Owl Cottage renovated house, heated pool, accommodation for 6 people

Owl Cottage and the owners' house are in a charming 2.3-hectare plot of land which is totally private and fully fenced (to preserve your privacy and safety for your children).
Owl Cottage is an original detached stone house. It still has the original features of the past (e.g. wooden beams, a large Breton fireplace with a wood-burning stove). To access the Cottage, you must pass through the gate and cross a long (150m) private and well-lit driveway. These are only for the use of our guests. A carport and clothesline, a private patio with a stone barbecue, a large table with eight chairs, and a parasol and deckchairs are also provided. Beyond the patio, the Cottage overlooks a small grassy area shaded by trees overlooking a large fenced area with an aboveground swimming pool (air-thermal assisted heating at 27° Centigrade) located nearby, as well as several leisure facilities (swings, trampoline, picnic table, playhouse, etc.) for the very young - all within sight of the parents.
Please note: We receive many requests for the exclusive use of the pool. Our pool is NOT open to the public but is shared with guests who have booked into our Annexe (holiday cottage) and with us (the owners).
For quieter visitors, we have family games such as chess, backgammon, cards, etc.
For our older and more active visitors, we have petanque balls, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks and volleyball and table tennis.
The interior of Owl Cottage is spotless, bright, spacious and fully equipped.

Each sumptuous bed has a good mattress: 1 double bed + 4 single beds (sleeps 6).

A large, bright and spacious living/dining area with a bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, four-ring hob, microwave, etc. The cupboards are generously stocked with crockery and cutlery, including several child-friendly items.
Owl Cottage (and our grounds Lutin Park) is in a beautiful part of Brittany, allowing it to offer you a soothing and well-deserved holiday combined with many tourist facilities within a short day's drive: Breton coast (40 minutes); historical and leisure interests such as medieval castles and museums, botanical gardens, zoos, a monkey forest, go-karting, adventure forests, adventure parks...

Very comfortable stay in the French countryside

We had a lovely stay at Owl Cottage. The accommodation was very good - as described - with everything we needed, and more. The hosts were very helpful indeed. We found the location to be a bit more remote than expected (1hr from the sea) but it was lovely to be in the middle of nowhere nonetheless. I would note that the stairs to the room on the outside were steep but manageable for my elderly parents; they did however find getting into the pool difficult. That said, it was fine for my young children. The

Perfect family get away

We arrived slightly early and from that moment we were made to feel extremely welcome. The owners couldn't be more helpful. We have three children aged 14,12 and 7 and there is plenty to keep them entertained .We were fortunate enough to have three days of glorious hot sunshine meaning the kids could make the most of the large pool. When not in the pool the older boys become masters of table tennis , while our youngest daughter burned her energy off on the trampoline and swings. As parents we could relax knowing they were able to run around and play safely within the grounds. The cottage is beautiful and is fully equipped with everything you need. We would highly recommend this cottage and would come back again without any hesitation.

Une belle semaine au calme

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Pleugriffet. Le gite était très propre et parfaitement équipé, la literie confortable et les hôtes charmants. Le site est en pleine campagne, au calme idéal pour le repos et la déconnexion. La propriété est grande et dispose de nombreux jeux d'extérieur pour les familles (raquettes, table de ping-pong, panier de basket, trampoline, balançoire...). Notre seul regret : la piscine bien plus fraîche qu'annoncée sur le site. Nous recommandons cette destination pour de belles vacances en famille.

Leuke vakantie gehad bij Janine en Ekkehard. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Huisje was heel prettig. De tuin was prachtig en ook in het zwembad was het fijn vertoeven.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir hatten 10 sehr schöne Tage im Owl Cottage. Das Grundstück und der Garten sind ein Traum, unglaublich viel Platz mit viel Grün und wundervoll bepflanzt. Noch nie hatten wir eine Ferienwohnung mit solch einer Ausstattung, es fehlte an keiner Gerätschaft. Das Cottage ist gemütlich und wir hatten - auch an Regentagen - viel Platz mit 5 (fast) Erwachsenen. Auf dem Grundstück sind zahlreiche Spielmöglichkeiten und das Highlight: der große Pool. Frau und Herr Muller boten immer wieder Neues zum Spielen an. An unserem Ankunftsabend war es für uns zu spät zum Einkaufen und Frau Muller brachte uns ein Tablett mit Marmelade, eingelegten Gemüse, selbst gebackenem Brot, frischem Gemüse und Schafskäse! Diese Aufmerksamkeit und die sehr freundliche, unaufdringliche Gastfreundschaft zog sich durch unseren gesamten Aufenthalt. Die Lage des Cottages ist sehr ruhig, so wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten und perfekt für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Fahrradtouren am Kanal inklusive. Wir haben es sehr genossen!

Wir hatten 10 wunderschöne Tage; die Vermieter sind freundlich, hilfsbereit, unkompliziert - es gab einfach keine negativen Punkte für uns. Alles war vorhanden und in einem Top-Zustand. Ein erholsamer Familienurlaub

Wir hatten 10 wunderschöne und erholsame Tage im Owl Cottage. Das Grundstück ist sehr privat und ruhig. Man kann den Garten und den Pool nutzen oder Spaziergänge in der Gegend machen. Zu schönen Dörfern und Städten ist es nicht weit und auch die Küste ist gut zu erreichen. Janine und Ekkehard sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und möchten, dass ihre Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Toller Familienurlaub

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne sonnige und erholsame Wochen im Eulenhaus. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt: Das riesige Gelände mit Pool, Trampolin und Spielewiese war der Hit. Haus und Park entsprachen genau der Beschreibung. Familie Müller hat sich vorbildlich um uns gekümmert - stets aufmerksam, aber dabei sehr angenehm und unaufdringlich. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die selbstgemachte Marmelade, den frisch geernteten Salat sowie die vielen Brombeerhecken. Genossen haben wir zudem die Radtouren am Kanal, die Besichtigungen von nahegelegenen Schlössern, Ausflüge zum Meer sowie die Minigolfanlage und den Fahrradparcours in Reguiny. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Urlaub.

Urlaub mit Wohlfühlgarantie!

Hier hat alles gestimmt. Das Häuschen bot genug Platz für 6 Personen. Es war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt sowohl für uns Erwachsene, als auch für die Kleinsten ( 2 Jahre). Ekkehard und Janine haben sich sehr um uns gekümmert , sodass die 11 Tage wie im Flug vergingen. Auch wenn der Weg weit war, so hat es sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt und wir hoffen noch einmal zu kommen.

Attentive owners

Attentive owners who are keen to please! They saw that we had decided to catch the setting sun upon the field so the next day they brought extra seating out to use each evening. The pool was religiously cleaned each day. We would strongly recommend this property for its facilities and peaceful expansive site. Thanks for a great break!

Des hôtes aux bras ouverts dans un havre de paix

Un petit déjeuner dans un beau jardin avec seulement le bruit des oiseaux, un gîte très agréable, aux poutres apparentes,amoureusement décoré et superbement équipé, que demander de plus? Le plus c'est la bienveillance, le sourire et l'accueil des Muller, les propriétaires, c'est leur propriété ouverte à de larges espaces verts, un potager que Mme Muller vous fait visiter avec les yeux qui brillent , c'est Mr Muller qui ,discrètement, sait se montrer disponible, c'est les commerces de proximité et les villes avoisinantes comme Josselin pour découvrir la région. Nous sommes allés en ce gîte un peu à la découverte, nous y retournerons sûrement pour revoir les Muller, profiter du site, goûter de nouveau à leurs confitures, leurs tomates… Nous aimerions garder cette adresse secrète rien que pour nous... Ce serait cependant très égoïste car nous y avons passé de superbes journées et l'adresse mérite d'être partagée. A wonderfull cottage and an amazingly relaxing stay

Owl cottage lived up to and surpassed all of my expectations. The cottage was lovely, well furnished with ample space to accommodate my family of 6. With its own dedicated entrance and driveway, it felt like a your very own home for your stay. The outside courtyard areas with its own barbeque along with the pool and the vast amount of safe space for my children to run around and play made our trip relaxing and special. Set in an rural area of Brittany meant it was very peaceful & relaxing but close enough to towns, markets and the coast allowed us to explore the region enjoying its sights, markets and wonderful food during the days. The owners and their family were very welcoming and always on hand to offer advice or help if wanted. Nothing was too much for them and they have supplied various different actives and equipment, such as table tennis, badminton & football pitch for you to use. Over all my family and I have great holiday and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a family holiday exploring this area and looking for place to relax, unwind and switch off from their busy working days. It was an experience we would be happy to repeat in the future.

Fantastic cottage in a lovely part of Brittanny

We had a lovely stay at Owl Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed both the area and the facilities available at the cottage. There was plenty of information about the area in the cottage guide folder and failing that the owners were very helpful but not intrusive so just what you need. The cottage itself would easily cater for 6 people and one of the twin bedrooms is separate (with it's own staircase) so would be really good for when our boys are older and want their own space. As well as the games, the garden area then extends into a field so you have a large amount of space and privacy around you. There is a small town with a supermarket, bakeries and restaurants about 4km away (15 mins by bike) which was very handy and the pretty town of Josselin is only ~10-15 minutes away. Further afield the Lac au Duc is a good place for watersports or a 14 km cycle ride or walk and the beaches at Damgan are large and not too busy. Our favourite was cycling along the canal and then coming back for a swim. The kids loved being able to try lots of different games and it was good fun playing table tennis in the evening.

Nous revenons d'un séjour au parc de lutins. Accueil chaleureux, famille attentive aux besoins de ses hôtes. Logement spacieux, conforme aux photos et très bien équipé. L'extérieur est également conforme aux photos et un paradis pour les enfants. Il faut prévoir 1 heure de route pour effectuer des sorties en famille telles que ballade du père Nicolas, ferme du monde, jardins de Brocéliande, aquarium de Vannes, jardin aux papillons et 1 heure du bord de mer. Wonderful property in a peaceful location

My wife and our three daughters stayed in Owl Cottage and had a wonderful time. Mr & Mrs Muller were extremely welcoming and helpful, and the cottage is spacious and very well equipped. The swimming pool, children's games and the spaciousness of the garden area all make this property very well suited for families. The cottage is in a rural area with several villages nearby, and larger towns 15-20 min drive away. Josselin and Pontivy are well worth a visit, as are Carnac and Vannes further afield. Thoroughly recommended for a welcoming, relaxing holiday location in a beautiful part of France, with excellent facilities and provisions.

Great stay

Gite has access to large private lands suited to children who can play and explore in safety. Friendly owners on-site nearby. Gite has all the practical necessities including wifi. Lots to see and do nearby or just relaxing. Tranquil location ideal for getting away from it all. Sorry to leave could stay much longer...
