When staying on the island, I always try to book one of the Mattson's properties. I think Sandpiper Haven is quieter, but the view here at Sunset Beach is unparalleled; It is so good in fact, that we never left to do the usual tourist things, just went to the grocery store a couple times and cooked in. Also the bedding and furniture are super comfortable. The owners are the real deal, professional, excellent hosts. If I can't stay here, I'm going to another island.

The house and the setting were exactly what we wanted! Right on the water! Loved hearing the waves crash against the shore. The house was very well stocked, and the hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The furniture and bed were comfortable; the shower hot with ample pressure. The whole place was very clean and cozy. The house is close to town and to many restaurants and grocery stores.
