Beautiful Home on 1/2 acre Property with own private driveway. Large manicured Lawn faces Swimming Lagoon directly in front of Property. Year round sunsets can be enjoyed from the Deck and yard. Old style barbecue with picnic tables is located right next to the beach. Giant Ironwood trees give shaded relief from the warm beach just steps away.

The Owners have had the property for 45 years; building this house 12 years ago. The pride of owning such a jewel is reflected in the excellent condition of the home and property.

Had a fantastic stay at Kawela Kai on the beach! The view and access to the ocean was amazing. We had turtles right next to us while swimming! House had everything that we needed and then some! If you are looking for a comfortable home to rest your head between activities, this is the place for you.

Awesome Family Experience

We had an amazing time staying at this property. Mark and (Snoopy) were incredible hosts and gave us lots of helpful information and ideas about the island. Our 3 teenage daughters had a great time here as well.

A Perfect Stay

We loved our week at Kawela Kai. The location has to be seen to be believed. Absolutely incredible. The house has everything you need for a family and the kitchen is well equipped. Mark was an amazing host and we really enjoyed talking with him and learning about the history of the area and his adventures. We can't wait to come back.

Quaint Beach Bungalow

Quaint bungalow right on the beach. Excellent location! Although it was big wave season (February), we were able to plunge directly in front of the property, and Kawela Bay was a 10 min walk away for swimming and hiking. A short drive to the big wave surfing beaches. Amazing sunsets and whale sightings right from the lanai. Communication was great. Mark and Snoopy were wonderful hosts!

Always a Great Stay!

This was my family’s second visit to Mark’s house on the North Shore of Oahu. Wonderful house with a huge lanai overlooking beach and ocean. Just a few steps from house down to a very private, secluded beach. House is clean and comfortable. Mark (and constant companion dog Snoopy) were there to welcome us when we arrived and checked in with us daily to see if we had any needs. We had a wonderful 10 day vacation amongst the best surfing beaches in the world. Best vacation rental in Hawaii I have ever stayed in and we hope to be back next year!

Absolute Paradise!!!

The property was absolutely wonderful. The beach is literally steps from the house!!! The sunsets are breathtaking!! Mark and his side kick Snoopy took excellent care of us. Sleeping with the windows open and the breeze flowing through….I miss that!!

Loved it!

We loved the house and location on the north shore! So relaxing watching the tea turtles feed and play every day right in front of the house in the protected area. Snorkeling there was beautiful when conditions allow. Watched some of the most beautiful and vivid rainbows and sunsets we’ve ever seen. Mark and his wife were great and accessible hosts. And of course we loved Snoopy!

Simply amazing!

My daughter and I stayed here and loved it so much that we are returning for a longer length of time in 2025. Stunning location, quiet, peaceful, lovely house with a beautiful lanai right on the ocean. Impeccably clean. Mark and Snoopy were incredible hosts! Surpassed our expectations.

Heaven with a beachfront

We loved our stay here. Mark was great and snoopy the dog was an added bonus! The house has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. I have never slept better listening to the waves from my bed. The beach was amazing and we loved walking before the sun came up watching the ghost crabs run. We will be back!

Perfect House and Beaufiful View

Mark is absolutely the best host! (And Snoopy). The house was simply perfect for my family. It was nice to return to a quiet place after running around the island. To hear the waves all night was so peaceful. Mark fave us so ma t recommendations and made us feel right at home. I’ve shared the listing with all my friends to come visit Hawaii! We will return! A++++++

North Shore slice of paradise

We have had many beach vacations over the last 15-20 years and this one was without question the finest. The beach is maybe 30 yards from your front porch and the view is nicer than the pictures. The long driveway to the house eliminates any road noise from the highway.....very tranquil! This location is very central to all the North Shore has to offer so please explore. Mark and Nancy, incredible hosts, will be glad to make suggestions......ask, don`t be shy. Not to be left out is Snoopy who is quite possibly the friendliest dog I`ve ever come across. If you are looking for a relaxing time it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find a better spot.

Overall impression was jaw-dropping! The pictures do not do it justice! It's much bigger and spacious in person, even with six adults and a one-year-old. The rooms were clean and accommodating, with large fans. The place felt so peaceful and private.The main selling point was having a beach literally in your backyard, which made it hard to get out and see the rest of the island. Sitting out under the sun and the ocean breeze was truly a slice of heavenly paradise! Ted’s Bakery, the grocery store, and restaurants/food trucks are only a 15-minute drive away!We're lucky to see some sea turtles pop up in our backyard, and if you want to get a closer look at the reef, there are some nice snorkeling gear included! Mark and his dog, Snoopy, were incredibly warm, welcoming, kind, and friendly! We enjoyed their hospitality during our stay.

Great bungalow on the beach!

Beautiful location on the beach. Plenty of room inside and out. Mark and Nancy were outstanding hosts! Great recommendations for lunch and dinner. We ate at the house for our breakfasts. The beach is quiet and right off the property. The private drive is tucked away but very easy to get in and out of. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Amazing stay

Terrific house, hosts, and location. House was bigger than thought, right on an almost private beach, and with all necessary amenities. Mark, Nancy, and Snoopy were phenomenal hosts: very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable without ever being intrusive. Location was great for exploring the north shore and being away from touristy Honolulu, while still close enough to everything for an easy drive, even in Honolulu. Of all the places we’ve stayed, our favorite house, hosts, and location. Too much to recommend on a trip here so I just suggest experience it for yourself. Thanks for a tremendous family vacation we will always remember. Mahalo

Wonderful location

Very comfortable home in a beautiful spot right on the ocean. The house was comfortable and clean. It was not huge, but comfortable for 6 adults. One of the bedrooms had a curtain divider for one of the walls, but it was not a problem for our group. The room was still private enough. The lanai was peaceful and private with great views, and our new little friend, Snoopy, greeted us there every morning.
