Holidays on the beach! Rustic cabin, modern amenities, great views-dog friendly!
Experience the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort at this one-of-a-kind beachfront cabin. With direct access to the sound, sand, sweeping mountain views, and unforgettable sunrises, this 3-bedroom cabin with a cozy loft offers a stay that feels both peaceful and elevated.
I'm honestly not sure whether I love the view of Mount Baker over the water or the beautiful ancient Madrona trees more. I am certain I love the ability to drop a kayak right into the water or to spend all day watching the sea life as the tides come and go. The cabin feels cozy and inviting and doesn't make me work too hard to enjoy it (it is way above glamping and not as stress inducing as some of those perfectly untouchable waterfront McMansions).
Great free WIFI. Whether you want a remote feeling getaway or a great place to do remote work, this cabin is ideal.
The cabin maintains its warm, natural character—wood textures, cozy spaces, and a relaxed coastal feel—while offering thoughtfully upgraded amenities that make your stay easy and comfortable. It’s the ideal setting for guests who want an authentic cabin experience without sacrificing convenience.
Start your mornings with coffee as the sun rises over the mountains, spend your days in the water - you are just steps from the beach, enjoy the fire pit or unwind in a comfortable, welcoming space at night.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed on lower floor (sea level) with private exterior entrance, window seats facing the beach, and an interior spiral staircase connecting to the main floor, includes flatscreen TV Bedroom 2: Queen Bed directly across from the bathroom, flatscreen TV, ocean view Bedroom 3: Full Size Bed, ocean view, games and toys Open Loft: Queen bed (cozy, semi-private space) with operable skylight Twin trundle daybed in living room for additional comfort/guests
The cabin is set up for ~4 people comfortably but can expand to fit more guests. Sleeps 8-10 guests comfortably. Any more may be challenging with one bathroom and overwhelm the island septic system.
Bathroom: 1 bathroom (clean, well-stocked, and updated) with bathtub/shower.
The open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen are enveloped by vaulted natural wood ceiling. The dining area only seats 4 but the table has an expansion leaf if needed. Most prefer to dine on the outdoor deck which has seating for six and a phenomenal view. The deck is fully enclosed with a gate to the parking area and a gate leading to stairs to the lower level. The lower level has chairs and gathering space with an outdoor fire pit. A few steps down from the sea wall leads straight to the beach. High tide will reach the first few steps. The property boundaries extend all the way to the point on the North (left if facing the beach). Each bedroom has its own character, outfitted with comfortable beds, pillows, linens, and guest storage space.
There are two kayaks on site and available for use with waiver.
There are two other cabins adjacent to the property but it is a quiet cove and you can go all visit without seeing anyone other than the resident seal, bald eagle pair, or the local osprey. If you are feeling more adventurous visit the film location of Practical Magic (town of Coupeville), watch sunsets at the sandy beach at Fort Ebey just down the road, or kayak over to Captain Whidbey's Inn for happy hour. The cabin feels secluded but has conveniences not far (10 minutes to modern shopping & restaurants in Oak Harbor) and the quaint town of Coupeville is a few minutes the other direction for antique shops and great dining. You can see the world famous Penn Cove mussel farm right out your window (and a beach full of mussels as well).

About the host
Hosted by Renae Howard
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest but didn't know about some of the most beautiful parts of this area until after I had traveled the world as an adult! I am immensely grateful for the opportunities created by vacation home rentals which allows many of us to experience homes and locations that would otherwise be out of reach. Before this option, most of these homes were either sitting vacant as a 5th home for the 1% or a generational home that became difficult for an extended family to maintain and keep up. Because of this option I have created countless memories with my family all over the US and return to my favorite PNW.
Why they chose this property
The cabin feels private and remote but is close to all the modern essentials. It is easy to get to as there are frequent, quick ferries and a drive around option as well.
