Large holiday house in Wine village with balcony and sauna sleeps 6-8

Ground floor
On the ground floor are two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, which was new in 2013.

1st Floor
Here is the 2nd larger bathroom, a snug to watch the TV (English and German) and relax and two bedrooms, one with 2 bunk beds and the other with two single beds.

2nd floor
The whole of the second floor is an open plan lounge, opening out onto a sun drenched balcony overlooking the village and the wine terraces. Comfy chairs and beanbags to sit on and enjoy the wide screen TV (English & German) , a good selection of modern fiction books to enjoy. There is a table football game as well as a galley kitchen and fridge.

Top floor
The top floor has a 2 person sauna and the best views of the area. There are also 2 mattresses which can be for young children if two families want to holiday together.

Garden and Parking
There is a small garden with an outside table with seating for 6 people, there is a BBQ and a sun shade.
Private parking for 1 small car to park. It is not an easy spot for a medium to large car, in that case you are better parking in the village car park around the corner. Additional cars can be parked, for free on the public car park 50 metres away opposite the Sponheimer Hof

Very relaxing stay

Somewhat funny but very large house with plenty of room to join each others company or relax on your own. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere with lots of basic needs already present in the house. Lots of things to do/places to explore in the surrounding area. Overall a very pleasant location and lovely small village to spend our holiday. Thank you so much for your good care!

Our familly enjoyed a short holiday in 'das blaue Haus' in Enkirch this October. Well equipped house with enough space for all of us. Good beds and a quiet village made us sleep longer than we planned -:)). Very nice surroundings.

Two pleasant weeks in the “Blue House”.

We enjoyed our fifteen nights in Enkirch at this property very much. This four story house (plus cellar) is very spacious, giving the four of us the ability to be together or separate as we wished. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge area large, and the bedrooms as private as one wishes. As the house is older it is more rustic than modern, but still quite comfortable. The parking space was rather challenging to get in and out of with our medium sized car. Enkirch itself is more a working wine village than a touristy town like Traben or Bernkastel, but still has a large number of historic buildings which make wandering the narrow streets pleasantly worthwhile. The locals were quite friendly and helpful, though often their ability to converse in English was less than in other parts of Germany that we have been in. We were pleased with this property, and would recommend it to others.

Tolle Küche - super Ausstattung, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Und die Lage ist super, mit einer schönen Aussicht. Die Matratzen im Haupt-Schlafzimmer könnten mal ausgetauscht werden. Und das große Badezimmer wirkt ziemlich altbacken, aber natürlich ist alles vorhanden und funktioniert auch.

Wir hatten einen schönen Wochenendtripp. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Nach einer schönen Schiffsfahrt und einer Wanderung durch die Berge haben wir den Abend beim Spielen und mit einem Saunagang ausklingen lassen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mangelnde Sauberkeit, sonst okay

Das Haus ist groß und bietet mit dem Balkon im Obergeschoss einen schönen Platz für den abendlichen Ausklang.Die Sauberkeit war jedoch mangelhaft. Besteck und Geschirr war klebrig und teils mit getrockneten Essensresten versehen. Im Wasserkocher wohnte eine Spinne samt Netz. Auf einem Bett lagen lange Haare. Handtücher hatten Flecken. Das Bad im Untergeschoss ist winzig und absolut renovierungsbedürftig. Warmes Wasser bekommt man im oberen Bad nur mit 20 Minuten Vorlauf. Das sollte im Inserat erwähnt werden, da es den Alltag, insbesondere mit Kindern, erschwert.Die Lage ist gut. Bäcker und kleiner Laden (Obst, Gemüse) fußläufig erreichbar. Der Parkplatz ist sehr eng, nur für Kleinwagen nutzbar.

Es tut mir leid, falls Sie es nicht so vorgefunden haben. Bezüglich der Parkmöglichkeiten erläutern wir die Parksituation in den Anweisungen zum Einzug. Das Haus verfügt nicht über zusätzliche Parkplätze, und es gibt einen Dorfparkplatz in der Nähe. Ich werde Ihre Anmerkungen zur Toilette/Dusche im Erdgeschoss berücksichtigen. Älteres Haus in Mix-Style für größeren Reise-Gruppen

Älteres Haus auf 4 Stockwerken, das offensichtlich mal etwas modernisiert wurde, eignet sich gut für zwei Familien. Eine modernere aber für zwei Familien etwas enge Küche mit viel nützlichem Equipment im EG, kleine nette Sauna im 3.OG, ein Aufenthaltsraum im 2.OG (den wir aber nicht wirklich genutzt haben, da etwas unpraktisch fanden). Zwei Schlafräumen im EG und zwei im 1.0G und jeweils 1 Badezimmer mit WC, wobei die beden Badezimmer und insbesondere das im EG echt renovierungsbedürftig sind. Der Dorf Enkirch ist sehr dicht und klein und bietet kaum was, die Ortschaften in der Nähe z.B. Trarbach od. Bernkastel-Kues sind seeehr schön und die Wanderungen auf den Weinbergen mit den schönen Blicken auf die Mosel sind atemberaubend! t Die Badezimmer

Familienurlaub an der Mosel

Es war eine schöne Woche, leider mit einem Wehmutstropfen. Eine hat sich am ersten Tag den Fuß gebrochen und konnte daher nicht zu Fuß die Gegend erkunden. Aber es gibt ja auch schöne Cafe's und die Möglichkeit der Bootstour.

Schönes Haus, Lage in Enkirch etwas trostlos

Das Haus ist schön und gut geeignet für viele Leute. Das untere Badezimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig, ein Sonnensegel im Innenhof wäre toll. Die Matratzen sind sehr weich. An der Mosel kann man viel unternehmen,wobei in Enkirch selbst wenig los isz.

Wunderschöne Gegend, viel zu erleben, sehr empfehlenswert. Aber im Haus ist einiges an Renovierung notwendig. Die Matratzen in einem Schlafzimmer waren durchgelegen, im Wohnzimmer gab es nicht genug Sitzgelegenheiten, der Abfluss in der oberen Dusche funktionierte nicht richtig. Die Kissen waren teilweise schmutzig. Alles in allem haben wir uns nicht richtig wohlgefühlt.

Tolles Haus, das viel Raum für einen Urlaub mit der erweiterten Familie biete. Man kann sich auf die Stockwerke verteilen, findet immer irgendwo Platz zum Spielen oder kann sich in die Sauna zurückziehen. Vom Haus aus starten direkt tolle Wanderwege. Gut wäre die Check-Out Zeiten einheitlich zu halten, damit es nicht zu Irritationen kommt.

Schönes Haus in reizvoller Umgebung

Wir waren mit 2 Familien mit insgesamt 8 Personen über Himmelfahrt im Blauen Haus. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt das Haus etwas klein für so viele Leute, aber innen ist es ein echtes Raumwunder. Die Wohnküche ist groß genug und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Im EG befinden sich zusätzlich 2 Schlafräume und ein Bad. Die übrigen Schlafzimmer und Bad Nr. 2 sind im ersten Stock. So ließ sich das Haus gut unter den Familien den aufteilen. Das OG und der Dachboden mit Sauna sind sehr geräumig. Hier hat man viel Platz zum Sitzen, Quatschen, Spielen... Im Hof haben wir gemütlich gegrillt und uns nett mit den Nachbarn unterhalten. Die schöne Gegend lädt zu Ausflügen ein. Im Ort selbst findet man genügend Gelegenheiten um Essen zu gehen. Für unser verlängertes Wochenende war es hier genau richtig.

Sehr angenehmes schönes Haus, nur den whirlpool haben wir vergeblich gesucht. Restaurants und Winzer in der Vorsaison geschlossen und nur sehr begrenztes Lebensmittelangebot. Schwierige Nachbarschaft.

Why they chose this property

Tim first visited Germany in 1985, at the time of Live Aid, and has been back many times since. We had been looking to buy a holiday home for many years and were attracted by the warm and friendly welcome, the excellent English language skills of the locals, (as at that point our German was not very good). We first saw the house at the weekend of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Marnie and our 3 children had decided that this was the house before Tim had even gone through the front door.

We and all our visitors have been made very welcome and enjoy taking part in all the activities the village has to offer. Living in the countryside it is a joy for us to be able to walk to the shops ,bars and restaurants. The house is on a quiet street with no passing traffic and is a safe place for the children to play

What makes this property unique

Our home had been renovated immediately prior to us buying it and is a warm, friendly home. It is big and modern with lots of room for families to stretch out and enjoy, there are big windows and some super period features.
Enkirch is easy to get to, only 4½ hours drive from Dunkirk, and Frankfurt-Haan airport, 20 minutes drive away has flights to Dublin, Edinburgh and Stansted
