The Homestead, at Nine Pines Farm - Hot Tub and Walking Trails

Whether it's the rich early-American history, or the scenic beauty of the Appalachian foothills, The Homestead is the best place to start your adventure into the Hocking Hills!
While the 23 acre farm itself dates back to the late Civil War Era, The Homestead is an updated farmhouse, at the front of the property, that still holds quirky and charming reminders of its approximately 150+ years on the farm. The Homestead also sits alongside the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the route Confederate Brigadier General Morgan took during his raid on Southern OH.

With it's rolling pastures, petite orchard and grapevines, and the staple white picket fence, it's too easy to get lost in a daydream on the screened-in back porch.
The fenced in area is a great place for your family pet to run, and the shared trails and seasonal pond are a great place to kill time. In the evenings, you can unwind by the fire ring out back, or relax in the hot tub on the patio.

The Homestead is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer!

This place is super cute and charming. The use of the space is creative and makes it usable for the whole family. We loved the whole stay. Great hottub, great laundry, good kitchen, soft and cozy beds, and abundant towels. Clean and easy. Great property. Definitely a perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend, or drive in an hike all of hocking hills or the other parks and forests. Good wifi too! Responsive hosts and amazing place.

Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had the grandparents (my wife and I), two sets of parents, and three kids 8 and under. Great home base for our short family vacation. Washer and dryer and dishwasher all came in very handy. Our only suggestion might be to replace existing louver doors to the bedrooms with regular solid doors. It's loud for people still sleeping in the morning when someone else gets up first.

We really enjoyed our stay and wish the owners would supply information about the history of the house and a few of the details in it. Our only issue was the bathroom off the kitchen. It was dust and the shower curtain liner was gross on the bottom. Other than that, the land is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and we had a nice visit!
