A well appointed single level, 1,300 sqft cottage, a little over 100 yards from quiet beach access. This open, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath home is on a quaint and quiet side street lined by old oak trees. The wooded surroundings of the home provides great opportunities to see foxes, frogs, raccoons and deer many months of the year. You are far enough away from the road to not hear cars traveling up and down the island. Most times you'll only hear the sound of waves hitting the beach. Very little ambient light from other houses or street lights, so lots of great star viewing.
Bring your EV! A 240VAC/50A, NEMA 14-50 outlet is available in the parking area for you to use for charging your vehicle. A charger is not supplied so bring your preferred travel charger with you.

The beach area in front of the access point is not crowded because of the lack of nearby 'house density' or public Access. It is a quiet area with lots of families. Only 1.5 miles from downtown Surf City and the pier.
The Kitchen is fully appointed with lots of flatware for serving great meals. Includes a coffee maker, food processor, toaster oven, crock pot, blender and a myriad of pots of pans for cooking a wonderful meal. There is bar seating at the kitchen counter for 4 and a custom farmhouse dining table that will seat 6.

We are a family of outdoor enthusiasts that love being outside and active, whenever possible. Surf City/Topsail has been a favorite of ours since we moved to NC in 2004. We love the low-key, family-oriented nature of the island and really like the lack of commercialization. We are also a family of surfers and really like the miles of uncrowded beach breaks, right out front.
Why they chose this property
Off the beaten path on an oak tree lined street. Quiet and tranquil. Topsail Island and Surf City are one of a handful of remaining NC beach towns that commercialization has not caught up to. You won't find miles of neon signs, fast food restaurants, arcades, loud bars or nightclubs. Wilmington has all of those things and more and is under 30 mins away.
What makes this property unique
Only 100 yards from deeded beach access. Because of the lack of building density at and around the house, the beach never gets crowded. The back deck of the house looks out onto a wooded buffer between neighboring street. The sound is only 100 yards away as well. You could easily launch a kayak from there. Beach/Sound. Has it all!
A sidewalk parallel to Route 50 is 100 yards away. If you don't want to run on the beach, you can run south on a sidewalk all the way into the town of Topsail Beach, 5 miles away. A bike path on the road shoulder starts about 3/4 miles from the house and runs 10 miles north, to the town of North Topsail. Really nice for a great, fast road ride spin.
