Step into your new favorite place to call home in Gatlinburg, TN! This is a two-bedroom genuine Log Cabin located in a private setting in the desirable Chalet Village area of Gatlinburg, TN. The decor adds to the charm and elegance of the cabin. The cabin is constructed of hand-hewn logs and features hand-carved wood trim, both inside and out. The three-levels of this well decorated cabin include a long list of comforts and amenities.

Two king size bedroom suites and a sleeper sofa will comfort you after those long days of hiking in the Smoky Mountains. Each bedroom suite has a walk out deck on its level, closet, 2 dressers, Roku TVs and attached ensuite, so unpack those clothes and make yourself at home.

The Living Room is home to a Queen sized sofa sleeper, a loveseat recliner, and a 55 inch 4k Roku TV and DVD. Off of the living room is a sitting area. Grab your favorite book and enjoy your surroundings. We have a selection of books and games for your enjoyment. Free Wi-Fi is provided if you need to bring your work along with you, or just surf the net to check out all of the attractions that are nearby. You will find a fully appointed kitchen off the living room which includes all of the dishes and pots and pans (we even provide Instant Pot, a crock-pot and spices!) needed to make a down-home meal.

The Living room boasts a gas fireplace to keep you warm on those chilly days and nights. Fireplace season is during cooler months typically October through March.

Entertainment options abound. A game room which includes a custom log pool table, recliners and electric fireplace, and multicade with 60 classic video games, 4K Roku TV/DVD and stereo system will keep kids as well as adults happy. And after a full day of exploring the mountains, you will be excited to relax in our soothing hot tub.

Three levels of covered decks allow one to take in the tranquil setting of this cabin and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Enjoy nature in our serene back yard. Swing on the porch swing as you enjoy the peaceful surroundings! Looking out onto the back yard, you will find a picnic table and maybe even spot a bear! Magnificent seasonal views of the Great Smokies abound.

Bear Moon Cabin is located in the sought after Chalet Village area of Gatlinburg. It is located just 1.6 miles from town, and 1 mile to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge and amusement park. Take the bypass for a quick (and beautiful) 30 minute trip to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
There are three club houses which include outdoor swimming pools, fitness center, game room, tennis courts , and playground equipment all included in your rental. (Swimming pools open Memorial Day and stay open through Labor Day or as long as the weather allows.)

Fantastic Cabin

Everything was as described. It is kind of tight in the gameroom but everything else was spacious and comfy. Thank you for a great stay! No issues and it was just as expected.

Sis in law 1st time

This cabin was perfect for our lil get away!! It was our sis in law's first ever trip to Gatlinburg!! The loft was beautiful & had a phenomenal view!! The bottom deck was the star with a good soak in the hot tub!! Also the video games & pool table was a great addition!! We were very pleased with our stay!! The owners were very quick to get back when we had a question!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great Gatlinburg Getaway

We spent 5 nights in the cabin which was the perfect amount of time to explore Gatlinburg and the National Park. Proximity to both of these was excellent as long as you don’t mind really curvy mountain roads with no guard rails! Just go slow and you’ll be good! The cabin was incredibly comfortable with plenty of space and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean! The owner was incredibly responsive when we arrived and found a tv not working. Problem was fixed with a new TV asap! It was very quiet and peaceful and an excellent getaway! My only call out is that the hot tub would be snug for 4 adults. We fit 2 adults and a 10 and 12yo in with no extra space. But it was hot and relaxing and you could take turns while others relaxed on the porch if you had more adults. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Bear Moon Cabin is owned by Erik & Hemma Papp of St. Petersburg, FL and their sons Alex and Tommy. After a long time love affair with the mountains they began their search for their dream home to use as home base for their road-schooling and adventure seeking. It took a while, but one look at the cabin told them it was worth the wait. They look forward to many more mountainside memories and wish the same for your family as you enjoy their log cabin home.

Why they chose this property

When we drove up to this cabin we were in love! The hand-hewn logs, the hand carved trim, the smell of the wood and the warmth we feel when we look at it made us know our search had ended. We waited to find the perfect home in Chalet Village so that we and our guests can take advantage of the Chalet Village perks, be close to Ober Gatlinburg for winter skiing and because the city does a great job of maintaining these roads. Moreover, this is the perfect jumping point for so many adventures. We love being immersed in nature and there is no better location to fulfill our dream of spending as much time in the mountains as possible. John Muir's statement the "the mountains are calling" really resonates with us and we think that you will feel that as well after your stay at Bear Moon Cabin.
