Hot water was a rare commodity, available at certain irregular times....usually for an hour or 2 in the evening, almost never in the mornings. When we were checking out, the host tried to charge us a fee from our deposit because we had not mopped the floor. We had tidied everything, cleared rubbish, and cleaned work surfaces...but overlooked the floor. Though considering there was no cleaning service provided through our 10 night stay, i thought this was a bit out of order.

Fantastic and spacious house with the nicest host. We would love to go back!

We rented this amazing beautiful house for 1 month. In total we were 5 adults and 4 children. The house feels very spacious; The four bedrooms (all equiped with AC) are all large and have good storage (very good for us who stayed for so long) A living room with modern TV and DVD, and two full bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen in good condition. The house is fresh and feels classy Mauritian. We especially enjoyed the beautifully green and nicely decorated garden, with banana trees, beautiful flowers and coconut palm and a nice bar and lounge area, and a large spacious dining area for at least 10 people where we ate all our meals. The pool is well looked after and fenced which was very good for us who traveled with young children. It was no problem to park two larger cars on the street outside. Albion and the area around the house is calm and beautiful. A few minutes walk away was a well stocked store that sold everything we needed, with freshly baked baguettes and croissants every morning. Next to the store is a nice and excellent restaurant "Le Murene". A few minutes walk away is an incredibly beautiful and child-friendly beach - one of the nicest beaches we visited in Mauritius! Albion is well situated on the island if you want to make day trips to for example Le Morne, Botanical Garden, Flick n Flack etc. We had our own car but also used the buss some times which was a 5 minutes walk from the hous and runs regurarlly. The owner of this house was incredibly welcoming and helpful to us all throughout our stay! We wish everyone could experience this nice house that we would love to visit again.

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour en famille dans la location de Marie Michèle. La piscine sécurisé est vraiment un plus pour cette location lorsqu'on a des enfants en bas âge. Le soir de notre arrivé Marie-Michèle nous a préparé le repas et nous a servi c'était très bien et ensuite chaque soir elle nous a préparé l'entrée et le plat, un délice, elle nous a fait découvrir les plats mauricien, c'était excellent. Nous vous conseillons. Marie-Michèle est toujours de bon conseil pour les excursions ou tous renseignements. Auprès de la maison il y a une petite alimentation 150m et une jolie plage à 200m. Et le plus de l'ile Maurice, les Mauriciens sont très gentils(lles).

Un séjour extra, beau temps, les mauriciens sont adorables, les paysages à couper le soufle, et une hôte aux petits soins qui nous a guidés parfaitement pour les excursions ! Visites des îles en bateaux privés, plages fantastiques, baignades avec les dauphins, repas avec langoustes et rhum à volonté en pleine mer ! Vraiment le coup de coeur !

Excellentes vacances à Albion, la villa est spacieuse ( nous étions 6) et au calme ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Emplacement parking très pratique et clim dans les 4 chambres. La tonnelle et les extérieurs sont bien aménagés. Le restaurant la Murène très proche est simple mais les plats sont savoureux ; la supérette du coin est super pratique pour les courses. Nous recommandons cette location.

Séjour très agréable

Marie Michel et Philippe sont des hôtes supers gentils, discrets et en même temps de bons conseils si vous avez des questions à leur poser, n'hésitez pas et leur cuisine est délicieuse. Nous étions un groupe de 11 personnes venu passer des vacances en famille. L'extérieur est très agréable et la cuisine bien équipée.

Bon séjour

Séjour très agréable, en particulier grâce aux contacts de la propriétaire nous ayant permis de profiter de l'ile: journées en taxi, sorties en bateau... Extérieurs de la maison très agréables (Piscine, salon de jardin...) Plage publique d'Albion accessible à pied, mais absence de trottoirs sur une partie du trajet donc nous avons marché avec les enfants sur le bord des routes (Comme les locaux). Plage peu touristique, essentiellement fréquentée par les locaux donc calme en semaine et animée le week end avec une belle ambiance. Eau peu profonde et possibilité de faire du snorkelling dans le lagon ce qui a fait le bonheur de tous. En ce qui concerne l'interieur de la maison des travaux sont nécessaires (mais à priori prévus) en terme de plomberie, chauffe eau... afin d'améliorer le confort des locataires. Mais cela reste un très beau séjour en famille.

Mauritian lifestyle

We stayed in the villa for 6 weeks and felt very safe and comfortable. Marie Michele is an outstanding, helpful and friendly hostess. She was always there for us and even surprised us from time to time with very tasty Mauritian food. The villa is located in a quiet and convenient area for excursions. From there we could easily reach all places on the island by car within a very short time. Dodo supermarket and the beautiful public beach are just a few minutes walk away. The shop has almost everything you need every day, including fresh baguettes and croissants. The villa is as described and has real Mauritian flair. Everything is there that you need to feel comfortable. Spacious garden, flowers, palm trees, clean pool, BBQ,............. Thank you Marie Michele. We'll be happy to come back again.

Agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour du 5 novembre au 17 novembre à 8 adultes. La maison est très agréable surtout le jardin et la piscine pour nos fin de journée. Nous n'avions pas de voiture mais ça n'a pas été un problème. Il y a une petite épicerie qui nous a bien dépanné et le petit restaurant "la murene" excellent et à prix raisonnable. Dommage que les aboiements des nombreux chiens de la rue viennent cassés le calme. Merci à Michelle pour sa gentillesse et ses petits plats pour découvrir la cuisine mauricienne.

lovely stay

The host is so friendly and helpful, the garden is so bueatiful that my family members love it so much. The location of the house is perfect, only 7-10 mins walking to the publice beach, the area is so quite and not crowded. It's convince to most of the west area place, such as Port Luice, Casela Park, dolphin bay, Gand beia……It's also easy to go to the north and south area, not a big traffic, with in one day we can easily go to all the places and come back early, then enjoy the sunset and swimming at the beach. The environment of the location is very safe, a lot of people are going for night swimming. Last but not least, the host are so kind and we enjoy our stay so much, and thanks for the host very very much!

Famille Comblée par l'Accueil et le Cadre

Bonjour, Nous sommes une petite famille de 3 personnes, un couple et un enfant de 5 ans. Nous avons sillonné une bonne parti du globe et devons admettre que l’Ile Maurice est la destination qui nous le plus marqué : temps chaud sans être désagréable, population abordable si on sait être un peu ouvert… et d’autres surprises à découvrir ! Nous avons séjourné 3 semaines dans demeure de charme. En ce qui concerne la maison, elle jouxte celle des propriétaire mais vous êtes chez vous : vous disposez de 4 grandes chambres (3 climatisées), d’un séjour pour se détendre ou regarder la télévision, une belle cuisine et enfin d’un jardin hallucinant ; plusieurs endroits pour boire l’apéritif ou manger (3 tables distinctes et un bar) et enfin la fameuse piscine : parfaite pour un rafraîchissement. Pour les commodités c’est donc quasiment un sans faute : vous pouvez séjourner jusqu’à 10 à l’aise dans cette maison de 200 mètres carré environ. (4 couples et 2 enfants par exemple). La maison se trouve à 2 minutes d’un excellent supermarché (Dodo Supermarket) et à 5 minutes à pied de la plage n°2 d’Albion (plus agréable que celle du centre ville). Enfin, et je crois le plus important : l’aspect humain. Dans cette villa, vous serez dans un calme absolu vu l’emplacement mais sachez que si vous souhaitez vous intégrer et comprendre une partie de la culture mauricienne, Marie-Michelle aura toujours plaisir de partager un moment avec vous, de vous conseiller sur l’Ile Maurice. Elle vous apportera aussi des petits plats locaux qu’elles aura concocté à votre attention : son amabilité est sans limite. Et elle cuisine divinement bien. Pour résumer, vous aurez autant de mal à quitter l’Ile Maurice que Marie, la propriétaire cette charmante maison. Un voyageur comblé.
