The house, right on the beach, was perfect. The view out the window, Mt. Rainier was out for several days and there was a resident bald eagle that perched on a drift wood sculpture for hours, could not have been more enchanting. The host, Billy, was most accommodating prior to arrival and during the stay. We were there a week and it was a great starting point to explore the island. Our favorite town was Langley with Coupeville a close second. Oak Harbor was a disappoint, primarily because of it's size. Excellent restaurants in Langley, Saltwater Fish House & Oyster Bar, Coupeville, Front Street Grill, and Oak Harbor, Noe Jose Café Family Restaurant. I use to come to Whidbey Island as a kid and fish off the ferry dock and sell perch to the people in the cars for a quarter. Whidbey Island is still magical,
