This is a breathtaking property owned by a lovely family. The property was spotless and is everything you need for a secluded holiday. It’s a short 20 minute drive to lots of different villages and Europe's biggest aquarium!

Pierre was very helpful to us and made us very welcome .

It was just what we wanted a very guiet area, but only 10 mins from supermarkets and restaurants by car. The property was very rustic with lovely gardens and pool area.

Great place

Great place and Pierre was really welcoming and helpful, even left us some home grown courgettes at the back door. The kids loved the pool and spent most of the week in there. The area is very quiet and we had to drive to places everyday but we had a really lovely time!

1 Woche Erholung

Unser Aufenthalt bei Pierre war sehr schön. Er war ein aufmerksamer und freundlicher Gastgeber, dar uns auch mit Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung oder für nette Restaurants versorgt hat. Das Haus selber war typisch für ein älteres französisches Objekt. Die Ausstattung war ausreichend und es fehlte im Grunde an nichts. Die Betten waren frisch bezogen und sauber. Das Highlight der Unterkunft war natürlich der Pool, der im Grunde immer zur Verfügung stand. Alles in allem können wir das Objekt und den Gastgeber Pierre wärmstens empfehlen.

Nous avons été accueillis par Pierre qui nous a fait visiter le logement et donné tous les bons conseils pour passer un bon séjour! Le logement est agréable pour 4 adultes et 3 enfants. La piscine est superbe et un réel atout entre 2 visites de la région ! A conseiller sans hésitation! Merci aussi à notre hôte pour sa flexibilité et gentillesse

Gezellig in het groen

Gezellige gite met alle comfort omringd door veel groen. Pierre is een hele fijne gastheer. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes en wandelingen aan het strand of in de duinen te maken. Dunes de slack een echte aanrader als wandeling.

Wunderschönes Haus in der Nähe der großartigen Opalküste

Wir haben zu acht (2 Familien mit zusammen 4 Kindern) für eine Woche dieses schöne historische Haus bewohnt und die Zeit sehr genossen. Pierre und seine Frau sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A week in Wacquinghen

We had a lovely time . The area is beautifull. The house is super nice. The pool and the gardan are great. And Pierre is an incredeble host. We shall return!

Mooie woning erg teleurstellend

Helaas erg teleurstellend. 2 dagen bij aankomst geen warm water ivm kapotte boiler. Vervolgens hele slechte bedden op kinderkamer en dvd speler kapot. Ook bleek bij aankomst dat we maar 1 uur per dag gebruik mochten maken van het zwembad, erg lastig met 4 kinderen die staan te springen om te mogen zwemmen met warm weer

Nous pensons avoir répondu très rapidement au problème d'eau chaude en trouvant un plombier le dimanche matin, qui a résolu le problème le lundi à la première heure.Nous avons proposé aux grands parents d'un certain age de venir prendre une douche chez nous et non au camping. Il aurait été plus simple de nous prévenir dès la réservation de l'age des grands parents et nous n'aurions pas accepté cette réservation. Par ailleurs,il nous a fallu réclamer le solde et la garantie à leur arrivée. Concernant la piscine, il est bien précisé que les horaires sont partagés avec la famille, et nous avons accepté la présence des enfants bien plus que de coutume pour leur étre agréable. Enfin un litige subsiste sur 3 draps de bain non rendus mais nous leur en tenons pas grief.

Lovely Cottage

We have just arrived back from a 3 night stay at this charming French cottage located on the grounds of a larger house where the owners live. The gardens are beautiful and you have use of a private heated pool (a big hit with the kids). Privacy is not an issue. Pierre is a perfect host: friendly, knowledgeable about the area and generous - he gave us a cold bottle of Champagne on arrival (thanks Pierre - délicieux)! The cottage is well equipped, nicely furnished, sleeps 9 comfortably, and the fireplace provides the perfect ambience for cold evenings. The location is ideal; not far from Calais and a short drive to Boulogne, Wimereux or Le Touquet. Plenty to see & do - farmers markets, aquarium, beaches, shopping, golf, horse riding etc.. The pictures on this site do not do the property justice - it is stunning! I highly recommend this cottage for a long weekend break (or longer). Craig
