Montgomery Run cabin located in a secluded wooded area close to Clearfield, PA
This is a two story cabin nestled in a private wooded area next to a stream. The upstairs has two private bedrooms with full size beds and a newly remodeled bathroom. Renters must provide their own bed linens, blankets, pillows, towels and bathroom products. The cabin can sleep additional two people by using the futon in a downstairs entertainment room. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven and coffee pot. The pots and pans, plates, silverware and utensils are available for use. Also included is basic soaps, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products. Property has city water and garbage collection is on site. Wifi is available and there is cable TV for the main living room and both bedrooms. Cell phone service can be accessed, and a land line is available for local calls only.
A private lane leads to plenty of parking next to the cabin with lots of outdoor lighting. This is a great location for a quiet getaway, birthday parties, or local family reunions. Separate pricing for events based on number of people attending, call for details. A covered porch with swing and chairs faces the stream for a relaxing afternoon. A fire pit is located next to the stream and beside a covered pavilion.
For the adventurer, Parker Dam, Elliott Park, Bilger Rocks, and Curwensville Dam are close by. Clearfield area provides places to eat such as Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, Moena's Restaurant, St Charles Restaurant and the Toasted Monkey. For other points of interest and entertainment there is Grice’s Gun Shop, the Ritz theater and local wineries. Enjoy the 12 miles of rails to trails for biking and hiking between Clearfield and Grampian. Enjoy fishing, rafting and kayaking on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, which flows through Clearfield, and was named one of 2012 best destinations by National Geographic Magazine. The town of Benezette, where the Elk roam free, is approximately one hour away. There is a minimum of 2 night stay.
