Less than a Five Star Experience
I wrote a lengthy review of our experience in this unit that I shared with the property owner. Since Vrbo limits this field to 1,500 characters, I will have to provide an abbreviated list of the positives and negatives:
Positives:
Parking in a garage
Excellent air conditioning
Solid cable television
Good internet service
Responsive management company
Nice patio furniture
Met some nice people
Selection of beach items in storage unit (umbrella, beach chair, etc.)
Nice stand-up showers
Negatives:
Cleanliness upon check-in
Stained area rugs
Stained fabric on couch
Ripped bedskirt in master bedroom
Fingerprints and scuffs on walls throughout unit
Dirty window blinds, light fixtures, lampshades, and ceiling fans
Fingerprints and smudges on sliding glass doors
Hair in bathroom sinks
Dirty toilet in master bedroom
Used bandage on patio
Light bulbs out in master bathroom shower and over second bathroom sink
Icemaker did not work
Screen door torn
Lock on sliding glass doors did not work
Digital locking mechanism on front door was tricky
Pool much smaller than appeared in photographs
Elevator out of service (Monday through Friday)
Prior to and throughout our stay, the management company made numerous references to their desire to provide a “five star experience”. Unfortunately, we are not able to say that we had a five star experience for the reasons noted. Despite the positives noted in this review, we would most certainly choose a different location.
