Our recent stay at God's Little Acres was enjoyable. The size was just right for our needs. The property was very quiet and you hardly saw anyone who was staying in the other rentals. It was unusually warm when we went to Alaska in July. Since I struggle in the heat, I specifically searched for a place that had air conditioning in the rare event that I might need it. In the amenities section of the site air conditioning was listed, however there was none. Also, the shower was difficult to navigate even though specific directions were given. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.
Overall a very positive experience. Other than some very minor cleanliness issues I would have rated the overall rating a 4.5 but that was not an option. Lots of parking space and I was able to park my boat on the property. The driveway enabled me to easily pull the boat in and drive it out with ease.
I would be pleased to stay there again and would recommend this VRBO for any person or group in the future.
My husband and I stayed here with my Grandma.
Pros: The location is beautiful and private. Surrounded by trees in the country but just outside of town so you can still swing by the store. The host was great about communication. Check-in was easy. Place was clean and stocked well. Loved the covered porches and outside seating.
Cons: the bed was very high. I had to pull myself up. They did have a step ladder provided but grandma was never getting up there. Luckilly the couch was super comfy for her. It's also got a deep jacuzzi tub (which is great) but can be challenging for someone with mobility issues. It was warm in the house about 72°-74°. No madder if we turned it down it stayed warm (might be a pro for you though). They did have a fan provided which was nice. No shoes allowed, I get it but you might wanna bring slippers.
Overall a great place to stay though. Love the location and porch. Great communication. Definitely would recommend but just keep the cons in mind when planning your trip.
Rental was exactly how it was described. We would stay there again if we visit Alaska again. Even saw a moose near the house. The only thing we would of liked, is darker window coverings in the bedroom. Very comfortable bed.
This is my second time staying in this beautiful place and all I can say is this is by far the best BnB I have ever stayed so far. Checking in was very convenient and the owner is always quick to response for any inquiries that you have. This place is equipped with pretty much everything that you need with a very reasonable price. The kitchen has awesome amenities and having a washer and a dryer in the unit is a big plus for me. Lee Ann’s home is only 12 minutes away from Fort Wainwright Wright, an hour away from Chena Hot Springs and very close to shopping malls and reataurants. Great value considering the overall unit, location, and free parking space! Would definitely visit again and I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Fairbanks.

Lee Ann was a great host! She is kind, thoughtful responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to my needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The place was very clean and well stocked. I love my stay here and I could not have asked for a better location. Overall a wonderful quiet and calming place. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a once in a lifetime Alaskan experience. I would stay here again easily!

Bed was not comfortable….mattress needs replaced. Water pressure is average. Great to have showers and laundry facilities!
We stayed during summer… 24 hr daylight and only sheers on windows. I would stay here again but I would bring my eye mask! Owner was outstanding!
This is a beautiful and very well maintained property. The location is a bit out of town, but that would always be our preference. We enjoyed the private setting and the sitting area on the front porch. Our one suggestion would be to add some privacy curtains in the bedroom, as there is a window to another unit that is visible through the sheer curtains, and they do allow a good amount of light into the room on the long Alaskan summer nights. The host was very responsive, courteous and professional in answering a few questions we had. If you don't mind driving to town and want a comfortable place, in a beautiful setting, I would highly recommend this property.
It was a very nice, clean property. It was perfectly fine for myself to stay, especially since I am familiar with the area.
I was a bit uncertain if I was in the correct unit. It would have been helpful if there had been a house number or welcome packet/ binder. I left the unit clean, but there were no instructions as to what the owners expected of me..ex. Did I need to put sheets and towels in the laundry, trash out, etc. I wanted to be a good renter and meet their requirements.
Host was accommodating and responded to any request promptly. The property was well kept and relatively easy to access, however located 6 or so miles outside of Fairbanks. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but guests need to drive to any location, one can't bike, walk, or hike. Coolest thing, there was a moose in the yard one night.
I did not stay myself. I paid for the VRBO as part of a graduation present for my daughter - 2 months in Alaska. I came up and spent 3 weeks with them traveling. Originally I had reserved for the whole month of July, but as plans evolved I shortened that to three weeks, but gave a full 2 weeks notice rather than the 10 days required by VRBO. Below is their review.
We stayed here for 3 weeks. The rooms were clean and as advertised. The space is a little awkward, but met most of our needs during our stay. There is not really a comfortable place to sit and do desk work, so I would not recommend this place to someone who is working remotely. The pillowcases felt decorative. We had to use t-shirts over them in order to be comfortable. We were able to bring our dog, which was a crucial feature for us. The surrounding property is very pretty. We enjoyed sitting on the big wrap-around porch.
The host lives on site. During our stay, we had the feeling several times that we were being watched. For instance, the host emailed us to ask why we hadn't taken our dog out in a while. (We were at the unit the whole time and take our dog out frequently, but they must have not seen us).
After we left, the host contacted us multiple times claiming that we had broken or damaged various items or pieces of furniture in the apartment. These claims were false, as we specifically remembered them being broken at the beginning of our stay. The host did not believe us. I would recommend that anyone staying here should take pictures of any broken items when they arrive.
Overall, this is a fine place for a short stay, especially if you are going to be out and about a lot of the time. However, I would not recommend it for a longer term stay.
