It was a lovely place to stay. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Being able to watch the breathtaking sunsets both nights from the comfort of the rooftop patio was perfect. The house had all the amenities needed and was clean and very cute!

Very beautiful, if we ever come back to the island thats where we would love to stay. Shared pictures and videos with family. My 7 year old granddaughter stayed one night with us she was just mesmerized, thought grandma was a millionaire. Lol.

Beautiful and Comfortable

The house was so well laid out, with views out to the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Quiet, beach walk from house. We stayed over the New Years Holiday. Warm and cozy.

First vacation after 30 years with children!

My husband and I were so excited to finally have a vacation without our children or grandchildren. We booked this house based on information online and was not disappointed! The view was spectacular and we had easy access to and from the surrounding areas. I only wish we could have had a laundry room to use but all in all it was a very memorable vacation.

Nice place with beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay at this property, however there were some things that we weren’t happy with. We could not get the fireplace to work, the living room furniture was terribly terribly uncomfortable and the TV was very hard to figure out! The thing that makes this place worth staying at is the location and amazing views. The view made the other things tolerable.

Great Location

Enjoyed the views and the location for our stay. Easy beach access and close to the base. Amenities were good and place clean. Loud furnace but got used to it after the first night. Cozy fireplace and plenty of seating. We stayed in winter but this location would be wonderful summer location being so close to the water. Thank you :)

Owner saves the vacation

I parked in the wrong spot and the owner came knocking at our door the next morning. She fixed the tv confusion we were having, washed the windows ( salt water does a number on glass) and rinsed my car. The view is awesome. I should have brought my kites as the wind blows nicely.

Wonderful Mother's Day weekend getaway

My mom, sister, and I love to escape to the Puget Sound for Mom's Day weekend. This was one of the best properties we've stayed at. Great location, gorgeous views, beach access, nicely appointed unit, quiet setting...just lovely! Our only downsides were (1) I could have sworn the hot tub would be available when I booked, only to see a while later that it's only available after Memorial Day--so that was disappointing to us!, (2) the trundle bed is not nearly as comfortable as the main bed--I'd suggest some padding on the bed!, and (3) the bathroom is a bit small for three. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

A Get-away

Overall - the property was nice. We had arrived about 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday and had trouble finding the exact house number (using google map and garmin) as the light was dimming and the numbers are small and tarnished from weathering. The parking entry of the house, being on a corner, was slightly off the stated address and entry was from from an adjacent side road (to a park parking lot). We are not young and needed to get out of our car to check the addresses. The beach is good for walking but for Kayaking we went to a few other bays as the West side of Whidbey is pretty rough with not a lot of sea life in February.

Property was not properly depicted in pictures

Property showed that there was a hot tub, failed to mention that the hot tub was empty. Visited the property with my family of 4, looking forward to the fact that we could all sit out on the deck and enjoy the ocean. Unfortunately they had put the furniture away for the season so there was only seating for 2. We asked the property manager if it might be possible to get a few more chairs so we could enjoy the deck a a family however the property owner was not interested in bringing anything out. Lesson learner, ask questions, do not book your stay off pictures. Other than that it was a great home. Great location.

Nice property, but lacking advertised features

This was a well decorated beachfront property that looked fabulous online, but discovered that advertised washer and dryer were locked in a closet and not accessible. Likewise Internet and TV were non-accessible. A prior renter had pulled out a dead battery from the smoke alarm apparently because it was chirping/beeping and left it on a door trim…but management never replaced the battery. Likewise battery-run clocks in the living room and kitchen had dead batteries and were non-functional. The coffee filters in the cabinet were for a different coffee maker. Icing room carpet was also pretty dirty and needed a cleaning. It would have been a nice stay but these items really negatively impacted our stay.

Great beach front property!

We had a great couple nights here. The patio is amazing to watch the sunset. The propane standup fire pit was a real nice surprise. The hot tub worked great as well. Reasonable distance to really anywhere you’d want to go on the island. Awesome place to get away and relax. Would definitely return. Complaints are the guy mowing lawn and blowing crap around at 830am! Crappy wine glasses for the expensive wine we brought. Water pressure and shower aren’t great. Place has a real musty smell when you come in. We immediately opened all windows, of which there are very few that open. There is no way to open a window so you can lay in bed and hear the ocean. Could use measuring spoons and a pizza cutter as far as kitchen utensils go. No ice cube trays in freezer so you have to buy ice from store. No full length mirror for getting ready. Overall just little things but would be helpful next time. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Superb beach for rock hounds!

Pleasant house (lower floor) and neighborhood right on a popular beach access where a few locals gathered every evening for sunsets and sharing the rock "treasures" we found while walking the beach. The whole west wall is nothing but windows for views of other islands and the peninsula. Only about 10 minutes to Oak Harbor for shopping, on a route to Hwy 20 that, by the way, is amuch more straightforward way to get to this home than Vacasa's directions. As reported by others, using the TV was frustrating. We relied on our iPad to AirDrop our favorite shows to the TV screen. Never did find a way to watch NBC directly. Odd because the Wi-Fi was an Xfinity unit like the one we have at home, so why not have the most basic cable channels? On the other hand, some premium services such as Netflix are available. Anyway...the bed was comfortable, which is always a good thing. Yes, the furnace was loud as others have reported, like an A4 jet hitting afterburner. Weird (excessively ornate, heavy) dishware. Non-stick skillets should be replaced, though no worse than other vacation homes we've visited. (Going to start bringing our own pans and nonstick-safe utensils.) The gas fireplace didn't start reliably, always took some fiddling and relighting the pilot light (and a hint: the glass doors have to be closed for the flames to look at all like wood burning.) No vent for the range, so you might want to avoid cooking fish and other foods with strong aromas!

Coded door lock was not working. Made it impossible to check in. Called number given was talking with someone in el salvador. Finally given a code to a lock box to get in. Was told by local rep somebody would be out to repair it .stayed 6 nights nobody came. Also listed as a ground floor unit and had a quiet neighborhood policy wete the main reason we rented it. A constant stream of cars trucks and blasting music came back and forth in front of the house 25 hours a day.BUT WE HAD TO BE QUIET???? we rented the ground floor as we have limited mobility yet had to park and walk up a dirt hill with railroad tie make shift stairs MAJOR HAZZARD neither was listed in the vrbo listing.

Our family had a wonderful time at this property.There was a meteor shower the first night and it was pure magic to watch shooting stars over the water from the deck. Our first overnight outing with our 5 year old grandson!! He was so excited to stay up late to see all the stars. The next night we watched a beautiful sunset too. Really a special get away at the beach with big waves and lots of rocks to collect on the beach while the tide was out. Great water views and a quiet enclave of homes that was easy to get to from the ferry and nearby communities. The property is well maintained and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.Having an extra twin bed in the bedroom was perfect, so he did not have to sleep in another room. There is a pullout bed in the living room that would work for older kids. We hope to go again next summer! We also enjoyed seeing Navy jets, Coupeville waterfront and Camp Casey on our trip, We loved everything about being on Whidbey Island including how close it is to home.So happy to find a great place to stay!
