Welcome home to A Swell Life! Whether it's for a week-long getaway or an extended stay, we invite you to make this poolside cottage your 'beach home away from home.' Nestled along scenic 30A in the gated community of Old Florida Village, you'll be a half-mile from the white-sand beaches of Florida's famed Gulf Coast and just seconds from one of two neighborhood pools.

Each of A Swell Life's three bedrooms boasts its own private deck, where you can enjoy relaxing vibes and palm tree views along with coffee, cocktails, or conversation—or maybe even a few moments alone, if that's what you're after. The master bedroom is upstairs and features a king bed, TV, two closets, and bathroom with dual sinks and shower heads. The second upstairs bedroom includes a queen bed, TV, ensuite bathroom, and a desk for remote school or work needs. The third bedroom, on the main floor, also features a queen bed, TV, dual nightstands, and private screened deck with seating for 2-4, as well as a dedicated workspace if needed. The third bathroom is adjacent to the main-floor bedroom and features a shower/tub. The kitchen is well-stocked, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants within less than a mile. A few favorites are Kith + Kin coffee, The Perfect Pig for happy hour, the upstairs bar/restaurant at Shunk Gulley for lunch or dinner with a view, Pecan Jack's for a double-scoop of unique ice cream flavors, and Growler Garage for a flight of local brews.

Place is convenient, clean, and nicely furnished - map on Vrbo was slightly misleading as it had location in neighborhood closer to beach - that’s on me for not double-checking address

Thank you for staying with us. We, too, love staying at vacation rental properties, and as such are intentional and accurate when describing our home to prospective guests. As written in our property description, it is a "half-mile" from our home to the Gulfview Heights beach access (and a little less than that to the Spooky Lane access). Many of our guests opt to walk to the beach, while others take advantage of the discount offered through our management company to rent a golf cart or bikes for the length of their stay. We have no desire to mislead -- after all, happy guests are repeat guests! We have also double-checked the pin shown on the map in the VRBO listing, and it is accurate. If users zoom in on the map, the pin lands directly over our home.

Great access to beach and pool

I loved the little neighborhood ..we loved walking each morning and riding bikes .. the beach was very close .. only trouble we had is being forced to move our beach gear because beach was private ..but none of the owners were out enjoying the beach ?!? I can’t imagine how crowded that little area will be when it’s prime beach season !!

My family and I had a great time. The house was perfect for us, located right next to the pool, and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. With the $200 Vaykgear credit received for booking the house for a week, we rented bikes at no cost to us and biked to the beach every day. We also loved this location on 30A and is always the area we try and stay in. Just a hint, the beach was never that crowded but if you want a for sure front row spot, take your stuff out early morning to claim it. You don’t have to stay and wait but just throw it out there and come back later.

Beautiful home in a very nice community

We had a wonderful time at this property. There was plenty of space for our group of 6. We enjoyed the balconies in every room and having the pool right next door. The beds were very comfortable and the house was impeccably clean. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was how bright it is in the bedrooms since about 6 am. The neighborhood was quiet and very well maintained. Overall a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay!

We visited Casa Seaesta in October with our two children, 11 & 8. It was a vey nice home in a beautiful neighborhood. The pool is right next door, but it was never loud or crowded. The house lay out is open and each bedroom is spacious. The kids loved having a TV in their rooms! The beach is a quick drive (approx. 3 min) so I would drop off the wife and kids with the beach gear and then park back at the house since public parking was tough to come by. Then it was about 5 to 10 minute walk to paradise! More than once my wife commented that this house was better stocked than any we stayed at before. They had coolers, umbrellas, a gas grill, and plenty of cooking utensils. There were plenty of games, as well. One night we walked down to Pecan Jacks for some ice cream after a family game night. Overall, we would definitely book here again the next time we visit if it is available. I hope this review helps, and I hope you enjoy your vacation!

David's 40th Birthday Getaway

I stayed here Labor Day (2021) weekend with my boyfriend and 2 other couples and we absolutely LOVED our rental. Check in/out was super easy, this 2 story unit was clean and had the perfect layout for 3 couples. We each had our own bathrooms, the kitchen/dining/living room area was open for entertaining and the pool was steps outside our door. About a mile from the beach-too far to walk for us but perfect for bikes or a golfcart, which we rented. We will DEFINITELY return with other friends and/or family in the near future. It was a good 45 minute drive to Destin where we did water activities and shopped and bar hopped but you can NOT beat the price and setup plus there are a few yummy restaurants not to far away at all. Til next time. Thanks again!

Family enjoyed having a house to retreat to after military ceremony’s. Location allowed for beach time, great dining options, walks, and comfort for long talks to catch up. WiFi was the only issue. We were never able to get it to connect.

We enjoyed our vacation and the house. There were several pots and pans and dishes and utensils that were extremely dirty. All I had to do was run them through the dishwasher to get them clean. Which tells me that either the cleaning service is not doing a very good job or the renters before us didn’t clean at all. There was food stuck on several items which was really gross.

The only complaint I have is the dryer was broke and it took forever to dry the clothes .
