Nice mountain getaway. Well equipped kitchen. The stairs to the pond and dock are a bit worn out, but overall a good stay.

Couldn’t be Better
This place is beautiful! Quiet, restful location but still close to town. Fireplace, deck, comfortable beds, so clean, roomy, just everything pampering. (Bonus was watching deer graze in the morning.)

Incredible place!
Our family LOVED staying at The Sweet Spot for our memorial day vacation. We whitewater raft each year and the location of this home is only 5 miles from our favorite WW company! The home was incredible and I spent most of my time relaxing on the outdoor porch in front of the fire. We hope to return to this little paradise escape many more times!

Beautiful cabin and location!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pond behind the house was stocked with some of the largest bluegills I've ever seen. There's plenty of activities here to keep you entertained regardless of your age!

This cabin was immaculate! The layout was perfect for our group of 7 with room to spare. Beds were extremely comfy. Plenty of hot water for all of our showers. McCaysville is an adorable town. Everyone was very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to booking again.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. Gorgeous, spacious rooms, well stocked kitchen, comfortable sitting areas inside and out! We enjoyed the floating dock and bank area for fishing, sitting outside on the deck and the covered area taking in the beauty of the area, and taking turns playing ping pong! The area was so quiet and peaceful. The cabin had plenty of room for all 7 of us with room to spread out when we wanted and great spaces to spend together as a family. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!
We enjoyed our quick weekend trip staying in this beautiful cabin. Our kids (5 and 8) loved the upstairs loft area. Perfect place for kids to play. Quick, easy drive to Blue Ridge. My only complaint is that there was a lot of ladybugs living in the ceiling fans, mainly the loft area and kitchen, and they would often fly down and say hi to me while I was making dinner. Despite that, we still had a nice stay.

Ladybugs are definitely a nuisance at this time of year, which is why we send a note out to all incoming guests advising them of this and our regular pest control program. We are glad to read you otherwise enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again!

Perfect fall getaway!
Booked the cabin last minute for an apple picking trip and we loved everything about it! There was plenty of room to hang out and have meals together! Caught lots of fish!
Comfy beds/roomy bathrooms!
It fit all 7 of us and we had an extra room not used!
It was very toddler friendly, I wasn’t worried about them breaking anything and the bedroom upstairs with the trundles was perfect for them! They already asking when we can come back!
Downtown mcaysville is right down the road and is a must!
Excellent communication leading up to and including post stay. Cabin was as presented, clean, tidy and well stocked with linens. No problem driving straight to the cabin via GPS (appreciated the additional pre-instructions). Only hiccup was the door code given, had to call to get the current one. Customer service had to give us the current code. Thankfully we had cell service and could connect. Roads paved to the driveway which is somewhat steep but well graded. Parking dead ends at the back was supposed to be for 5 vehicles but would be tight for 3 (no real turn around once everyone is parked).
Funny discovery: Game room light and full bedroom hall light are on the same switch - took us a minute to figure out why when we turned off the hall light the game room light went out.
Major Bummer: Outdoor fireplace wasn't working and we were notified a few days before by the property manager that the required/necessary part would not arrive in time for our stay. However, they provided a discount for each night to compensate for the loss.
Would definitely recommend this unit and, if we return to the area would see if it was available should we have a large group again.

Thank you for providing your feedback, Melissa! We are glad that overall you enjoyed your stay at this cabin. We apologize for the mentioned issues, and we appreciate you reaching out to our local team for assistance. We are happy to report that the fireplace is now working, and the access instructions have been updated properly. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
The home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our family of 4. We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. It was appreciated that the grill was very clean and had an extra propane tank available if needed. We’re grateful for the quiet & restful getaway!
This was possibly one of the most charming cabins I have ever stayed in, with there being many in my past. The cabin was complete with all the amenities you would need for a short vacation, plus cute additions like a checker board and a grill. Everything was clean, cozy, and well decorated; will definitely rent again

Great Sweet Spot
The house is awesome with plenty of space for everyone. As others have mentioned, the outdoor fire place is perfect for spending great quality time with your family and friends. Added bonus of having the dock for fishing and woods for the kids to explore. No problems with the gravel driveway and we had rain. The only suggestions are for the owners to add lighting to the kitchen (very dark at night when you are trying to cook) refresh some of the kitchenware and indoor furniture and put blackout shades on the master bedroom window. Vacation time is for sleeping in. :-)

Thank you for your review, Carol! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager to look into further. We look forward to hosting you again!
Great experience overall but the driveway needs to have asphalt instead of gravel as its down a steep hill and our dodge minivan got stuck in the mud and gravel. Otherwise, beautiful cabin, no complaints.
We had an awesome time here-as the pics show there are no Mountain View’s from here. The place was very clean, but make sure to bring things like extra soap for washing hands, laundry pods if you want more than 1 load done, the pans are older so if you want to cook a lot you could bring your own, bring lots of fire wood, water-the fridge is older. The kids loved running around the place, plenty of space to do that Oversll we had a great time, just make sure you bring the extra things.

House but incredibly Uncomfortable Experience
We killed over 40 flies the first night we were there. None of the electronics worked and it’s because many of them were 15+ years old. One of the DVD players ate one of my discs and I never got it back. The microwave didn’t even work. The sheets in the master bedroom were so start by and rough I had to buy a king set from Walmart. The downstairs bedroom had dangerous gas heaters which is were my kids had to sleep and so I had to buy an electric heater as well. Overall nice house but the owners or mangers are absurdly interested in cutting corners and it shows.
My family and I enjoyed a short and sweet trip to the mountains. The cabin was wonderful, very clean and comfortable beds. I only wish the master bedroom had curtains/blinds, that’s my only “complaint”. We had a great time and hope to return.
