We had amazing week in this beautiful house. We enjoyed sitting on the deck every morning drinking coffee and curling up in the couch in the evenings! BeautifulHouse with an amazing host!
This lovely home was perfect for our family.
The layout ( 4 bedrooms plus 3 full baths ) fit our needs because we had 3 generations under one roof. The kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to prepare all of our meals in house. We sincerely recommend this property!
The cabin is well furnished and comfortable. It does have a lot of stairs, so it would not be good for people with with poor mobility. The host/hostess were very responsive to questions.
We loved our stay and the cut town of Green Mountain Falls. This place is great for a group with lot of room to stretch out. It’s also setup very well for your pups.
The property is nestled in the mountains, on a quiet street, surrounded by large pines. It is beautiful inside and out, and is well equipped. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. We loved it so much, we’re talking of reserving it again next year!
Stayed here for 4 nights in late July. There were 6 adults and 2 kids. House had everything we needed and plenty of space for the group. Location was great with a short drive to CS or Woodland Park with plenty of great hiking nearby. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Super Clean and near everything. Great walking and hiking location. Easy access and parking off street.
Front porch wicker furniture needs replaced completely and the front porch hand rail on stairs is almost dangerous/in bad shape.
This is our second time to stay at this location and everything went well. The house is very accommodating for our group. Its hard to find a four bedroom with at least three queen size beds. It was 100 degrees in Colorado Springs so the AC really came in handy....it was really needed. We would recommend this cabin to any group or family. The house is starting to show a little wear here and there (storm door closer was laying in the planter box and the exhaust cover on the face of the microwave is missing and some of the paint touch up has been done with the wrong sheen so the touch up is evident) but we would still rate it a four star accommodation.
Nice clean place with very good amenities. well stocked. Very central area. Close to Woodland Park and Colorado spring. We had one mechanical isse ( it is a house after all) and the team got a repair guy out that afternoon. Just an fyi, it is air conditioned. Local restaurants were good.
The fireplace was awesome. The deer trail right behind the cabin was exciting.
They were dog friendly but a mowing of the dog walk area would improve that greatly.
We will come back again.
The property was great, with a master bedroom upstairs and the living/bed area downstairs it worked great for my wife and I and our married son and his wife. The fenced area for the dogs was very welcome.
We arrived to find the house a chilly 43 degrees and could not get the heater to work. I texted the hostess who had her handyman there in less than an hour and then had an A/C man show up at 7:00 pm the night before Thanksgiving. You always hope everything is great at a rental, but it is nice to know that the hostess will go to great lengths to get a problem resolved.
We were treated well; the house is nice with everything a person needs to fix a holiday meal and the dogs loved it.
I will stay at this property anytime I'm back in the area.
It was really a nice place. Lots of room. Had a great time sitting around fire pit in evenings. Boys enjoyed the basketball court. Nice drinking coffee and sitting around front deck. Great time grilling and eating on back patio. Saw bear off front deck on our last morning. Lots of deer around. Few little things to improve stay: there were no dishrags. No can opener. No trash can in hall bath. There was trash from McDonald’s in basement when arrived. Shower mats would have been nice. Never heard back about a possible late check out. But overall still a beautiful place and we had a great time!!
The VRBO details, description, photos, and reviews for this cabin looked great, but guess what, it was even better than I could have hoped for. The cabins location is a short walk to the little town of Green Mountain Falls and it's restaurants, shops and beautiful trout fishing lake and gazebo. Multiple hiking trails are just steps away. The huge front deck has beautiful views of the mountains across the way, and the peaceful sound of the mountain stream across the street makes spending time on the deck a highlight of your time at the cabin. The back patio has a grill and big table and chairs for memorable family meals together. The inside of the cabin is wonderful for large families to be able to spread out and enjoy private time when needed. We stay in multiple VRBO properties from Maine to California every year, this cabin has easily the most well stocked kitchen we have ever enjoyed. We love to stay in for family meals, we love to cook, and this kitchen had everything and more to bake, cook and prepare all of our meals and desserts. While air conditioning might not be needed in Green Mountain Falls very often, when it does become hot, you are thankful for this unique Colorado mountain cabin luxury. It was 83 degrees several afternoons during our stay, thank goodness for cold a/c!. This cabin is the perfect home away from home while visiting charming Green Mountain Falls, and I can't wait to go back!

Unsatisfactory
My family and I rented this house for the weekend, but stay did not go as expected. Check-in is listed as being 4pm. Instructions to enter the house were sent after 4:30pm and only after we requested them. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was that it didn’t look like the listing photos. The living room and dining room have different furniture than what the listing shows. The second thing we saw was the master bed and sheets covered with a large amount of long, white animal hair. We went to wash the comforter and sheets, but the dryer did not heat. We spent the next four hours drying them, which is the last thing anyone wants to do after a long 12 hour drive. One of the main reasons we picked this property was for the fireplace- which also did not work. We immediately notified the property manager and a technician was sent the following afternoon to fix the dryer. He was unable to fix the fireplace. Another major problem we saw was one room missing a smoke detector with exposed wires, the other room had one dangling from the ceiling with exposed wires, and the carbon monoxide detector was not plugged in and the batteries laying on the floor. The rug in the living room curls up on two sides and creates a horrible tripping hazard. There were only thin quilts on the beds and the extra blankets smelled as if they have not been washed in awhile. No extra towels. The cabin is in a great location and has potential, but needs frequent quality checks.
The cabin was nicely furnished and very comfortable. We had communications problems with the manager due to a recent death in the family prior to arrival but this was remedied before we arrived. We would rent this cabin again. At the end of the street is a trail where you can hike up to a water fall. There is variety of good food available in Green Mountain Falls a short hike from the cabin. There was parking for at least four vehicles. Many of the other cabins in the area have very limited parking if any at all.
This House was Amazing! It was the perfect setting for us as we celebrated our daughters Graduation from USAFA. It was very clean, well kept and enough space to accommodate an extended family of 10. The downstairs was a perfect space for the teens in our bunch to kick back and enjoy each others company. We arrived with the Snow- but by Graduation Day- the snow had cleared leaving ample outdoor seating. I highly recommend this property. This was my first time using VRBO- I was a little anxious not having access information While driving to Colorado- but now I understand this is the normal process- so not to worry- My family would definitely stay here again to sit back and enjoy the surroundings that this property has to offer. Thank you to the host who made this as seamless as possible.

Wasn’t too bad for the most part
This property was in a great area to get away from the city. The only bad thing was there were unknown stays on the sheets and some blankets. Other than this we enjoyed the stay.

Get away spot!!
This property was very conducive to our needs. It was pet friendly. The dog run was important to us! However, the dog run had not been cleaned from previous guests. We had to purchase a scooper since the one on the property was broken to clean up messes from previous guests. This run also has many dead weeds from the fall. It is apparent that it had not been cleaned out from the fall.
The property was a bit overpriced. The master bathroom was awful. The drain in the shower does not drain while taking a shower. This needs to be fixed. It pools water which is not very sanitary especially during COVID. In addition the bath mats in that bathroom have not been cleaned and were filthy dirty! The mattress pads under all linens were absolutely disgusting with stains. In the description of sanitation, it stated that all towels and linen would be washed in high temperature water. The washing machine temperature from the previous load of linens that were left in the dryer was on cold. Once again, not sanitary especially during COVID. The dishes and pans were crusted with food from previous guests. We had to wash all dish-ware, cups and glasses prior to using. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. We left them there. Not sure why they were not put away. The stovetop and oven were also very dirty. We pay a cleaning fee which I believe should leave the property spotless. I had to clean counters, dishes, and etc once there. Frustrated!! 😡
However despite all the issues listed above, it was a great location for my family to meet in the middle and spend some quality time together. The fireplace was awesome!!
Not sure I would book this same property unless I knew the above issues were resolved especially the cleanliness issues.
We had two couples and having the upstairs and a separate area downstairs gave both couples plenty of space. The area is very quiet and the house was very comfortable. We would stay here again.
The camp location was perfect for our day trips to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods and North Pole. We were disappointed the firepit was out of propane as we were looking forward to using that but truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was more than enough room for our family of five.
Stayed here with a small group reunion and loved all of the small places to hang out...outdoor fireplace , Deck with wrap around seating and a two car garage to keep vehicles out of the hail... kitchen was large and appointed with everything needed to do our own cooking. Would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed the stay for our adult family. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 king master bedroom & bath and 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. Nice living room and kitchen, 2 full bathrooms plus the full master bathroom. The property was clean and lived up to ‘as advertised’. Communication with the owner was good but we did not need to contact them for anything. Check-in was simple. Nice fire pit in front and patio with grill in the back. Green Mountain Falls is picturesque but 20 miles from Colorado Springs in the beautiful mountains.
