The outstanding aspect of this stay was the location. The property is in the heart of Apple Hill, and is in the owner's farm. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside by a firepit and watching the antics of their goats, chickens, and dogs. We had coffee in the morning and a bottle of wine at night, courtesy of the host. The room itself was clean, but perhaps a little dated. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

I was fortunate to secure this room in 2021 during my October visit to the Apple Hill wineries. It was unavailable over the past few years so I was happy to stay in 2026. Gorgeous grounds and very comfortable room. If you can get this room, jump on it!

This darling clean log cabin studio was the bottom floor of a 3 story home. Total privacy, nice patio and view of the goats, chickens that come to visit and a beautiful big mello dog. Even had the hosts little dog lead the way to parking, pretty cute. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. It truly is in the heart of Apple Hill.

The property is conveniently located and central to all the apple ranches and wineries in El Dorado. The property is beautiful and the room was as described. It had the basics such as a microwave and small fridge which came in handy as the property is quite a ways from downtown Placerville. So if you want to heat up your leftovers or snacks, it's perfect. They have chickens and goats and a big, friendly pyrenees dog who greets you. He barks when he first sees you but then settles down. He's harmless and soon gets comfortable with you. If you are a light sleeper you may need the earplugs they provide as the rooster might wake you up if you're someone who likes to sleep in late. The bed was comfy too!

Night in the woods

We loved that it was tucked away in a beautiful setting among the trees. Our room was right below their beautiful home just a few steps down. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for a good nights rest. We would definitely stay here again!
