Excellent relaxing holiday

The property was as described, the owners could not have been more helpful. The location lends itself to sightseeing, relaxing around the pool or playing one of the many games provided. We think several of our friends would enjoy staying here and will mention it to them. We were sad to leave and that we could not stay longer.

Sweet vacation

We had an amazing time in Carol & Gordon‘s house. The pool area has been the highlight of our stay as we had the chance to swim in the very large pool, made barbecue outside and enjoyed every evening with wine and music without being disturbed by anyone. Especially during COVID-19, this place made us feel safe! The house was very clean and the beds are comfortable. Carol & Gordon were always there when we needed help and even hung a dartboard for us :) We would always come back to this nice place and can recommend it for 100%.

Agréable séjour

Agréable sejour avec des propriétaires sympatiques, toujours aux petits soins tout en restants très discret. Panorama superbe. Piscine à n'importe quelle heure réservée uniquement aux locataires. Logement idéalement situé en montagne proche de la mer et de l'espagne.

Lugar cómodo en general

Mi estancia fueron de unas pocas noches y fue muy buena, la piscina es bastante grande y de lo mejor de mi viaje aunque recomiendo intentar limpiarla por vuestra mano ya que al estar rodeado de vegetación y al tener tantas plantas el lugar, pues se llena de insectos con facilidad. El señor gordon fue muy amable y aunque no supiéramos francés, habla un poco español y se le da bien el inglés. Tambien,si no dais muchos problemas o haceis mucho ruido, él lo agradecerá bastante. El lugar fue un poco complicado encontrarlo pero está al lado de una casita al subir por carretera un poco. Hay bastantes pueblos cerca y la mayoría son bastante turísticos, lo malo es que solamente hablan francés y poca gente inglés... Así que recomiendo intentar aprender algunas frases para comunicarse lo suficiente.

Dès l arrivée on s'y sent bien.Le jardin est magnifique et la vue de la piscine splendide. L'appartement etait propre à notre arrivée .il est pratique et rien ne manque. Merci encore pour ce séjour .

Large nice outdoor area with a beautiful view!

We stayed in Carol and Gordon's nice house for two weeks. We especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor area with the many places to relax, the large nice swimming pool, the ping pong table. All this with a beautiful view! Carol and Gordon are very friendly hosts! Always ready to help if needed. Thanks Carol and Gordon!

Perfect vacation

We had a perfect vacation in this appartment to spend a quiet week and relax. In this period, corona was everywere so an own place with a view, swimming pool, a kitchen and bbq outside, 2 outside dinner tables, a pingpong table,... we could do what we want. If we had some problems, Carol and Gordon were always ready to help us!

Excellent base to explore the area from, great outdoor area, perfect for entertaining.

We felt very looked after by Carol and Gorden who go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The apartment was clean and cared for, with a great library of books and DVDs too. Wonderful outdoor area perfect for a family holiday.

Well equipped gite with beautiful outside space

We had a lovely stay at Carol and Gordon’s gite. They were very welcoming and friendly. The gite is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There was also a great selection of sports equipment and games so I would highly recommend to families. It’s a great base to explore the area with plenty of day trips and activities within reach.

Lovely place

A super property with an excellent swimming pool to ourselves with no chlorine and really clean and well looked after. This as a place to stay has everything from the pool, table tennis games plenty to do if you never went out. Gordon and Carol are the perfect hosts leaving us a bottle of wine snacks,, pate milk etc nothing is too much trouble yet give you privacy also.The property was even better than the photos on Home and Away.would recommend to anyone from families with children to the elderly. Lovely couple and Gordon will make you smile.

Gite in the heart of the Pyrenees Orientales

This is a very well laid out gite with two double bedrooms, a single bedroom just off the kitchen area ( which our 10 year old son loved), a small showeroom and a living room with a dining room just off. We spent most of our time outside where the are three living areas - the pool, a covered sitting and eating area and a bbq with an outdoor kitchen. There is also a laundry room accessed from the outside. The area is stunning with mountain roads leading to villages with amazing Pyrenean views. We recommend a short drive over the Spanish border to Tapis where ther is a restaurant serving huge portions and offering views into Spanish coastal towns in the far distance. The Mediterranean port of Collioure is also a must visit. Carol and Gordon are fantastic hosts. They live above the gite, keep themselves to themselves, but are happy to help or just have a chat. The big selling point is the private pool which our kids lived in. It is modest in size, but very clean and very well kept. We had a lovely week here and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Wij zijn nu twee keer geweest en beide keren hebben we het heerlijk gehad. De tuin en de omgeving zijn ontzettend mooi. Het zwembad is fantastisch! Echt een aanrader voor een ontspannen vakantie!

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons séjourné trois semaines dans ce petit coin de paradis. La location est situé dans un endroit très calme, au milieu de la nature, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. L'endroit était propre, bien aménagé et fonctionnel. Tout était parfait. L'atout charme de la location est sa grande piscine à l'eau de source. Lizzy & Mark - May 2010

The property exceeded our expectations - clean, comfortable, cosy as well as being a cool retreat from the heat of the sun if necessary! We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and in fact we returned home 2 days ago and have just phoned to book again for later this year. Having been fortunate enough to have experienced unusually hot weather for May we felt no desire to leave the property for the first 4 days. The pool is fantastic, very clean and a great size. The terrace has so much space and Carol and Gordon have clearly put a lot of time and effort into creating different areas to enjoy. The BBQ area is fantastic with a large easy to use BBQ and an outside kitchen complete with hob, sink and fridge. Offsite we enjoyed the local towns and on one of the days when we did manage to drag ourselves away we discovered the lovely coastal town of Collioure, a real gem, well worth a visit! Overall this property is fantastic value and the welcome and hospitality of Carol and Gordon is priceless!
