About Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake is a spring-fed, sandy-bottom lake known for its exceptional clarity and recreational variety. It’s 70 feet deep at its center but shallow along the shoreline—perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. The DNR public boat launch is conveniently located just east of the property.

Enjoy sailing, paddleboarding, fishing, or simply floating the day away from late March through late November on one of Michigan’s most beautiful inland lakes.

A perfect family vacation before the kids go back to school.

We arrived to a beautiful clean home, most impressed with the quality of the beds. The view and the condo is just as you see in the pictures with new appliances. The weather was great and boat rental went smoothly. We would love to go back here again sometime. Jeremy was easy to work with and came through with great dining experiences when asked.

This was one of the most beautiful places we have vacationed. Not only was the owner incredibly helpful while booking and as we got settled into the house, but the layout of the house itself was absolutely exquisite. There is an incredible view directly from the top porch and the beach was a perfect spot for kids with shallow, calm waters. We're not ones to usually repeat vacation locations, but this is a place we will definitely be going back to in the future!

We had an amazing time! Host checked in frequently and was readily available if needed. Pictures don't do the property justice! Rented a pontoon boat and fully enjoyed the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed the wrap-around porch, sunsets over the lake, and even fireworks! Highly recommend.

We’ve been to a lot of rentals, but this one was by far one of the best. Everything is new, clean and very well put together. The deck, the beach and the condo were awesome. What made our stay over the top enjoyable was our host, Jeremy. He was so friendly, communicative and very sensitive to make our stay successful. Our family (3 adults and 3 children) had a wonderful stay here. The house is clean, beautifully designed, and comfortable. Wonderful lake property-like staying at a resort

This vacation rental was perfect for our family of 5. Jeremy, the owner, lives close by and was very responsive to all of our needs. The condo was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the lake. We particularly enjoyed the wide covered porch. In addition to dining and relaxing on the porch, we were able to sit out and watch an amazing thunderstorm cross the lake while remaining protected from the rain. The location is great and the beach right in front of the condo provides easy access to swimming and boating (the pontoon boat we rented was delivered right to the condo’s beachfront). We felt like we were staying at a high-end resort and definitely recommend this property.

Last Summer Trip Before School Starts

We had a great trip to Crystal Lake. Jeremy and Laura were great hosts and the property was amazing…the pics really don’t do it justice. Every amenity you would possibly need is close at hand. Our teenage boys loved the basketball goal and had a great time with Jeremy and Laura’s youngest. Crystal is a cute little town and we highly recommend Oliver’s Pizza Planet, Ike’s Ice Cream, and Candle Cottage. We made daily (several some days) trips to Blanchard’s Thriftway, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. After cruising the lake on a boat from Just4Fun Pontoons, we realized we were staying at “The Castle” on Crystal Lake. You won’t be disappointed!

Fun for the whole family

Every part of our stay was wonderful. Jeremy helped us find a golf cart rental and was very responsive to all communications. We saw him a couple of times and he made great suggestions about things to do in the area. He made us feel very welcome with our group of 4 young children. The beach on the lakeside of the property was perfect for kids- sandy, shallow with a slow, gradual descent, and no dangerous objects in the sand because they don’t allow glass or fishing back there. Foot baths to keep our feet clean (though our kids also used them to play with their toys in). Lots of outdoor seating and an outdoor bathroom so you don’t have to go back upstairs and tack sand all over. Everyone we encountered from the marina was friendly. The inside of the home was spacious and clean, lots of towels and beach towels. The master closet was so large we were able to fit a blow up mattress in it for our daughter to sleep on. The seating inside was comfortable. This place also had the shortest exit checkout list I have ever seen. So short I completely missed it on the house rules document. We usually have to dedicate the whole morning before checkout to the list. Here we were able to take our time and enjoy our last morning on the property. We would highly recommend this cabin or any of Jeremy’s other properties.

Holiday Basecamp

Great country / lakeside getaway. Host Jeremy is friendly, accommodating and attentive. It was Thanksgiving week when we came so it was cold but the scenery and wildlife is still there to admire. Nice neighbors and locals. You can do a lot worse by staying in a hotel nowadays.

Great get away

This was the perfect spot for our end of summer get away. We spent almost our entire stay out on the porch or down at the beach, even though the beach house was beautiful inside, the view was even better. Well, teens spent more time inside, as there are smart tvs and wifi. Owner was friendlyand helpful. We loved it. Hoping yo go back next summer.

Between running our local businesses — like Ike’s Ice Cream Shack, Farmer in the Dell, and Crystal Lake Cottages — we spend as much time as we can on the water, enjoying the same sunsets and sandy shoreline you’ll see from the balcony.

Our home sits right on the north shore of Crystal Lake, where every day starts with the sparkle of sunrise on the water and ends with golden light dancing across the waves. The Crystal community is small, friendly, and full of classic Michigan charm. You can stroll or golf cart into town for hand-dipped cones at Ike’s Ice Cream Shack, burgers at the lakeside restaurants, or live music on summer nights and weekends. Just steps below, your private sandy beach awaits. The shoreline is shallow, clear, and perfect for swimming, lounging, or launching a kayak or paddleboard. Kids can play safely in the soft sand while adults relax under the sun or dip their toes in the water.
