Disappointed with the quality
For the price I paid, I was disappointed.
It is indeed a beautiful building in an amazing location, but the interior of the house is quite basic - and in some cases doesn't match with the listing.
It doesn't sleep 5 (unless you squeeze 3 people into a queen bed) and there's no hot tub (it's a bath). There is only comfortable seating inside for 2 people (unless you can sit around a dining table all night).
The bed linens look like they've been used by hundreds of people before and are part polyester. I'd expect this in a cheap hotel or hostel, not in a house at this price.
Cleaning supplies provided also looked like they'd been used by hundreds of people too - two dirty sponges and just enough washing-up liquid to get through a few days if we watered it down.
The house gets ludicrously hot in the height of summer, so you have to keep the shutters closed during the day, meaning you get no fresh air and a stale smell builds up. If you open the shutters when it cools outside (which you'll need to do, as there is very little light in the house even with all the lights on), you'll be eaten alive by insects.
Dead insects then build up in corners of the room in their hundreds as the days go on.
The property manager was very helpful when the fridge broke on the first day, he replaced it first thing the next morning.
Fantastic location - lots of cultural things to see.
