Daufuskie Sunrise Cottage features direct ocean and beach views, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the serene coastal atmosphere. With a screened ocean-facing back porch, you can enjoy the gentle sea breeze while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The property is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a relaxing stay.

1) Daufuskie Rental Group makes a good faith effort to describe island amenities, including restaurants and pools. However, please note that we are not responsible for the availability of amenities that we do not operate and that are beyond our control. Please contact the vendors directly for rates, days and hours of operation.

2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These must be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)

3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be extremely popular.

Getting Around:
IMPORTANT: IT IS NECESSARY TO TAKE A FERRY TO DAUFUSKIE, SO EXTRA FEES WILL APPLY. ALSO GROUND TRANSPORTATION FROM THE DOCK TO THE RENTAL AND GOLF CART RENTAL WILL NEED BOOKED AS WELL. WE WILL HELP PROVIDE CONTACTS SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE THOSE ARRANGEMENTS.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that it is necessary to take a boat to Daufuskie Island. Costs vary depending on the service you choose, but on average you should plan on about $75-$85 per person roundtrip for both boat & ground transportation. (Marina parking fees may also apply.)
