Enjoyed a weekend getaway in Castel. Kayaked, hiked enchanted rock, ate burgers at the general store and just enjoyed some peace and quiet. Jennifer was a gracious host. Loved our trip!
Jennifer never disappoints. The house is always clean and it’s within walking distance to the Castell General Store and the Llano River. I will definitely stay here again.
My family had a reunion to see the eclipse and spend time together. Very quiet place, no sirens, dark skies for star gazing. Short walk to the General Store and river. Minimal cell service for Verizon; one family member had better luck with ATT. The outdoor patio was perfect for eating outside.
We visit Castell for the biking and always stay at the Twisted River Resort. This visit was for the Annual Castell Grind bike race in April. The Twisted River Resort was in excellent shape as always. Clean and fully stocked with towels and linens.
The patio is perfect and the grounds are immaculate. Jennifer is a very attentive host making sure everything was just right. The house sits off the main road and is quiet day or night with amazing view of the stars. Walking distance to the best burgers around at the Castell General Store and a dip in the cool waters of the Llano river. Highly recommend the Twisted River Resort if you are staying in Castell. We highly recommend biking the surrounding quiet rural roads for an escape from the hustle and traffic of larger towns. We will be back.
We have a yearly golf trip to the Llano area and have stayed in Castell each time. This is our favorite property because it is back off the road and it is perfect for a bunch of guys. Close enough to walk to the store for a great burger/meal and to the river to cool off and just relax. Jennifer is great to work with, and we look forward to coming back.
Beautiful location in the country within walking distance of the Llano River and Castell General Store where they have good food and entertainment. Jennifer is a very attentive host. The house was clean and comfortable and looks just like the photos. It has the feel of stepping back in time but has been remodeled just enough to give it modern comfort.
This is my favorite B&B to stay at while visiting Castell as it has all the accommodations needed, ole Ty of beds, very spacious, roomy, clean and has so much charm both inside & outside…perfect for any family/friend fun getaway…I’ll most certainly be back!!
This property was great for our group. We have an annual family golf trip that has grown to 8 men and it was a perfect spot. Walking distance to the Castell Store which has great food and refreshments, and to the Llano River. We play golf in Llano, so it is a short drive to the course as well. Love the people here, the solitude of the area and the relaxed environment. The house met our needs and was clean and comfortable. My one comment would be that the description lists a coffeemaker and the pictures of the house show a traditional drip coffeemaker, but there was not one. There was a Kureg style coffeemaker with only three pods and we didn't bring any, so this was the only negative but not enough to be that big of a deal.
We had a great time at Castell. We loved the house it was perfect for our girls weekend. The patio was a great place to chill and enjoy the cooler evenings. The river was a short walk. The locals were fun and you can’t beat the burgers from the general store!
