponibilità e per averci fatto sentire davvero come se fossimo stati a casa nostra. Cristiano Ansaloni.

An Excellent property in all ways

There was nothing we could improve on from our stay in Pietrasanta at Oriana's house. Everything was perfect - from the easy arrival and assistance given by Gianfranco and his wife to the immaculate and lovely conditions of the house. The local grocery stores and beach and the old town were five or ten minutes away. We booked 5 days at the beautiful Bagno Chimera which was a lovely respite from the heat in July.

Our Tuscan holiday

We visited Tuscany in late May and stayed for a week In Apartment Lina in Pietrasanta. The journey from Pisa Airport was straight forward and only took 30 minutes. The apartment is conveniently situated half way between the beach at Marina di Pietrasanta and the quaint town of Pietrasanta. There are also two large supermarkets within easy reach. Both Oriana in the UK and Franco at the resort ensured that we had all the information we needed and that our trip went smoothly. The apartment was very much as described and the large comfortable bedrooms with en-suite facilities plus the twin/double room with additional bathroom were ideal for our group. The kitchen was well equipped for the times that we dined "in" and the lounge was super comfortable with plenty of seating and a Hi-Tech t.v. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us on our stay, the temperature was great ........no need for either heating nor air conditioning. Both of which were fitted in Apartment Lina. It rained, but I know from our previous visits to the area that this was most unusual. We visited Lucca the birthplace of Pinocchio........if you can believe that !! We also had a wonderful day out in Portofino, parked just outside and walked in. Although we had done it before we visited/hiked the beautiful Cinque Terre with the grandchildren We drove to La Spezia parked at the Stazione Centrale and used the train to access/return to/from the 5 villages. The beaches of Versilia are wonderful. Long sandy clean beaches stretching from Viareggio to Forte dei Marni. They are serviced by private Bagnos where you can rent Umbrellas , Beds etc. Many have swimming pools , tennis courts and restaurants or cafes. All in all a great place to visit a super place to stay with very friendly helpful hosts. Thanks Oriana and Franco.

Apartment Lina

My husband and I have just enjoyed a wonderful 2 week stay in Apartment Lina. Newly renovated the apartment is outstanding with every amenity needed plus it is fully air conditioned. It is set in beautiful private gardens with views of the mountains to the rear. Situated in a quiet residential part of Pietrasanta it is close to local supermarkets as well as the town which is a hub of small shops and cafes. The wonderful clean beaches are nearby also and where better to spend a day lapping up the sunshine. Simply rent an umbrella and chairs for the day and there is always good food available to buy for lunch. Franco and Romelia are wonderful hosts full of information about where to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for them. There are so many places to go all within easy distance for a day out from the apartment. I really love the street markets especially the one on Wednesday mornings in Forte dei Marmi! A lovely way to end the day is to dine "al fresco" on the terrace at the front of the apartment. An electric blind ensures privacy as you enjoy the fabulous Italian food. The variety of fresh fruit, veg, meat and fish in the supermarkets is amazing! We highly recommend Apartment Lina to anyone wanting an idyllic holiday and it is suitable for all, young and old alike.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in Pietrasanta - the cycle to the beach is shady, and the beach was luxurious with the private facilties. Our hosts gave us a wonderful example of Italian hospitality - we loved the homegrown vegetables, and sitting on our veranda sharing the local prosecco and grappa! Our boys had great fun, we visited Lucca, Pisa and Vinci - all an easy drive, the waterpark - and had early morning cycles up into the town to explore the local art and historic buildings. The town is a lovely atmospheric hub in the evening and there are concerts and art to enjoy. I would recommend this to people of all ages as the apartment is on one level. The parking and access is easy. A great location for exploring all Tuscany has to offer.

What a wonderful find! Our family of three has just returned from a week's stay in the beautifully appointed Apartment Lina and our time there was the highlight of our visit to Italy. The apartment itself is airy, modern, and pristinely kept. We found it a perfect place to relax and recharge. Our host Gianfranco was extremely warm and welcoming. The location is fantastic. A few minutes in one direction and you're in the charming old town of Pietrasanta with its art galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Head the other way, by bike or by car, and in minutes you're on the stunning Versilia beaches where you can rent an umbrella and chairs by the day and cool off in the Mediterranean. If you can, catch the Wednesday market in shopper's paradise Forte Dei Marmi. The fashion bargains were terrific. We also enjoyed easy daytrips to Cinque Terra, Lucca and Pisa using the apartment as a base. In the future we hope to return to see more, including the nearby Carrara marble quarry. Superbly appointed apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious and restful apartment. Beautifully appointed throughout and wonderful en suites to main bedrooms. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, suggesting many wonderful activities in the surrounding area. The main cycle path to the beach is accessible a few hundred metres from the property. Also there is a traffic-free cycle route to Forte Di Marmi and beyond, from Marina di Pietrasanta. Also the historic cities of Pisa and Lucca make a wonderful day out. We hope to return very soon as there is so much to enjoy in the area and look forward to meeting Gianfranco and family again. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for either a beach holiday or for touring this part of Tuscany.

Home away from home!

This apartment is a gem! It is centrally located for day trips in Tuscany or relaxing days on the beach. It is also a nice place to relax and hang out. The apartment is modern, spacious and spotless, with a well appointed kitchen and all of the amenities you could ever want. It has a nice front porch where we had many enjoyable dinners sipping wine and recapping the day's events. Hosts Gianfranco, Romelia are excellent hosts, very helpful and kind. Oriana patiently and promptly answered my questions via email as we were planning this trip. For a great dining "experience" in Pietrasanta, try Bisteccheria Il Vaticano. We also liked Il Cantuccio in Marina Pietrasanta. In Forte dei Marmi, try a casual lunch at Montecristo Levante on the beach, followed by gelato from Bellamia! The hardest part about our stay was leaving! We had a great experience here and would come back in a heartbeat!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and equipped with every facility you could hope for, spacious and comfortable and excellently located to visit the beaches of Marina di Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi. My parents are Italian but I was brought up in the UK. However, my brother and I spent all our summer holidays with family in this maisonette in Pietrasanta and we continue to holiday in La Versilia as adults!

Why they chose this property

My father is from the mountains close to Pietrasanta and his family moved out of the small mountainous village and settled in Pietrasanta in the late 1960s and chose this charming maisonette as their home and which we also used as a holiday home. At the end of 2012 we decided to renovate the ground floor apartment which we completed in 2013. This apartment and area is very special to us. We also own 2 new villas next door to Apartment Lina - Villa Dodi & Villa Iana (4 bedroom, sleep 8 each, 5 bathroom) so if you are part of a bigger group and need a larger property, check our property listing no. 88130 which compromises the two villas; Villa Dodi & Villa Iana.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is spacious and the en suites enable families / friends holidaying together to have plenty of privacy. Apartment Lina is away from the hustle and bustle of the beachfront but perfectly located to easily enjoy days at the beach and the charm of Pietrasanta old town. I have been returning to Pietrasanta for 40 years (now with my own children) as I can't find anywhere else to match it's beauty and charm!
