Peace and Tranquility

The most beautiful house and gardens where we were able to relax in the peace of the countryside, just a short drive to Silves. Genevieve is an excellent host, very welcoming and kind, leaving us to ourselves unless we needed something. Highly recommend staying here.

Loverly house. Host met us to guide us to the house as is off beaten track. That was as described. Beautiful veiws. The house had everything you would need. Little things like condiments washing up liquid etc all there.we used as a base as my parents live nearby and would have no hesitation in recommending and using again

A traditional stone house which would be cool in the summer. Lovely external terrace. A beautiful walk through the orange groves to a local cantina. Location of property 0.5km from road down a farm track.

A piece of heaven on earth

Most serene and idyllic location in Portuguese countryside. If you are looking for some peace and quiet and want to escape busy lifestyle this is a place just for you. There was more than enough room for four people, plenty privacy, lovely garden, we couldn't wish for more perfect accommodation. Genevieve is such a kind soul, always ready to help and advise on anything you need. Don't think twice, book now and enjoy stunning environment and true hospitality. We will definitely be booking it again in the future.

Superb!!!

This house is absolutely fantastic!!!Far away from noice and busy roads yet close enough if you want some fun. Both owners are very kind and warm women who will help you with whatever you need. Huge house,big terraces with sun all day and massive garden with orange trees!!!We have had fresh orange juice every day!! We will go back for sure our piece of Paradise on earth!! Waren sehr zufrieden, das einzige was erwähnenswert wäre, konnte man nicht in der Anzeige lesen das das zweite Schlafzimmer über eine Treppe zur Dachterasse zu erreichen ist. Das Zimmer hat eine Dusche und Toilette . Die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben die Ruhe die dort herrscht sehr genossen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Un beau lieu pour une belle rencontre

Voila un avis facile à rédiger ! Vous venez pour passer une semaine dans l'Algarve, en arrière saison, sans trop connaître la région ? Pas de soucis Geneviève est là ! Vous y découvrirez votre havre de paix pour un séjour au milieu des orangers qui vous détendra. Sur place tout est là, propre, grand, agréable. Trois terrasses pour profiter de l'extérieur (avec bien sûr à chaque fois tables et chaises), une vue magnifique à vous donner envie d'habiter sur place, la bouteille de vin blanc portugais n'attendais que votre arrivée pour passer un bon moment. Les deux chambres sont spacieuses, la literie est bonne, la cuisine est fonctionnelle et suffisamment équipé (attention pas de four), le salon est spacieux avec un canapé qui n'attend que votre présence pour y lire les romans laissés sur place par Geneviève, ou simplement y lire la documentation de la région. Et bien entendu il y a Geneviève qui est là, source de multiples conseils, tous meilleurs les uns que les autres, vous parlant du petit restaurant ou il faut aller pour manger les sardines grillés (je valide), les conseils de visites ou encore de parking, mais surtout un échange plaisant avec quelqu'un de cultivé qui sait rapidement vous cerner et vous donner matière à passer un agréable séjour. Elle est aussi précieuse car elle ne s'impose pas à vous, sait être là trente secondes pour demander si tout va bien au retour d'une ballade, et vous laisse profiter des lieux après. Merci pour cette semaine qui a une réussite !

Heerlijk weekje rust

Geneviève haalde ons op in Silves. Anders hadden we dit zeer rustig gelegen huisje nooit gevonden. Het was een welkom en zeer gastvrije ontvangst. Wel even wennen aan de laatste 300 meter onverharde, grind weg. Maar daarna had je ook wat: prachtig rondom uitzicht op de heuvels, de sinaasappelbomen, en plukjes huizen op de hellingen. We waren met zijn 2en, ieder had een eigen slaapkamer met eigen sanitair. Van de overige binnenruimte hebben we verder geen gebruik gemaakt. Altijd heerlijk buiten een goed plekje kunnen vinden, op dakterras ontbijten en soms ook avondeten bij prachtige zonsondergang, als het te heet werd in de schaduw in de tuin en ‘s avonds op het terras beneden lekker beschut zitten. Dicht bij strand, mooie kuststreek en het dorp silves. Wij kijken terug op een heerlijke ontspannen week. Dank je wel Geneviève voor je gastvrijheid! Ria en Dorine

Un paradis au milieu des orangers

Tout d'abord il y a Geneviève qui nous accueille avec toute sa générosité à Silves. La location est paradisiaque, avec les orangers, les bougainvilliers, les papillons et les oiseaux. L'intérieur est décoré avec goût et tout est fait pour que les vacanciers se sentent à l'aise. Nous sommes à deux pas de Silves, où il y a tout ce qu'il faut et elle est superbe. Ruhe mit Aussicht

Auf verschiedenen Ebenen gibt es Sitzplätze: Kaffee am Morgen auf dem Dach mit schöner Aussicht auf die Orangenplantagen, am Nachmitttag die Wärme beim unteren Sitzplatz geniessen und den Abend am Tisch beim Haus ausklingen lassen. Jede und jeder findet den passenden Platz. Genevieve ist eine aufmerksame, äuserst hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.Die Lage des Hauses ist bestens. Strände und Städtchen sind gut und rasch erreichbar. Ganz herzlichen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

La casa perfecta para visitar el Algarve

La propietaria es muy atenta y amable. La casa es preciosa, está en un lugar muy tranquilo en los campos del pueblo de Silves, que es muy bonito. Está a media hora en coche de las mejores playas y pueblos de el Algarve. Volvería sin pensármelo.

ruhiger, schöner und erholsamer Urlaub

Schöne Ferienwohnung mitten in Obsthaine und in ländlicher Umgebung. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön gestaltet und lädt zum verweilen ein. Wir haben täglich auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt und haben die Abende bei einem Gläschen Wein genossen. Mit einem Auto ist das Hinterland als auch die Strände schnell erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, hat uns mit Tipps und Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten ausgestattet. Es war ein schöner, ruhiger und erholsamer Urlaub.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in stillem in stillem Orangenhain

Traumhaft!

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, die Bilder werden dem Appartement definitiv nicht gerecht. Top ausgestattet und wirklich liebevoll. Vermieterin ist sehr zuvorkommend, da wenn man was braucht aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir fanden die Lage auch sehr schön, wenn man gerne Ruhe hat ist man dort richtig. Strände in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto erreichbar, Lagos, wirklich ein Ausflug wert, auch nicht weit. Zu beachten ist tatsächlich, dass man zu dem Haus bergauf über Feldwege fahren muss, ist beim Leihauto ein guter Tipp. Hatten wir nicht aber dafür eine gute Autovermietung die uns einen dementsprechend hohes Auto dafür gegeben hat. Nicht falsch verstehen, einfach zu fahren aber ein tiefergelegtes Auto wäre hier nicht von Vorteil. Ich hoffe ich habe nichts vergessen aber im Grunde gibt es einfach nur positives. Wir wünschen alle die sich für das Appartement entscheiden einen wunderschönen Urlaub! Sabine & Christian

Ein Haus zum verlieben!

Hinter uns liegen zwei wunderbare Wochen in diesem traumhaften Häuschen mitten in den Orangenhainen. Hier ist es wunderschön! Auf den unterschiedlichen Terrassen findet man je nach Bedarf entweder ein schattiges oder ein sonniges Plätzchen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Dachterrasse, von der man die Sonnenuntergänge beobachten kann. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist perfekt- es ist alles da, was man benötigt. Ein herzlicher Dank an Genevieve, der ausgezeichneten herzlichen Gastgeberin. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Paradise

I can not begin to describe how perfect our stay was. The house is so charming, conserving the originality and beauty of the Portuguese culture, siting on the top of beautiful hills with oranges and lemons, gorgeous terrace to watch the sunsets and other terraces to choose from depending on the temperature. It has everything you need for a long stay (we stayed for 10 days), including lots of kitchen utensils that make you feel at home. In the beautiful town of Silves, away from the crowds, but close enough to drive to the beaches, and any other park that the algarve area has to offer. And our host Genevieve… our 12 year old daughter said she should have the Nobel prize for “nicest person”. Such a discreet, caring, interesting, smart and beautiful host. It would have been fantastic to see more of her and get to know her a little more, although she is just in the house next door if you need her. I don’t remember feeling more comfortable, at peace and at my own home, in any of the houses I have rented. ♥️
