Two of the bedrooms are located on the main level as well as laundry full bath, kitchen and living room area. Both bedrooms on main floor offer queen sized mattresses. 3rd Bedroom is located on lower level with a NEW KING MATTRESS for your comfort. Second living room area with plenty of seating area and flat screen tv. Wide pine floors, upgraded shaker style cabinets Granite counter-tops, SS appliances. Large open concert living. Sleeps 6 people VERY comfortably. Off street parking for one vehicle. Central AC . Outside seating area for your enjoyment. Short walking distance to commuter train to Boston. Family Trip to Salem

Great location. Great property for our family of five including two toddlers. Most of the best sights in Salem were easily walkable from this location. A lot of food options around too.

Meet up with new friends in Salem

It was perfect for us and so convenient to a delightful coffee shop and restaurants. Rarely used the car since so much was withing walking distance, especially the old section of Salem. Great vacation.

Relaxing in Salem for Birthday Getaway

Our third stay at 14 Hodges. We were so pleased with the upgrades. The new beds/bedding were amazing and the new thermostat was user friendly. We managed to cook quite a bit while also eating out at our favorite vegan spots in Salem and Beverly. We headed to Boston via train for the Titanic exhibit and headed to Portland Maine and the lit up for the Holidays Nubble Light House. It was great to visit the PEM once again for some great exhibits and all the local stores. It was great to be "home."

Love This Place!

It was the best location, just a VERY short walk to all that Salem has to offer! It is right across the street from Jaho, which is an amazing coffee place and access to the lighthouse is directly across the street. The layout of the unit is awesome - the primary is in the basement with its own living area, HUGE walk-in closet, and bathroom, while the two other bedrooms are on the main floor. It felt very private having the whole basement to ourselves. The only downside (and it's a personal preference) to the unit was that in the living areas, there were no lamps, only harsh ceiling lights. I can't say enough good things about where this unit is located in Salem and how clean it was. We will definitely rent from Jenn!

Halloween Haven

The property is comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, right at the harbor with an excellent cafe right across the street. I have stayed at a few VRBO properties and never had plenty of toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags, etc provided. That was a fantastic surprise. If a may make one tiny suggestion, a row of coat hooks next to the front door would be a cheap, but much appreciated addition. Again, this property is wonderful and if I make my way back to Salem I will rent this place again.

Sista Trip to Salem

What an amazing weekend! Salem is an incredible place to visit. The unit was beautifully done and very clean and Jennifer the host very responsive. There was 3 of us and we each had our own room and enough space for 3 more!! Great location everything literally in walking distance!! Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect Salem location

The location could not be more perfect. You are across the street from a lovely coffee shop that serves a great small breakfast. You are minutes away from the central happenings of Salem. You do not need a car. We took a Lyft to Salem and we walked everywhere. We are not a walking family. Everything is just so close. The house was nice. The king sized bed is downstairs. This wasnt a problem for us, but I could see it being an issue if we had little kids. It worked out perfecr for our family. I highly recommend staying here.

Great girls weekend!

Such a great girls trip house! Walking distance to almost all the local attractions. Also short walk to the ferry back to Boston. Two of the beds were great, one in the front bedroom was a little old and dips but not terrible. House qas very clean, two living rooms, super close to a coffe shop and great sunrise spot. Would likely stay here again if we ever come back!!

A great location

This is my third stay here- you can’t beat the location! The apartment is nice, but the first bedroom off the living room had a bad mattress that sagged, and we saw a mouse! Eek!

Buyer Beware: Disappointing Stay

I cannot recommend this property. My recent stay was far below expectations and left much to be desired. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Cleanliness: The property was in a state of neglect. Cobwebs were visible in multiple areas, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. 2. Pillows: The pillows were a major issue. Not only did they have an unpleasant smell, raising concerns about hygiene, but they were also extremely uncomfortable. The discomfort significantly impacted sleep quality and added to the overall poor experience. 3. Dust: There was a noticeable layer of dust throughout the property, suggesting inadequate cleaning between guests. 4. Bed Quality: The beds were in poor condition, sinking in significantly even for an average-weight person. This, combined with the uncomfortable pillows, led to restless nights and potential back discomfort. 5. Insufficient Amenities: There was a lack of towels provided, which is a basic necessity for any accommodation. This oversight added inconvenience to our stay. The only positive aspect of this stay was the location, which was convenient. However, this single factor is not enough to outweigh the numerous problems with the property itself. Overall, the lack of attention to cleanliness, maintenance, basic amenities, and guest comfort severely impacted the quality of my stay. While the location is good, I would strongly advise potential renters to look elsewhere for a more comfortable,

Great location and accommodations

If you plan to spend most of your time in Salem, this is an amazing place to stay! After arriving, we didn't use our car for the first 3 days because we were so close to downtown. The only issue we had was with some inconsiderate "neighbors" in the unit above us who enjoyed yelling and slamming doors while using our shared entrance late at night. If you are a light sleeper I don't suggest staying in the bedroom downstairs for this reason. On the positive side, the neighborhood is very quiet and so were the second group of people who stayed upstairs. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location

The location is across the street from the harbor in Salem. It was such a pleasure to see water and boats every time you stepped out of the door. It is just a short walk to Essex Street which is where most of the shopping is. There are great restaurants and coffee cafes across the street from the property. Easy access to everything. The property was spacious and immaculate. I brought my own sheets and towels because I wasn’t sure what I was walking into but I did not need them. Everything was spotless.

Amazing stay in a great location

We enjoyed our stay very much. This home was in the ideal location for all of the areas we wanted to visit. 30 minute drive to all of our destinations. We were able to walk to ALL in Salem. Off street parking was much appreciated. The house was extremely clean. Plenty of space for our family of 4. I loved the privacy of the lower level area, complete with separate bathroom and walk in closet! Stocked with lots of towels, toiletry items and kitchen supplies. Beautiful view across the street. Thank you for a great visit!

Location is 🔥

Salem is such a walkable town and this townhouse was in the perfect location! We walked around town, around the wharf, and even to the train station where we hopped on board and spent a day in Boston. Close to dining, shopping, site-seeing, etc. Our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out and the extra living area was a bonus. Only suggestion would be to add a few more coffee mugs and basic utensils such as spatulas and maybe an ice cream scoop.

Amazing waterfront location in beautiful Salem, MA

Whether you like quintasential New England coastal communities or eclectic, artistic uniqueness, Salem has it all. This property is located centrally to an amazing seaport, but also steps from a unique city with some of the oldest sites in the US. The clean, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths offer plenty of space to share with family and friends.
