Sun-filled Home with Stunning Deck and Two Cozy Fireplaces

Adults and children alike will delight in the comfort and simple beauty of our architect-designed beach house getaway. Complete remodel retained the casual feel with added bamboo and cork floors, a spacious, well-appointed kitchen with everything for the chef in your party, and an abundance of windows to connect you to the dramatic outdoors and peaceful tranquility of Whidbey Island. The stunning, covered deck offers year-round relaxation and the ideal place to take in the spectacular sunsets over the harbor while dining outdoors.

Enter the house through a cozy porch and step into the spacious kitchen that opens to the dining and living areas. The dining table accommodates up to 6 people and easy conversation with those preparing the meal at the kitchen island. Beautiful French doors open to the covered deck equipped with a gas barbeque and outdoor seating for six. The living area is anchored by expansive picture windows, two very comfortable leather couches for conversation and those required afternoon naps, and a wood-burning fireplace. Completing the main floor is a queen bedroom with ample built-ins for your clothes and a bathroom with shower.

The inviting area downstairs has two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and two twin beds in the other. You will be pleasantly surprised by the additional bath that includes a full-sized bathtub and shower as well as another sitting/playroom where you can cozy up with a good book, an evening beverage, and the inviting gas fireplace. The room also has a 55” Ultra HD Home Theater display with ROKU streaming enabled as well as a Blu-ray DVD player.

Children love to run in our large, unfenced yard and adults appreciate a lazy afternoon in the hammock, the warm outdoor shower, and gathering around the fire pit for s’mores after enjoying a day of beach, activity, exploring, and fun.

Small dogs 30 lbs or less are welcome with a $40 PER PET, PER VISIT. Please contact the owner for more information.

Were only 50 miles from the busy city of Seattle yet feel a lifetime away! Whidbey Island has so much to offer including access to many delicious restaurants, charming shops and galleries in Langley, and a variety of daytrips and outdoor activities. Our friendly beach community on Holmes Harbor is just 4 miles north of Freeland with access to all the amenities of home and a short 15 minutes’ drive from the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry.

Our long-weekend stay was excellent! We loved the outdoor deck with its beautiful view and the proximity to the beach. The house was well-appointed and the beds were comfortable. Due to a burn ban we weren't able to have a fire, but we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs under the trees, enjoying the breeze from the water. Very relaxing!

Wonderful visit!

We stayed for Christmas, and there were little holiday touches, including candy canes and a little tree with lights. Loved the walks on the beach nearby. Clean. Fresh place. Highly recommend.

Freeland weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house exceeded our expectations and was fully equipped with everything we needed down to the utensils and dishes for the kids. Fall stay at the beach

Communication with the owners was seamless, check in was easy, and the property was beautiful. We had a very nice stay on Whidbey Island and would definitely return to this property if we do. It's as good as advertised in the pictures, our only regret was that due to the time of year, we couldn't enjoy the beach or the outdoor firepit. Perhaps next time!

Beverly Beach Water View Home

Absolutely OUTSTANDING IN ALL RESPECTS. We can't say enough about this home. It is fantastic. Perfectly cleaned and the entire home from top to bottom could'nt have been better. The appliances are perfect. The views of Holmes Harbor are amazing and the beds were so comfortable! The owners have taken careful attention to every need for guests. Although we did'nt need to cook there, the Jenn Aire was immaculate. I have no problem recommending this VRBO to anyone. Don't waste time searching the other options. If the dates work for your trip, GET THIS ONE! Hope our review doesn't bite us by preventing other trips we might want to take that may prevent us from using this. Great Job! VRBO needs to be complimented and are lucky to have this one on their list!

The Perfect Getaway!

The home was immaculate, and we had everything we needed for a great 5 days. Dinner on the huge deck, barbecue, plenty of games, and a 2 minute walk to the beach where we hung out every day. We had trouble figuring out the barbecue and the host got back to right away & helped us get it going. Very attentive & great communication. Highly recommend!

Should Have Stayed Longer!

Our family of five (two parents and our three college students) spent a weekend here while attending a family wedding on Whidbey. The house is beautifully appointed and comfortable, and the lovely kitchen had everything we needed for making a few meals. We spent one evening sitting around the fire pit talking, and that was lovely. Steve and Suzie are easy to work with, and I greatly appreciate the lock system. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!

Wonderful Holiday Cacation

This is my second stay at Suzy's lovely beach house. Suzy is a caring host who is very easy to communicate with. The home is well maintained and located in a quiet, friendly walkable neighborhood. Every room in the beach house is extremely comfortable. The kitchen had all of the necessary items and appliances to prepare all of our meals. We spent our days walking through the neighborhood, on the beach, exploring and Freeland, Coupeville and Langley. We had a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. I would definitely recommend staying at Suzy's beach house!

Father's Day Retreat

We cannot thank you two enough for sharing your home with our family!!! We laughed every morning saying it was like staying at Snow White's cottage..we were greeted by the deer, blue jays, rabbits, squirrels and even spotted a bald eagle!! The outdoor deck was beautiful and we enjoyed it thoroughly! My kids even went 4 days without TV even though there was one downstairs!! We loved Langley and the market! The glass blower was amazing and even stopped into the local wine tasting store which was amazing!!

Wonderful weekend in Freeland

This was our first trip to Whidbey Island and we can't wait to return. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There is a good selection of games for families and plenty of space for a family of 4 to hang out. The views over the lake are lovely and the outdoor space is great for kids to hang around. The close beach access is a treat and we took full advantage. There are great places to eat reflecting Seattle quality and standards but at a much lower price. We even had regular visits fro local deer wandering through the garden. Would definitely return. Thank you!

Lovely views and great kitchen for a holiday stay

We reserved Suzy's home when my sister-in-law suggested a family staycation on Whidbey Island for Thanksgiving. I knew I would need some extra space for breaks from family and a great kitchen to cook more involved dishes for a holiday dinner. This spot fit the bill - the kitchen island and great stove made prep and cooking easy and there were plenty of dishes and kitchen gadgets so that we didn't need to bring much from home. My kids appreciated the books in the cozy downstairs room and we loved the water and mountain views from the deck. The property is a little further away from Langley/Coupeville than we usually stay, but still 15-30 min from the activities we wanted to visit. Bonus: we saw deer and heard the local owl hooting at night so it felt like a real getaway!

Another lovely stay at this home near the beach

We enjoyed this lovely home for the third time - still very comfortable with nice views, a great yard and deck. An easy walk to the lovely beach where we kayaked on Holmes Harbor. A great lay out for multiple family members upstairs and downstairs. We love to cook here and the kitchen is well stocked. Thanks for an enjoyabletime!
