It's an easy 1.5 hour drive from Chicago and is centrally located in Southwest Michigan (15 minutes south of South Haven and 10 minutes north of St. Joseph and only 20 minutes to Saugatuk). In the heart of wine country with numerous micro breweries in the area as well. There are several outstanding wineries (Contessa Wine Cellar, Karma Vista Vineyard & Winery, Tabor Hill Winery) all within 10 miles of our villa (see map below). The villa is located directly on Lake Michigan, and the property offers you a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy the breathtaking white sandy beach. Have fun in the sun and sand, while enjoying amazing views, sunsets, great shopping, gourmet restaurants, wineries, golf and one of a kind antiquing, or just sit back, relax and grill out on your own private deck and patio.

Perfect getaway

Before the trip started and throughout, the hosts are really great and responsive. The condo is exactly at shown in VRBO, probably even better. Exceptionally clean. Decorated with an eclectic beach house vibe. A lot of thought went into the aesthetic. A few feet walk to a stunning outlook spot and access path to beach. Pool is spotless and an easy walk from the condo, but if you don’t feel like walking with your gear, jump on the golf cart. Massive wraparound patio with loads of seating. Best surprise? I imagined the condo building was one of many. No, it’s a standalone building off a gravel drive. Everything you need but it feels very much like you’ve gone off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

Don’t sleep on the Great Lakes or this property. Quiet, clean, perfect for a family of 4. We had a great time at this vacation house and would recommend it highly!

Wonderful stay

Easy check in, beautiful updates. Golf cart is a wonderful addition to this place! The outside area is so nice to enjoy time outside when back up at the condo. Beach is private and peaceful. Kiddos enjoyed picking up rocks and sea glass. This is our 2nd year staying and we will be back again next year!

Quiet location

We had a great time staying at this condo. The golf cart access to the beach was awesome and the beach was basically private with little to zero other people there. The pool was pretty quiet too. This location was so convenient to both St Joseph and South Haven as well. My family and I had a great time! Perfect for a family with little kids!

Peaceful Property

This property is a little bit of heaven on earth. From the relaxing wooded area around the condo, to the beautiful private beach down below. Our favorite place to get away. The condo was wonderful. Had everything we needed with 2 small children and Russ was great with answering any questions right away!

Summer vacation

3rd time staying at this condo. We stayed at a different one last year with friends. This is by far much nicer. New couch is nice and fits the living room. Golf cart is a must!

Location!

Wonderful beach location! The view from the condo bluff was breathtaking for sunsets, the private beach was exactly what my family of 6 was looking for! The condo it’s self was clean and good size. The beds we’re comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked. It had everything we needed, especially appreciated the washer and dryer and the golf cart which made getting to and from the beach a breeze! The pool was warm and bigger then the pictures! We are already hoping to come back next year!

Fantastic week away

We stayed at this location with expectations of having some good time away from Chicago on the beach. What we found was a fabulous set up with a condo which was more than enough space for our family and a short walk to a nearly private beach! The walk to the beach is steep but wasn't too bad; I managed to lug our stuff up and down from the beach a few times a day and my 3 y/o daughter was carried. We made use of a fire pit each night and roasted smores. We took one dinner in St. Joseph and one in South Haven as it is located very close to each. We will for sure be coming back.

Great Get-Away

This property was in a perfect location if you are looking for a private Get-Away feel. The beach was beautiful and easily accessible with the golf cart provided with the rental. The lake water was clear and fun to swim in, even with younger kids. The water was a bit chilly, but to be expected for this time of year. The only negative we experienced was that the pool was closed during our entire stay due to a maintenance issue. This was a huge disappointment to our kids, but we do realize it is not this property owners fault, but an HOA issue for not having notified the owners appropriately. We notified the owners and they responded immediately to us. Otherwise, the condo was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and spices, the living room was comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable. It was a great bonus to be able to use the laundry while there as well. This location is only 10-15 minutes from larger towns so there is plenty to do if you want, but the private beach feel is unmatched. It is truly a gem and we would 100% stay here again.

Nice house with some problems

Overall the unit itself is nicely furnished and comfortable. Unfortunately there were some problems. The washing machine wasn't working, and neither was the coffee maker or the grill. We called the owners to discuss this, and were told a repair person was coming to fix the washer (didn't happen while we were there) and that there was another coffee pot somewhere in the house. (If there was, we couldn't find it, and we looked everywhere.) Neither of these things are the fault of the owners, guests will wash too much sandy stuff in the washer and break things, but in other rental properties I've stayed in there was a local caretaker we could call to solve these kinds of issues. Here, we just had to live without the amenities we'd been promised for the week, and you might too. A second problem, the house is described as being "on the water". It's on a beautiful bluff overlooking the lake, and the path down to the beach (which is small, and during our stay full of sharp sticks) is long and VERY steep. Our two year old could just barely make it back up. In the end we only used it twice before we gave and started driving 20 minutes to South Beach in South Haven. You might want to take this into account if you have small children or anyone not in good shape in your party.

We love this beautiful place! Perfect place for families, we have 4 kids under 7. We walked the wooded property in the morning, spent the entire day on the beach (which we had ourselves), and watch the sunset as we walked the beach in the evening. We will be back!

This is an excellent lake experience. The condo is lovely with excellent amenities including a kitchen with everything you might need and lots of places to gather to eat and play games. The use of the golf cart is a serious plus. I would not want to have to haul all the beach gear up and down that walk on foot. The beach access is incredible. We never felt crowded or like we were struggling for privacy. Suggestions: bring a first aid kit and water shoes. Both teens ended up with pretty good cuts from things they encountered in the water. Water shoes would have been an excellent preventative and thankfully we had a first aid kit in the car.

Overall, it was a really good stay! We enjoyed how the beach was nearby. However, the path to the beach is not walkable, it’s a very steep hill downwards, and it was pretty scary at one point taking the kids down with the stroller so the golf cart is necessary. But the beach is amazing.! Very clean lake and clean beach! Inside the condo, It’s very humid and sticky inside, And the tub had pink mold stains on it other than that, it was decently clean.
