Ride out to the “Hideout” for a budget-friendly stay with your canine companion. The invitingly updated living, dining and kitchen areas welcome you to relax as you take in the beach and sound views.

The cottage inspired bedrooms each offer their own appeal. Sit out on the open wrap-around deck and enjoy the splendor of the sea, sun and sound. The public beach access is just a short walk away in sight of the house.

Ceiling fans throughout, High Chair, Deck Gates for Dogs and Kids, Rocking Chairs, 2 enclosed outside showers w/hot water, paved parking

Please note that during the summer months (June, July, August) we can only rent Saturday to Saturday. Thank you!

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not pour any grease whatsoever down the sink. We are on a septic tank and they are very sensitive. This could also cause a backup into the house.
Do not set the Air Conditioning below 70 degrees because the unit will freeze up and shut off. The renter will be responsible for calls to HVAC tech.
Do not use the grill under the house, please grill in front of the house in order to avoid a house fire. Do not ever place the grill on the deck.

Great, easy spot for a small - midsize group

Stayed here with a few family members this past weekend. Weather was amazing, Rideout's Hideout was a great, easy spot for a small - midsize group. We didn't stay here as much during the days as our extended family rented another, bigger place nearby. We mainly just slept here. Slept well though, and public beach access is practically right there. Thanks again!!

Great home for the price!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean, and the open living areas make the home feel bigger than it is. It's a 5 min walk to the beach and was fine even with a baby in tow. The outdoor showers are great! And the kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home. This house exceeded our expectations and was a heck of a deal. Thanks!

Good Location

Good spot right behind the sea vista motel which is beachfront on south end of the island, which is less crowded. You can see the ocean on both sides of the motel from the spacious deck. 2 outside showers with good pressure and temp. House is small 1.5 baths 3bd but worked well for 5 of us. Bring linen, towels, paper towels/TP, all toiletries. Everything else there. Would return.

Great stay on south Topsail Beach

Our family of four enjoyed staying at Rideout’s Hideout. This was our first time using VRBO on Topsail and we’re not going to use the realty companies again! We felt that it was reasonably priced with no hidden or extra fees. The process to rent was easy and we were able to rent for a partial week. The owner was very responsive to our needs. If you need linens it is so easy to rent through Mom and Me rentals. We were a short walk to the beach. I actually measure distance by whether or not my 4 year old complains that she’s tired – and she never did. Beach access is handicapped accessible if you should have a beach cart or jogging stroller. It was so nice to stay in a three bedroom house where each child had their own bedroom and we were able to stay in a comfortable king. We loved hanging out on the deck to look at the ocean and sound and beautiful sunsets. We didn’t want to leave.

LOVED this house! Perfect location, perfect size and CLEAN. Easy walk back and forth for kids for bathroom, snacks, or rest. Beach is quiet, quick 15 min drive for restaurants or mini golf. We are already planning out next summer!

Best at the beach

My family had an amazing stay. The place was just as described with the right amount of space plus some for a family of five. The beach was super convenient and walkable and the outdoor showers were refreshing and kept the sand out of the house. Games and bunk beds were a hit for the kids. We will definitely be back!
