About this property

BEACH FRONT ESTATE SANDY BEACH w/Heated Saline Pool/SPA & 360 Degree Views

30 Day Minimum Stay Required

Share the romance and beauty of the North Shore with your entire family!

Swing open the gate to our Sandy Beach, sink your toes into the white sand and say “Aloha” to the turtles who come to our beach each afternoon, or meet the local fishermen who cast their rods and talk story as the sun gently paints the sky a million shades of pink and orange as it slowly sinks into the ocean--another day in paradise ends with the ever present ebb and flow of the tide.

This quiet, secluded, gated BEACH FRONT estate is ON THE WATER and perfect for intimate family vacations, family reunions and small private weddings.

Completely removed from the congested North Shore traffic, living is easy on this quarter acre lot with 90 feet of ocean front and plenty of water activities underway along the beach: kayaking, surfing, standup paddling, snorkeling, swimming and sand castle construction. When the conditions are right the local fishermen show up--and are happy to talk story. If you are seeking a true Hawaiian experience, then this is the spot!

The property was named Hale Hono (Home of Turtle) because the Hawaiian green sea turtles come just about every day, and sometimes nap on the beach. Remember they are an endangered species--please keep a 10’ distance when taking photographs.

The tranquil sound of waves and trades can be heard from every room and will lull you into a restful night’s sleep in your true Hawai’i oasis. Life doesn’t get much better. Please read our unsolicited Guest Comments and see for yourself. Our guests never want to leave this property as guest comfort is our #1 focus. Let us know what we can do to help make your dreams come true.

Other Amenities: Completely remodeled in casual elegance with high end materials, furnishings and art. This property offers upgraded appliances: Wolf Gas Stove SubZero, Fisher & Paykel. Also included: FREE Wi-Fi & DISH Satellite plus DISH Hopper DVRs and 6 Samsung HD LED TVs. There is also a gas BBQ.

Note from owner Pat: Oceanside mossrock pool w/deep blue ceramic tile was recently heated (passive solar system ). This is a saline system so the water is very soft and luxurious and completely void of harsh swimming pool chemicals. You will love the sunsets from the back yard and the pool, along with the feel of the water after a day of exploring the North Shore.

Hawaii on the ocean! Doesn't get better!

First, I must say that Pat is a wonderful lady. She made us feel very comfortable and she explained everything we needed to know. The house is really great! Our favorite part was having coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Our kids surfed right out the back door. The location is very close to great shops and restaurants. We will be back!

Magnificent view, quiet neighbors, lovely house

I stayed here in July with my BFF and her two kids, and it was perfect. Peaceful ocean views and breezes for the grownups, every possible combination of water fun for the kids. The saline pool was a lifesaver for when the tide was high or when we just didn't feel like getting sand in awkward places. The portion of the beach right in front of the house has a rocky area that's great for snorkeling, and a few dozen feet to the left or right are areas of sandy shallows that are good for swimming. There's no neighboring house on one side, which made for peaceful private soaks in the hot tub, and the neighbors on the other side were friendly. Saw no jellyfish or sharks, but plenty of turtles! 10/10 would rent again.

Truly a paradise! One of the best on the island!

When we decided to take our two older kids (15 and 20) to Oahu for a bucket list trip, I spent a lot of time pouring over the rental options at VRBO and AirBnB. After our initial place fell through on AirBnB (they sold their place and gave us only a little over a month's notice to find a new place! Beware!) we discovered this gem, and after we stayed there we are SO THANKFUL that the other place fell through and we stayed here! It was far superior to the originally booked place and the other places we had considered. 1) The location was so much better. Instead of being on a high traffic road, this house is located in Waialua which is a few minutes from Haleʻiwa, on the North Shore, so it was a very quiet residential area with direct access to the beach, no crossing a busy highway to get there! But it's also nearby grocery stores and restaurants, so it was really convenient as a home base. 2) It boasts a hot tub and pool, which was great in the early mornings and at the end of the day after a day swimming at the beach or sight-seeing! 3) The balcony overlooking the beach is fantastic! Every day a fabulous sunrise and sunset to watch, not to mention the sounds and breeze from the ocean at all times! 4) The home was decorated beautifully and was outfitted with a great kitchen, comfortable beds and updated appliances. We really felt at home here. 5) And above all the host, Pat, was fantastic! I firmly believe that a good rental experience comes mainly from a great host. Pat communicated with us so well before our trip and during our stay. She answered all of our questions, gave us great suggestions for restaurants and sight-seeing and went out of her way to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. You can tell she puts a lot of energy into making sure the property is well cared for and maintained. Thanks, Pat! We hope to come back again!!

Great Ocean Front Property

We absolutely enjoyed our stay on the North Shore of Oahu. Pat was very responsive to our needs, starting with the booking process through the checking out process. This is a sweet little 3 bedroom vacation rental stocked well with all of the basic necessities and a beautiful view of the ocean (perfect size for my family of 4 + grandparents). Her rental home sits right on the beach (this beach is protect by a reef, very swimmable for all ages even with a HUGE swell, FULL of sea turtles) and is a short drive to the cute little town of Haleiwa. The pool was plenty warm and it was nice to have the hot tub as well. Lots of family activities to do in Haleiwa (SUP, surf lessons, shark driving etc). Also, about a 20 minute drive up to Waimea Bay / Pipeline. Highly recommend this place - sweet home right on a beautiful sandy beach in a great location with wonderful owners!

Awesome location to see sunrise & sunset

This property was much better than expected. When we arrived we were greeted by Pat and she let us know everything we needed to know about the house, places in the area & what we would be interested in doing on the island. The views from the balcony & yard are breathtaking. The kitchen (plenty of spices, pots & pans) & outdoor grill were perfect for us to do our cooking at home (Yes this property will make you feel at home). The local market was not too far away & had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The beach right in front the property was very quiet with hardly any "public" traffic. Spent some time out in the ocean snorkeling and saw lots of sea life. Sleeping at night with the windows open you can hear the soothing ocean. Sitting on the balcony at night you can see millions of stars while listening to the ocean. We were so happy we decided to stay here instead of a standard hotel. We wish we could have stayed longer & will definitely stay here again if we get a chance to return. I would like to thank Pat for all her help before, during & after our visit to our 49th state visited, Hawaii. Next stop Alaska.

Peaceful Paradise

I love the north shore of Oahu. It’s a magical place. This house is a beautiful oasis on this side of the island. I wish I could go back right now. Pat is a gracious host, very kind, accommodating and attentive. The house is right on the beach. The house is spotless, including the kitchen dishes, pots and pans which, if you’ve stayed in rentals before you know that is hardly ever the case. When we first arrived we dropped our luggage in the bedrooms and immediately went to the beach-just out back. There were sea turtles waiting to greet us upon our arrival. The grocery store and other provisions are a quick ten minute drive into town. This was a fantastic vacation. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Perfect North Shore Hideaway

We spent a week at Pat’s brilliant, private beachfront home. The home is lovely, the pool is perfect, the spa is relaxing but the views and the beach are what makes this house paradise. Pat, the owner, is as wonderful as the views. Stay here it’s a perfect slice of the North Shore.

We settled right in!

We settled right in to Pat's gorgeous, clean, private beachfront home and had a wonderful family vacation. Cool breezes, the sounds of the waves, beautiful kitchen, saltwater pool, inviting hot tub, the outdoor shower (!), excellent neighborhood location near attractions but away from crowds and traffic … it was everything our family needed and more. Pat was a lively, responsive host and strong communicator. Thank you for a great week!

Beautiful oasis

We had a wonderful time in Waialua over a ten day stay. The yard with pool and hot tub is great for kids and adults, and the ocean is a few steps away. The waves were big in March but the beachfront at Waialua was still calm for swimming and snorkeling. We spent a lot of time outside but the inside of the house was also lovely and very comfortable. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Lovely, comfortable house in great location

The house is very well situated on a great beach. The view from the main rooms and deck is magical. The pool and hot tub are nice additions, esp for kids for whom swimming in the ocean may be daunting. The bedrooms and bathrooms are updated and perfect for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is a real cook's kitchen. The town of Haliewa is a short drive from the house and has several restaurants and shops worth checking out.

We loved everything about this place!

We just spent a perfect week on the beach in this wonderful rental and beautiful location. We had everything we needed there in the home and loved being able to walk right out the gate to the beach for kayaking, snorkeling, walking, or just enjoying the view. We also loved being so close to Haleiwa and all the great shops and restaurants/food trucks that are available there. Pat was always quick to respond and very helpful with ideas and suggestions of things to do and places to eat while we were there. It was an amazing vacation and we look forward to returning again in the (hopefully near :) future!

Perfect spot for a relaxing vacation for couples or the whole family!!

We took my parents on this trip for their 50th wedding anniversary gift! This home created the most wonderful memories, watching my parents celebrate their love with walks on the beach and quiet moments watching the sunset! You are literally only steps away from the ocean and it feels more private than a typically Hawaiian beach! The pool is amazing, water is the perfect temperature day or night! The beautiful kitchen that opened up to the living space helped us cook and enjoy time together as a family! This home gave us so many unique experiences that we will all treasure for the rest of our lives!! We will be back!!

Great Property with fantastic beach front views

We stayed at this beautiful property during Spring break. Two families with two 8 year old boys. The adults had a wonderful, relaxing time while the kids had a fun time in the private pool and Jacuzzi. Great Kayaking and snorkeling right out in front of the property, (Kayaks and gear all provided.) The owner Pat was wonderful and was always available to help us with anything we needed. We loved the fact that the property was very close to our favorite town on the North Shore in Haleiwa. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the aloha Pat! :)

Ideal Hawaiian Getaway

Just loved this beautiful beach house. Not only is the natural setting spectacular but the house was ideal for the 6 of us. The home is full of light and the trade winds keep the house comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was amazing and I fell in love with all the beautiful artwork that is throughout the home - very tastefully decorated. We hadn't been in Hawaii for years so really didn't know the area very well. Needless to say we were delighted with our decision. We found Waialua's location made any place on the island very assessable and we loved the neighbouring little town of Haleiwa. There were lots of restaurants close by if we decided not to cook but the house made cooking at home pleasant with high-end appliances and a barbecue. With the ocean steps away from us and snorkelling gear and kayaks provided, we were able to see the sea turtles and tropical fish. The beach was quiet and peaceful with a few families or early morning fishing. Thank you Pat and you can count on seeing us again.!

Peace, tranquility and luxury in one beautiful home

We all have an idyllic vision of what Hawaii is, or should be. And for those of us fortunate enough to travel there on business or vacation, our accommodations have the ability to either enhance or deter from that vision. This "home" enhances that vision, for many of us, in spades. Set amidst a quiet neighborhood, directly on the beach, there is very little you could go wanting for by staying here, except for crowds. If you crave hundreds or thousands of people you are likely to be quite disappointed. However, if you crave serenity with a 180 degree view of the Pacific, along with the ability to put your toes in the sand within roughly 50 paces, then you may well be "home". This home is outfitted with a fabulous kitchen with high end appliances, accessible living areas, peaceful sleeping quarters that take advantage of the wonderful trade winds and the most drop dead outdoor shower on the planet! This is a perfect resting spot from which to plan your next day's adventure, to recover from the day's activities or simply sit and watch the ocean, pondering the aloha with which the owner has so graciously bestowed upon you since greeting you at the beginning of your stay. Suffice it to say that my stay was enhanced by the home and the owners. Enough so that i find myself wishing to plan my next Oahu/North Shore getaway and do so around the availability of this home. Mahalo to the owners for their gracious hospitality, and for taking care of such a beautiful property that truly added to the mystique of our Hawaiian holiday. We shall return!

Great location on North Shore

Owner Pat met us on site for a late night arrival. Extremely pleasant and informative at our briefing the first morning. She made us feel very welcome. The Home and location provided everything you could possibly want or need in a vacation rental. We traveled with another couple, there was plenty of room and great private access to the beach The outdoor shower was a pleasant surprise and definitely a must for future vacation. Would we return again. DEFINITELY YES

Amazing home!

I stayed with my friend for 7 days from NZ to celebrate her 50th birthday and couldn't have stayed at a better place! Pat is lovely with lots of great info and tips on the island. The property itself is immaculately maintained with all you could ever need we didn't want to leave! Highlight for me was sitting out on the deck enjoying the trade winds while watching turtles feeding on the reef - pure magic! Nearby Haliewa is a beautiful haven of places to explore for souvenirs and loved going for a meal at Haliewa Joe's after being recommended by Pat. I will definitely be coming back to stay again that's for sure! If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay away from the craziness of Waikiki then this is it for sure.

Host profile image
Aloha All, I am a retired Intel International IT Program Manager. I have lived in the islands since 1988. I have always loved the ocean and feel there is no better place on earth than the North Shore.

Why they chose this property

I split my time between my homes at Diamond Head and the North Shore. The North Shore is my 'country' home. I wanted to a place that was tranquil, private and secluded with lots of natural beauty and sea life. Because I am not there all the time, I thought it would be nice to offer my slice of paradise with those who hear the call of the ocean.

What makes this property unique

Oceanfront, heated saline pool, Hot Springs Spa, secluded, tranquil, roomy, fully renovated, high end, tiff lawn, turtles, North Shore without the horrible traffic hassles, Haleiwa is 10 minutes away for dining if you don't want to cook or BBQ.
