You will not find a home on the entire lake (and it’s a huge lake) that can offer you more than our place.
Why? A few reasons.
Location, Location, Location! The National Park Service owns all of the property from the waterfront to the 1310’ elevation line. Our property starts at 1310’ and 1/8th inch! You can’t get any closer to the water than us! As the pictures show, the property offers a breathtaking view of the lake at all times of the day. You won’t believe what kind of sunsets can happen here. The proximity also benefits beach access. Within the whole community, there’s only one trail taking you down to the beach. Our property is one of the closest ones! The trail leads to a small bay that has a wonderful sandy beach protected from wind and can serve as a great spot to moor your boat if you plan on bringing one. Bring a couple beach chairs and a cooler and have yourself a day!
What’s Outside: The entrance side of the house offers a well-maintained lawn and covered patio if you’re looking to enjoy the evening air while gaining respite from the sun. It is equipped with patio furniture and a barbecue—the perfect setup for summer night cookouts.
If you’re in the mood to watch a sunset, deck wraps around from the back of the house to the river-facing side. Relax and unwind from your day in the sun by watching it tuck itself away behind the mountains in a picturesque display of natural beauty.
What’s Upstairs: We have recently renovated our living spaces to match the beauty and feel of the surrounding area. With new floors and fresh paint on the walls, this is our favorite place to hang out. There are windows on all sides and a gorgeous butcher block table big enough for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen is fully stocked and should provide you with everything you need for your stay. The deck is BRAND NEW, huge, and is my favorite place to have coffee in the morning.
What’s Downstairs: A bonus room—ACCESSIBLE ONLY VIA A SLIDING DOOR ON THE RIVER SIDE OF THE HOUSE (all caps because some people miss that detail and get upset). If you’re looking for a fun and comfortable spot for the group to hang out indoors, this is the place for you! It has several couches and a TV. We have it hooked up to an Apple TV—a device that allows you to log in and access several online streaming services. It is HDMI compatible if you would like to bring your own device. When the pandemic hit, we set up a beautiful corner office down here as well. There is an "L" shaped desk, office chair, and spare monitor.
Guest access
The entire upstairs is open and available for your enjoyment. There is a TV room located downstairs and can be accessed through a sliding door on the water side of the house. The garage and remainder of the basement are set aside for storage and are unavailable for guest use at this time.
Interaction with guests
There is a keyless lock on the front door which can be opened by the customized code we will send you -- typically it is the last four digits of the cell phone number for the primary account holder of the reservation.

This home was perfect for our vacation week. Close to seven bays marina where we would launch our boat in the morning and take out in the late afternoon after spending the day on a secluded beach. We used to beach camp and this was a much more comfortable situation. Every kitchen appliance you can imagine including a Traeger grill. Wonderful view of the lake from the house and huge deck.
Our group really enjoyed the ample space for our group of 11. All the queen bunks downstairs along with the rooms upstairs had everyone sleeping comfortably. Great place!!

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
When we got there the code did not work for the front door. It took a few hours before the owner got back to us. Fortunately, one of the other doors was unlocked. There were a few electrical issues to be looked at. One of the fixtures in the kitchen was out. Almost all of the other light fixtures needed more bulbs. There is a missing plate on the refrigerator outlet. The dishwasher is not connected to the cabinet and so it fell out whenever we pulled the drawer out. The living room, bathroom, bedrooms and downstairs were good. The downstairs door needs to be replaced because you can't leave the house and have it locked. We ran out of garbage bags and toilet paper, but the caretaker came with more of these. I don't think that they were ready for us, most likely being the first group to rent it this year.Overall, the owner needs to get more of his projects done before he lists it again. The other family in our group stayed at a much newer home and this house is being rented at too high of a price point for it's current condition.
There was lots of room for the whole family. Fully equipped. Fantastic view of the lake and so close to the beach and cove at 7bays. We loved it and will be back.
This is hands down the best place the crew and I have stayed in while working out town. Clean, comfortable and quiet! The home is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The large kitchen table was the center piece for great conversation and enjoying amazing views of the water. Front row and center on the water makes this a quiet and peaceful place to relax and take in all that Seven Bays has to offer. The owners were quick to respond to extending our stay when we needed a few more days. 5 stars all the way across the board! We will be back, thank you!!
We had a wonderful week on the lake with our family. The view is exceptional and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
Cody is a gracious and accommodating. He responded immediately when we locked ourselves out.
Thank you so much!
Cody is a gracious host. We really enjoyed our stay here. Close access to the beach. Large area to spend time with family. The pictures have not been updated recently and the place showed even better then the pictures after Cody completed some house upgrades....pleasant surprise. This house has everything you need to enjoy lake life. I hope to book this house again next year! Thanks Cody!

One of the best guests we’ve ever had. Excellent communicator, left the place immaculate, and even did a few loads of laundry before checkout.
A homeowners dream!
Hi Amber!
We totally agree!! A three bed, two bath is workable for most families but having one more to even that out would definitely ne ideal. It’s on the three year plan so check back often.
We hope to host you and your group again soon! Also my sources tell me you and your group caught about a million fish!! So happy!!

Liked: Communication, location
good location, not a great layout.
The layout is choppy, not well stocked ( no trashcan in basement, no extra trash bags). I certainly would not pack 20 people in that house as listing allows! Place is a little run down, esp the deck. The cleaning fee is rather steep IMO. The fridge was filthy when I arrived. The location was great. I go to Seven Bays a lot. Good communication with caretaker so that was a plus :)
Loved our time. The setting is beautiful and the home has all amendities you would ever want. Cody was awesome to work with. We definetly plan to come back!
Our second summer vacation at this home. Brought another family this year. Nice improvements this year! Location awesome, well stocked throughout, Table the BEST and easy to work with both years! We'll be back again!
This was our second time staying at the property. We all had a great time and made lots of memories. The traeger grill was a nice upgrade from last year. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Thanks so much Jill! We look forward to your name on the calendar every year.
Great location with all you need for a great time visiting Lake Roosevelt. Great boat parking and only minutes from 7 bays marina. Thanks for sharing your house with us!!
This property is in the perfect location if you're planning on boating out of the Seven Bays Marina. The sunsets are incredible and the oversized kitchen table is ideal for a large group whether it's for meals or game night. The Traeger BBQ grill is a great addition to the property. The hosts are very responsive and easy to work with.
Awesome location with beautiful views! House was very clean and the owners were a pleasure to work with.

About the host
Hosted by Cody Hopkins
Born and raised in Davenport, Washington, I've spent my entire life on this lake. It's where I lost my first tooth, had my first beer, learned a lot about livin' and a little bout love. After graduating from Washington State University, I commissioned into the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant to fly helicopters. As much as I love the work I do, it takes me all over the world away from my favorite place on earth. So in the meantime, I'll share this place with any and all lucky enough to discover Washington's best-kept secret-- Lake Roosevelt.
Why they chose this property
Why this property? Where do I begin?
I can't think of a single reason why you wouldn't pick this place. At first, I thought maybe I just had a strong emotional bias. Maybe because I put in the new vinyl flooring with my dad, or because the table in the kitchen took several people, more beers, and power tools to move. To me, this place is so much more than brick and mortar.
But then I woke up one morning and looked out the window and decided, no. This place would be amazing for anyone. Lake Roosevelt is beautiful, spacious, and clean. The temperature is perfect for swimming. On its busiest day, it looks like what you would expect Lake Washington, Chelan, or any other one of those Westside lakes to look like on a typical weekday afternoon.
The lake is owned by the National Park Service on one side and the Native American Tribe on the other. There are no beach front mansions here. In fact, you can't even put up a birdhouse across their property lines. Lake Roosevelt was, is, and always will be the people's lake.
I'm thrilled to use my home to help spread the word. Tell your friends and your friend's friends. Welcome to the best place on earth.
