Peaceful property.
Interesting hosts who care about their tenants and property.
Relaxing seating right on the Canal. Schedule a kayaking or boat tour ahead of time with the host.
i managed to get poison ivy but that’s normal for me and i travel prepared. It was colder than expected but tent heater kept us toasty.
Awesome spot. Pics and descriptions don’t do this place justice!!!!
Man oh man! This was way more than we had hoped for. John and Paula are awesome!!!! It was awesome camping and not having to set up a tent....hence glamping but with fridge, microwave, and grills, you want or need for nothing. So much closer to the water than we thought. And the canal was some of the cleanest water I have seen in small waterways in upstate NY! You could see everything in the water. The tent was next to a pond full of frogs if you love them. We do. And the pics of the bathroom didn’t do it justice either. Cutest little bathroom! Thank you John and Paula for your hospitality and kindness! Can’t wait to see you again!!!!!
Cool rustic feel. Down to earth. Community vibe was great. Neighbors were friendly and enjoyed meeting us. The other options at the location look great.
An haven for outdoors people, beer and wine drinkers, and those looking to take in FLX beauty
We loved our stay in this glamping spot. What you see is what you get - a tent with all of the essentials (except WiFi which did not apparently reach the tent).
Cell service (Verizon) was a total nightmare so made communications difficult. In addition, the listing says “private bathroom” but I think it should be more specific. It’s private when you’re inside of it, but our neighbors and their company had access to the bathroom despite having a trailer of their own to stay in. That was quite a bit jarring, including that one of our neighbor’s wife took our bathroom supplies thinking they were her own. Awkward...
The tent is not bug proof so wear long pants and shirt to bed to avoid being eaten alive.
Best parts: The water and proximity to fun things to do. Great time fishing and kayaking and touring nearby cities. Niagara Falls is only 3 hours away too which we took advantage of.
Cons: our neighbors were quite oblivious (giving them the benefit of the doubt here). The bathroom situations, loud and frequent cursing, and they had company a few times who we had to compete with for amenities like kayaks and paddle boats. They also left their kayaks blocking the launch ramp and didn’t bat an eye or apologize when I had to drag their boat out of my way. But all of the above is not a problem with the property; people like that are everywhere.
I would totally book this again, it was such a great trip and Paula is a great host. Bring bug spray!! I’ll say it again bring bug spray!! And maybe ear plugs cause those really helped us too :)
Great place to stay. Hosts are very friendly and easy going. Lots of thing to do right on camp site but aslo close by is great food, the finger lakes , ice cream and a State park. Great for Adults and kids.
* Paula was very communicative and accommodating to any needs or requests
* John and Paula were super friendly and shared fun stories
* You are able to use any items on site, kayaks, paddle boats, camp fires, etc.
* Many delightful wood carvings added charm
* The bathroom was great; very good shower pressure
* Loved the frog pond
* The mattress was very comfortable
* Lots of outlets for electric devices
* Excellent location in the Finger Lakes
* Canal is lovely
* A great rail-trail close by which connects Waterloo to Geneva
* Lots of tourist attractions, trails, historic sites, water, etc.
* You’re glamping by water. Expect bugs and mosquitos. Come prepared
* The paths to and from the tent and bathroom was very well designated. Stay on the path as there is a significant amount of poison ivy just off the paths
* If you’re looking for a fancy glamp, this isn’t it. If you’re used to tent camping, you’ll be in heaven. The glamp had everything you need ... frig/freezer, toaster, coffeemaker, electric cook stove, utensils, etc.
* Lots of areas to sit and relax
* The screened in porch is lovely, but no longer zips fully
* The WiFi is a USB that needs to be plugged into a PC and is located in a narrow ~ 18” space between the bed and tent wall. There is WiFi by the canal and by the main entrance
* The site is close to a well travelled road. Expect to hear cars, motorcycles, trains, etc. But also expect to hear wonderful nature sounds - birds, frogs, etc.
* The ‘A/C’ was a small personal fan (not needed during my stay).
* Other renters on the site were friendly and nice to interact with
* Felt ‘safe’ in light of COVID
Overall, it absolutely met my needs and what I was looking for.
Amazing get away. They had everything for you there. Besides food and sheets. Makes complete since. I wasn't expecting them to have charcoal, lighter fluid, fishing poles, kayaks... so on for free use. It was over all an amazing fun quite time. We will be back. Thank you so much.
We were met by mr and mrs Kenney and they were very warm and inviting. They showed us around the property and amenities. Very nice folks, real people great setting. Defiantly recommend for outdoorsy types. Wish there were more like this. Definitely worth it and more.
My boyfriend and I had an INCREDIBLE stay at the glamping tent in the woods! Everything exceeded our expectations. While this tent shares land with other rental properties of Paula and John, it is still very private. We had the privacy of the tent, our own private outdoor area with fire pit and charcoal grill, and a private bathhouse literally 20 steps from the tent. Bonus: the tent is adjacent to a beautiful frog pond—we enjoyed walking around the pond and each morning and catching (and releasing) the frogs. :)
The rental property is also very close to many wineries and breweries in the area. And if you forget to pack anything, fear not! Glamping tent is conveniently located between two supermarkets with a gas station right across the street!
Paula and John are the perfect hosts! They take very good care of their property and thoroughly enjoy getting to know their guests (and vice versa). Time spent around the fire with them was a highlight of our weekend. We will definitely be back!!!
Thank you, Paula and John for a lovely weekend!!
We had a great time. Everything was comfortable. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking and canoeing on the canal. The use of kayaks, canoes, and firewood was all included, as promised. Traffic noise a bit loud early in evening and morning but still enjoyed being in the forest by the canal. Location is convenient to explore the Finger Lakes.
Love the canal, thank you for the boat tour!!!! The wildlife on the canal is incredible! Loved hiking to Seneca Lake! Thank you for everything Paula and John!!! We will be back!
Didn't know what to expect when we were told there was an issue before we left, but Paula and John went over and above to make our experience very memorable, and we look forward to spending more time with them in the future.

Wonderful getaway in nature with all the comfort
We had an amazing weekend at the glamping tent. It's very cozy, it has everything you need to have your full comfort, while enjoying being out in nature sitting by the camp fire in the evenings listening to the frogs in the pond. It felt like a vacation, where you can completely unwind. The tent also comes with access to kayak that launches on site on the connecting canal. Paula and John made us feel like family from the start and checked on us to make sure we enjoyed our stay. John told us a lot about local history, so make sure you ask him about it and tour the historic sites. We can't wait to come back and stay with you at the glamping tent again! Thank you Paula and John for a lovely, memorable weekend!

Glamping at its finest!
My husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary with a glamping camping trip. We were treated like family, access to fishing supplies, kayaks, and even a small 2 stroke engine boat. They have a variety of different spots available including 2 houseboats, a yurt, a camper, and a house. The crystal clear canal was amazing to take a dip in to cool off (the weekend we went it was 90. We will be coming back next year with our family and make this a yearly tradition. Thank you again for your hospitality we appreciate you!

Cozy, unique experience
This was our first time Glamping and our first time meeting John and Paula.
We enjoyed our 'soft-sided' hotel suite for the weekend. The rain overnight was perfect on the tent top for a lullaby. Paula and John are such nice people, checking in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed.
It made for a fun and enjoyable last minute getaway for us.
Thank you so much!
