We were looking for a place close to a family wedding that was taking place in greater Philadelphia. We found this great place that offered the bed space for the amount of people that were staying and the location was perfect. Close to family, shopping and trails for running and walking. My family enjoyed there stay and would recommend this gem to anyone.
This was a great house. There was plenty of space for everyone. The toys and craft materials were such a fantastic unexpected surprise. However, if you are light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. It is an old house and the upstairs flooring creaks. Otherwise, this was a great place. We highly recommend it for families.
House full of character in a convenient neighborhood
We loved how this old house had plenty of room, was well designed, and had both character and excellent renovations. The 3 bathrooms were sparkling new, the AC worked great during a heatwave, and the basement was a padded and fun refuge for our year and a half year old granddaughter who LOVED her time playing with balls and running around in the colorful, kid-safe area. All communication with the owner was clear, gracious, and helpful. We found the entire house was impressively clean, especially for an older house. We were in the area for a wedding and spent 8 days at the property, and it was a perfect stay for our family.
We had a great stay in this lovely, comfortable house. The kids especially loved the basement play room and the trampoline. Slept 9 comfortably, well-equipped kitchen, great bathrooms.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It’s perfect for a family with little children. The house was clean and very spacious so our family can spread out and enjoy the space. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and dining in the dining area. We would def stay at the house again.
The property was spacious and warm. It was convenient to local restaurants and fun activities. It is also convenient to downtown Philadelphia with freeway and non-freeway routes. We have 3 kids, each of whom had their own room, which they loved. I loved the character and charm of the house. The woodwork is unbelievable. The house retains it historical detail with great updates in the bathrooms and appliances. My favorite place was the front porch after a long day of exploring. The kitchen is fully stocked. And, above all, the owner is very responsive. We would stay here again if we are in the area! Recommendation, the owners use Roku for the TVs. It s a good idea to research what Roku is before you arrive so you can get the TVs up and running correctly. Works great!
My wife and I booked the Elisa's house for a 3 night stay for our wedding weekend. Elisa's property was perfect for getting ready before our wedding and for unwinding after. The back yard was great for hanging outside and playing lawn games. The house was very clean and fully stocked with bed linens and towels. Elisa was very responsive throughout the whole process. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this unique and beautiful historic house.
House looks just like the pictures. I had family in town for graduation Very clean. Check in process very easy. Kitchen well stocked. My teenage niece loved the expresso machine. Enough dining room seating without feeling cramped. Full bathroom downstairs which was very good so people did not have to run upstairs for facilities. Front porch was very nice to sit on and enjoy the rain and talk. Master bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, which was very nice for my 80 plus mother. Each upstairs bathroom had a bidet and was very modern. Beds could have been a little more comfortable but it is hard to pull that off when u need to accommodate different age groups. Bedrooms were large enough so we were not on top of each other. Lots of books to read. My little nieces never tired of the children’s books
Large backyard where we had a cookout for dinner one night. All grill supplies available
The highlight of the house for the kids was the basement. Padded gym floor with every possible toy in bins. Couple of swings, gymnastic equipment and box’s full of all kinds to things to explore and dress up clothes. Play time was great
Outside of the house could have been a little neater backyard grass was cut so we were fine being outside.
2 minute ride to valley green if u want to walk or run in the park. Close to chestnut hill for dining and shopping If you are looking for a place for family of different age groups to stay together. This is your place. Thank you to the owner
I cannot say enough good things about our stay and communication with the hosts. The house was beautiful with plenty of amenities and very kid friendly, very clean and well stocked. The hosts were very quick with their communication and accommodating to our needs. We would definitely be booking this again if we do the same trip next year.
We were very pleased with the communication with our host. The home was clean and had a great basement for the kids to play in. Would stay there again and definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a VRBO in the area.
This house was perfect for all of our family to spread out. Three adults, two teens, a tween, and a toddler and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Great for hosting a family dinner as well. We loved our stay here and would definitely return!
The property was pristine and the neighborhood was gorgeous. The property felt like home with a warm feeling. The property had everything you could imagine for serving, hosting family, friends, and everything was immaculate.
This is a charming property, complete with everything you need to feel right at home. Everything about the check-in/rental process was smooth, Elisa was wonderful and very helpful, offering great restaurant recommendations, etc. The surrounding area is gorgeous and easy access to various food/shopping and downtown Philly. Perfect spot to stay with kids/family. So happy to have found this spot!
Our family spent Christmas here, the property was exactly as described and clean upon our arrival. We arrived to a lit Christmas tree and holiday lights setup on the banister it was extreme festive!
Liver the house, had a ton of character and was perfect for a small family get together. Bathrooms are super clean and even more modern, wonderfully updated. Plenty of sleeping, great kitchen with everything needed to cook some family meals. Great communication, loved it!
Elisa was so nice to communicate with and always available.
Location ideal for local activities and restaurants.
House was very kid friendly.
Bathrooms and beds especially nice.
This house is really great for children. We had two year old twins with us or a week and all the toys and books kept them busy the entire week. The house is also really clean and has everything we need. The only thing that I think needs a little attention is the WiFi. We have two adults working from home half the time and we weren’t able to do zoom calls without getting dropped. If the WiFi issue can be addressed , this will be great for families who just need a little break from their apartments during this pandemic
We spent a long weekend with our extended family over the holidays. The house was perfect - plenty of room for everyone. The bathrooms are new and modern. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Thank you to our host!
This is a fully-updated century-old house in a classic NW suburb of Philadelphia. Outstanding features include deep-relief carved wood panels on the walls, and bathrooms with sparkling modern European fixtures: toilets, showers, sinks and, yes, bidets. Very spacious with 3 floors, and a well-equipped kitchen. Excellent AC and WiFi. Prompt, cordial communications with the owner. There were no issues. It is not far from Valley Forge, and directly across the street from the wonderful Morris Arboretum. It is a ways from downtown, but a pleasant drive on forested parkways. Our best vacation rental ever.
