Relax in our cozy, standalone cottage on two beautifully maintained acres shared with the main house. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with fruit trees, chickens, and friendly resident pets.

The fully fenced, gated property offers privacy and security. Parking for up to two vehicles is available, with a short path leading to the cottage.

Located close to the heart of Placervilleā€”just minutes from downtown, Apple Hill, local wineries, shopping, and seasonal skiing.

Well-behaved pets are welcome. Please donā€™t leave pets unattended and clean up after them. Water bowl and waste bags provided. We look forward to welcoming you to our cozy cottage!

This is a cute little cottage, and we greatly enjoyed our stay here. The host thoughtfully provided many amenities, such as coffee pods, creamer, a microwave, a mini fridge, and plenty of towels and blankets (including blankets for our furry friends). The cottage was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Check in with smooth and communication was excellent. This is a great place! Only a few minutes from downtown Placerville and very affordable as well!

This was an excellent venue for my long weekend in the gold country. It was super clean, everything was provided right down to the gourmet coffee for the coffee maker and the condiments. I enjoyed the whimsical gold country/cowboy theme of the decor, the interesting guide to sips, sights and services in the area and the supper comfy bed. Also enjoyed the property's country-fied setting and taking a walk in the neighborhood. AAA!!!

We had a great stay at this cozy little cottage with our two pups. The check-in and check-out process couldnā€™t have been easier. There are lots of thoughtful touches like a coffee maker, nice mugs (coffee pods and creamer provided!), and a small microwave and mini fridge. Even water/food bowls and a blanket for pets! Plenty of bath towels, washclothes, etc. are provided, as well as toiletries for the bathroom. There is lots of hot water for the shower and great lighting for getting ready. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Short drive to downtown Placerville. We definitely would stay here again for a short trip!

We love sharing our property with guests. Chuck works full time, but still finds time to maintain the property to look like a park! I manage the vacation rental, coordinate events, work part time as an office manager, and enjoy seasonal creative projects. Weā€™re proud to call historic Placerville home.

Why they chose this property

Come relax and enjoy a little fruit-tree paradise! Our property is home to over 60 fruit trees, with Fuyu persimmons stealing the showā€”plus pears, apples, figs, peaches, plums, pomegranates, grapes, walnuts, apricots, and even limes. We keep a small summer garden, and when winter rolls around, we let both the land (and ourselves) take a well-earned rest.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is very private. We have 2 acres of well maintained lawns, orchard and unique trees. We have hosted a few weddings for our family. The weeping willow is a favorite as well as a 300 year old oak tree that has been wrapped in wisteria vines. There are several seating areas around the property for you to relax in and enjoy.
