Tucked away in a secluded corner in the sought after Aspens neighborhood, this fabulous 5-bedroom, 7-bath home offers space and comfort to complement phenomenal mountain views. The Aspens is located 5 miles south of Teton Village, 10 miles north of the town of Jackson and 9 miles south of Grand Teton National Park. The convenient and central location make this home an ideal staging point for all of your Jackson Hole adventures. Whether you are chasing wildflowers in the national parks or exploring the historic town square in Jackson, this home provides outstanding access to all of the activities the area has to offer and, when the day is done, a quiet refuge to rest and regroup. The comfort, location and amenities that the Mallory House provide make this home an outstanding choice for your Jackson Hole vacation.
Upon entering the home, you are welcomed by a large living and dining space with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Teton Range in an amazing showcase of the valley's immense natural beauty. The living and dining spaces are beautifully adorned with animal artifacts and trophies collected from hunting trips at various locations around the world. These beautiful creatures keep a watchful eye over this house from many vantage points. A large stone fireplace and flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and formal dining area with seating for 10-12 people round out the common area of this lower level. **Please note that the taxidermy and animal artifacts throughout the home were fished and hunted legally from the 1920s to 1960s by the patriarch of the family. We recommend informing all individuals in your party of the various mounts and artifacts throughout the home as some guests may be sensitive to their presence.
The expansive back deck will unquestionably be a highlight of this wonderful property. Complete with a large, gas BBQ grill and private hot tub and surrounded by a wonderfully manicured lawn and babbling brook (during summer months) the comfort of this space is outdone only by the breathtaking views. Grazing cattle and native wildlife are the only neighbors in sight on the bordering and undeveloped Snake River Ranch giving the home a unique sense of privacy to go along with the unobstructed views of the majestic peaks of the Teton Range. This exceptional location will inspire your inner adventurer with one glance across the vast landscape as well as your inner romantic under brilliant alpenglow sunsets! At the end of the day, take some time to relax on the deck or soak in the hot tub and reflect upon your experiences exploring one of the last vestiges of a one-time very wild “Wild West.”
The lower level of this main wing also includes the master bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bath that features a jetted soaking tub. The master bedroom opens onto a north facing deck where guests can enjoy the serenity of nature right outside their bedroom door. Two additional bedrooms as well as three additional bathrooms complete the main level. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and the other has twin beds which can be converted to a King (for a fee).
Upstairs from the kitchen, the newly renovated wing above the garage provides privacy and convenience with a well appointed kitchenette, small living area and two bedrooms with en-suite baths. The kitchenette and living room are located together in a shared space that includes a microwave, dishwasher, sink and small refrigerator along with a flat screen TV, seating area and dining table with seating for 4. Each of the upstairs bedrooms have access to the second story deck from individual, exterior entry doors. One bedroom has a set of twin beds and the other has two twins and bunks. Each set of twin beds can be converted to a king (for a fee).
On this second story there is also a large loft that overlooks the main living room. Head upstairs to the loft to play pool on the billiards table or to get some work done at the large wooden desk in the office nook. The comfortable upstairs setting also has seating in case you feel like curling up to do a little reading with a book or magazine selected from the homes extensive collection.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer located in a mudroom with a utility sink and an additional full size refrigerator. Rendezvous Mountain Rentals provides all guests with access to free wireless internet, expanded basic cable packages and free local calling as part of their rental rate.
