This place truly is hard to beat! Just 10 minutes walk to all Kona town, the beach & pier. In a peaceful neighborhood where you don’t hear any traffic noise at all. Newly installed AC (October 2025) keeping you cool & comfortable throughout the entire home. AC in both bedrooms as well as ceilin fans and floor fans. 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse with private lanai gives a feeling your in a secluded area & also as close as you can be walking anywhere to all Kona town offers. This is the vacation house for you! Aloha

Awesome place to stay

This place is exactly as listed. We had 4 adults in the place. Lots of room. Good a/c in bedrooms. Nice deck/lanai to have a meal. Well equipped kitchen. Indoor table. It is easy walk downhill to pie but at the end of the day it is a bit of a steep uphill for a few blocks. We loved it here. Lots of toys for beach Great access to downtown. There is an available air bed. Host is great and responds quickly.

Delightful stay!

This little Oasis near the heart of Kona was perfect for a girls' trip....2 friends, one of which was also mom with daughter & granddaughter - that was our group. We loved the spacious accommodations - the special touches of Hawaiiana, the soothing colors of the interior (we thought the purple was great), the big kitchen, the use of beach equipment (first come...), the modern and fresh bathrooms, the comfortable beds, the veranda for morning coffee, the available parking just near the unit's entrance, the easy communication, and the trust shown to us. The only disappointment was that one of the room air conditioners for the main living area was not working, and had been put away. Each bedroom has a unit, and they work great. One cannot move one from the bedroom to the living room, because they require special handling and the owners have asked that you not move any around - which is understandable. After the initial arrival to a very hot unit, we opened windows, and it cooled down very well after the sun went down. Everyone in our group loved this sweet "mermaid" home and we all highly recommend it!!! We would definitely book it again!

Nice but unfortunately so many ants

I am from Hawaii and I know that to an extent bugs are unavoidable living here, but the amount of ants in the place was out of control. There were all these tiny little ants running around on the kitchen counters, kitchen sink, stove, bar top, and bathroom sink. There were just as many large carpenter ants on the floors, walls, and ceilings in the bedrooms and living room. We could not put anything out on the counter tops for even one second without a swarm. When packing at the end of the stay, I had make sure we weren't packing any of the ants (as I saw some also crawling over our luggage). The property manager or owner was responsive and did come over the first night and give me ant bait to put out. However, the bait takes a few days to kick in so it didn't really help our stay. Hopefully it helps the people staying there after us. Just FYI - the laundry and dryer is outside, not in the unit. Also, wear bug spray when doing laundry as there is a mosquito infestation back there. It is really unfortunate, because the unit is otherwise great - looks even better than the pictures. The unit is much more spacious and cute than the pictures portray. It is also in a wonderfully convenient location. We could make it down to Alii drive with no problems. Safeway was also nearby. And the hosts recommended a great surfing lesson place, which was appreciated. However, the ant problem was simply out of control, even for Hawaii.

Great rental very spacious

We stayed in this rental for five nights it was perfect for our family of 4, very clean with lots of space to spread out. The location is very convenient to downtown shops and grocery stores. I would definitely stay here again for the extra space and lower price!

Close to Ali’i drive

We liked staying here. The property was a quick 10 min walk to Ali’i drive. It had a great jungle canopy that buffered it from the neighbors. It is a top floor rental so no noisy upstairs neighbors. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was a lifesaver. Snorkel gear was available for us to use. Would rent here again.

Very comfortable vacation rental

This was a very nice rental. Good location, well appointed, spacious. Easy access to restaurants and farmers market. We only stayed there one night, flew into Kona and had one night on our way to Hilo, would happily have spent more time.

We had a great stay at this property. Our host was accommodating from the beginning to the end. Great location and close to shod and restaurants. The A/C units in the rooms worked great for the hot Hawaiian summer days! I do recommend for a family stay!

We just had one night in this house, and wish we had more! Beautifully furnished, fresh and clean in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to shops, grocery stores and more. The air conditioners in the bedrooms were a life saver, as my friends are from Alaska, and were a little overwhelmed with the heat. I would stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We love the location close to town, where the beach is just a few minutes walking distance. Shops and restaurants are endless fun, and the Farmer's Market provides local fruits and vegetables, flowers, and local gift shopping.

What makes this property unique

The view from the upper floor is beautiful, with the blue water sunsets through the trees. A classic view of the mountainside as you drive in and out of the driveway or to and from the house. The Lanai is a place to be outside with privacy. It is a nice, quiet, hilltop compound, where you can relax. The driveway is lined with banana trees fresh to pick from when in season. The neighborhood is very quiet with lots of shade. It is a very unique place, which made us fall in love with it!!
