    Our Summer Getaway

    A great central location opposite the Arena which was within easy walking distance the central railway station and everything else in Nimes. Which made it a very enjoyable summer holiday.

    The accommodation was fine, some of the crockery was dirty so we had to check and clean as we went through the week, the stairs to the apartment were challenging they certainly raised the heart rate. The location was fabulous very close to the city centre and all the historic attractions. All told we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Wonderful property

    We stayed at this property for a few nights while in Nîmes, for festival. The location is across from the Arena of Nîmes, and an easy walk to many restaurants. It’s a large place with all the amenities, and very clean. Christelle is a fabulous host and communicated with us before, during and after our stay. We had a great stay and recommend it to any adult group or couple.

    The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. The location could not have been better and Christelle, the owner, was a delight to deal with. Being right in the centre of town meant that there was some noise from the streets especially at the weekend. However, that did not spoil our enjoyment and we would love to go back.

    Quirky but amazing!

    My friend and I recently spent two weeks in Nimes at Christelle's lovely apartment. The layout is a little quirky, but we quickly learned our way around and fell in love. The location is excellent. The old part of the city, with dozens of cafes and shops, is a very short walk away. You can see the top of the arena from the terrace. And speaking of the terrace - we lived up there. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees for the duration. There is a sink, small fridge, dishes and a toilet on that level. Making dinner on the terrace a snap. There are three flights of steps to the apartment, four up to the terrace. We are both 65 and managed - even with luggage. The apartment was quiet and cool. Christelle and her dad were very gracious and friendly. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend it for your stay in Nimes.

    Charmante Wohnung im Herzen der Stadt

    Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und liegt im Herzen der Stadt, nur wenige Meter von der Arena entfernt. Es ist der ideale Ort, um die wunderbare Stadt und die Umgebung zu entdecken, aber wir konnten - besonders am Nachmittag auf der Dachterrasse - die Tage auch sehr gut zum Entspannen nutzen. An einigen Stellen im Haushalt zeigt sich zwar etwas Renovierungsbedarf, aber alles in allem macht auch das den Charme des Ortes aus. Wir haben uns jedenfalls sehr wohl gefühlt.

    Really wonderful apartment but be warned: there are 49 steps to get to the apartment and an additional 15 to get to the terrace. Do some strengthening exercises to prepare.

    Charmante Wohnung in bester Lage von Nîmes

    Wir haben im Sommer 2022 drei Wochen in der schönen Wohnung von Christelle verbracht. Sie entspricht voll und ganz den Aufnahmen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und Chr. hatte sogar dafür gesorgt, dass wir leckere Kleinigkeiten im Kühlschrank vorfinden. Nochmals herzlichen Dank dafür! Auch bezüglich des „Check-in“ war Chr. absolut flexibel. Ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß befindet sich die Garage, die mit einem kleineren Auto (wir haben einen Peugeot 108) gut zu nutzen ist. Die Wohnung verfügt über eine Klimaanlage, die sich im Bereich Küche/Wohnzimmer befindet. In den beiden Schlafzimmern befinden sich Ventilatoren. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, dass zwei Badezimmer vorhanden sind. Die Wärme des Duschwassers im größeren Badezimmer war fest eingestellt und nicht regulierbar. Die Temperatur des Wassers war uns etwas zu heiß, was nicht schlimm war, da wir in das kleinere Badezimmer ausweichen konnten, wo die Temperatur des Wassers gut zu regulieren war und der etwas geringe Wasserdruck durch die Nutzung der Handdusche kein Problem darstellte. Wir haben in dem hinteren Schlafzimmer geschlafen und fanden die Matratze sehr angenehm. Es war auch möglich den Raum relativ gut zu verdunkeln. Die Küche mit einem Gasherd ist funktional ausgestattet und die Kochutensilien sind alle nutzbar. Es wackelt zwar der eine oder andere Griff am Topf, wie auch der eine oder andere Stuhl in der Wohnung, doch dies machte für uns den Charme der Wohnung aus, die sehr liebevoll und stimmig eingerichtet ist. Am meisten haben wir die Terrasse geschätzt, die morgens vollumfänglich im warmen Sonnenlicht liegt (es gibt ein Dachsegel, das Schatten spendet; trotzdem war es morgens im Hochsommer 2022 sehr heiß) und abends im Schatten lag, wo wir den Tag entspannt ausklingen lassen konnten. Vor der Terrasse gibt es einen kleinen Raum, in dem auch ein Kühlschrank steht und ein Waschbecken installiert ist, was den einen oder anderen Gang in die Küche erspart. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön bepflanzt und durch die Bewässerungsanlage brauchten wir nur an den sehr heißen Tagen selbst zu gießen. Der Bahnhof ist ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. In der direkten Umgebung befinden sich Lebensmittelläden, einige Konditoreien und viele Restaurants. Als Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung der Region ist Nîmes bestens geeignet. Wir haben drei wunderschöne Wochen in einer sehr außergewöhnlichen und individuellen Wohnung verbracht, die ganz nach unserem Geschmack war. Eindeutig 5 Sterne!

    Lovely Home!

    Christelle (Owner) met us punctually and gave us a complete introduction to her home. The pictures and write up give a true depiction of her home. It is very comfortable and outfitted with everything that is needed. It was very much appreciated that the kitchen area has all needed basics.     Nos vacances sont terminés, les souvenirs restent... Parmi les meilleurs est l'appartement de Nîmes avec sa terrasse où j'ai quasiment "vécu" et parfois dormi. L'appartement est magnifique, atypique, empreint d'une belle âme et plein d'histoires. Nous avons été heureux d'y séjourner. En dehors du charme du lieu, le confort est au rendez-vous et tout le reste plus que pratique : la situation au centre ville, la proximité des commerces et des restos, le garage des propriétaires.     In the heart of Roman culture and southern France today.

    Christelle's Nimes apartment is splendidly located within this city of infinite charms. Its magical terrace overlooks both the 2000-year old Roman arena and the glass rooftop of Nimes' new Musée de la Romanité. Climbing the old building's many stairs is well-worth the effort to enjoy this marvelous view, as well as for the unique interior design of Christelle's spacious and modern two-bedroom, two-bath apartment.

    Awesome appartment in Nimes, close to the Arena, heat the great concerts every night

    Great place, close to everything, Christelle was awesome to help us get settled, provided food and drink when we arrived.. best location in Nimes, all the bars restaurants and markets 5 minutes away, appartment was comfortable for the 5 of us..     Nimes is walkable City with lovely parks and fabulous public spaces. This apartment central to all major sites. Kitchen well equipped to cook after visiting Les Halles market daily. Laundry room with extra fridge. Two and a half baths, perfect for 2 couples plus 2 kids on futon with one couple. Owners helpful, friendly with good guide books. Offsite parking for 1 midsize car. Enjoyed the character of the 14th century building. Had meals on the terrace. Would be happy to return.

    STUNNING APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF NIMES

    We have stayed in many apartments in France over the past few years but this really is the best. The accommodation is spacious and full of character and you really feel you are 'living' France. The apartment has every facility you could ask for and the terrace with its view of les arenes (the Roman amphitheatre) is amazing - a sun-trap with a great view. To add to this, it is a very short walk from the railway station and only a few steps to the town centre. A boulangerie for your daily baguette is literally on the doorstep.     Appartement de goût idéalement situé

    Cette location fut parfaite pour notre séjour à Nîmes. Nous y avons séjourné avec nos trois enfants pour assister au festival de musique dans les arènes qui se trouvent juste à côté. L'appartement est décoré avec goût dans un immeuble ancien, ce qui lui donne beaucoup de charme. Très confortable, nous avons beaucoup apprécié sa très belle terrasse avec sa vue sans vis à vis sur la ville ! L'emplacement est idéal pour découvrir le centre ville à pied. Christelle, notre hôte pleine d'attention, nous a très bien accueillis, et nous a fourni de très bons conseils pour visiter la région. Et nous avions la possibilité de la contacter facilement pour d'éventuelles questions. Nîmes est très bien placée pour rayonner dans une magnifique région et nous en avons profité. Le garage (qui se situe a quelques pas de l'immeuble) est bien pratique pour garer une voiture dans le centre ville. Au final, une location parfaite pour un séjour réussi !

    Amazing apartment

    We stayed in this home for 5 days on our recent visit to Nimes. It was perfect and so beautiful. The terrace made our trip. There were concerts at the arena almost every night and the sounds drifted over to us. We had a group of 5 people and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to make our meals. Such a wonderful place. Will definitely stay agin if I return to the area!

    Bijou mit Charme, Stadthaus und Dachterasse, pefekt für den Wohlfühl- und Entdeckerurlaub

    Un très bel appartement avec une terrasse manifique au milieu d'une ville vivante, parfait pour un séjour à se détendre et à découvrir Nîmes et ses alentours! Wir empfehlen die Wohnung sehr gerne weiter (auch für zwei Paare).Christelle, Jean-François und ihr Vater haben uns beim Einbiegen in die Rue Jean Reboul herzlich empfangen. Mit ihrer Hilfe und unter dem Gehupe der nachfolgenden Autos haben wir das Gepäck ausgeladen und in die Wohnung hohgetragen (Kein Lift). Zuoberst im alten Stadthaus mit Geschichte fühlten wir uns sofort zuhause. Die Wohnung ist persönlich und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet und bietet, wie beschrieben, allen Komfort. Eine Treppe höher geht es auf die Terasse, hier haben wir mit Sicht auf die Arena (und die halsbrecherischen Fotoshootings der Touristen) gefrühstückt, Pläne geschmiedet, gelesen und uns von den "Wanderungen" durch Nîmes ausgeruht. Gleich über die Strasse beginnt die Altstadt mit ihren Gassen, Plätzen und Alleen, Boutiquen, Märkten und Restaurants, und mit dem Jardin des Fontaines, alles zu Fuss zu entdecken. Und schön, nach einem feinen Essen unter freiem Himmel gemütlich nach Hause zu schlendern. Nîmes bietet sich perfekt an als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Wir waren bei den Pferden in der Camargue, in Ste Marie am Meer, in Montpellier im Port Marianne auf Architektur-Wanderung, in Les Baux im Lichtspektakel in den Steinbrüchen - alles leicht zu erreichen, interessant und abwechslungsreich! Dass für das Auto (besser keine grosse Limousine) in der Nähe eine Garage zur Verfügung steht, macht das Angebot zusätz- lich attraktiv.
