If you are looking for an affordable, private getaway, 'Rhumb Runners' is the place for you. We are pleased to be able to offer this very special villa at very affordable rates. With million dollar views, Rhumb Runners is the perfect villa for your special time on St John. Rhumb Runners is designed for open living. The great room has both living and dining areas that have been professionally decorated with custom furnishings and original island art work. The great room offers 180 degree views of St John's Bordeaux Mountain, Coral Bay, the Caribbean Sea and the British Virgin 'Down-Islands'.

Rhumb Runners offers a complete entertainment center, flat screen satellite TV, DVD player, and high speed WIFI. Right off the beamed ceiling great room there is a private pool with stunning views. An outside dining area can be found on the deck outside the great room.

The full sized kitchen, which looks over the pool, is equipped with new microwave oven, new coffee maker, new gas range, and refrigerator. A NEW KITCHEN WITH GRANITE COUNTER TOPS HAS BEEN INSTALLED. The dining area has comfortable seating for up to six people. A covered deck wraps around the the large balcony.

The second floor is home to the air conditioned king-sized suites, each with it's own private bathroom with showers. The second bedroom can be easily converted to 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms have a spacious feel due to high-beamed ceilings and large windows.
Please note, that during high season, we rent from Saturday to Saturday.

The Peaceful Side of St. John

Beautiful views from the living room, porch and pool deck. The house is in a gorgeous location overlooking Coral bay. Only a short drive to all the best the island has to offer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back spot in St John.

Beautiful home with stellar views! The constant breeze on the deck was amazing. Pool was perfect for post beach dips. The beach towels, chairs and cooler were much appreciated. Great size for a family of 4 (two twin beds worked well for our girls ages 7 and 11). Host was super helpful with travel tips. I recommend experienced drivers getting to and from the property, but well worth such beauty :) Thank you Chris for the little welcome gifts for the kids! What a nice special touch.

Sweet cottage with brilliant sunrises and pool!

We loved watching the bananaquits at sunrise and enjoyed the pool in the afternoon when we returned from the beach. The living area was big enough to host some family members for dinner and the deck large enough to enjoy a couples massage overlooking Coral Bay. The kitchen was easy to use and having a washing machine was a big plus. Host was super responsive. We’d definitely stay again!

10 year anniversary trip

Beautiful property on Coral Bay, great location, close to several restaurants on the east side of the island. Relaxing stay away from the crowds of Cruz bay with amazing easterly sunrise views, still close to the northern beaches.

Beautiful Property with Amazing Views

It’s hard to find the right words to describe how amazing this place is. If you love St. John and appreciate the quiet side of Coral Bay the way my family does, then I promise you will love this place. The views are breathtaking, the house is immaculate, and Chris and Mike are wonderful people and hosts. You can tell that Mike and Chris really care about this property and care about making sure that guests love it the same way they do. My kids LOVED the pool and spent hours in there, which was also beautifully maintained. Our family will definitely be returning!

Hard to leave such a fantastic island home!

The pictures don’t do this beautiful spot justice. Our party of 4 arrived from the mud & slush of the Northeast’s March weather to everything we needed for a much needed relaxing holiday. Chris & Michael checked in just before we left to remind us to pack light & to get details of our plans. Chris then went out of her way to meet us & get us to Rhumb Runners, showing us the lay of the land, all the amenities, and even recommended a great restaurant close by after traveling all day. Each day we watched the sun rise on the spectacular wrap around porch, struck out early for a hikes, found the best snorkeling, came back for a dip in the pool, and then out to a restaurant for dinner. Rhumb Runners was the absolute perfect home base for us and our 2 friends and how we do vacations! We were just getting good at it and had to return home. Thank you Chris & Mike. It was perfect!

The perfect place for us to stay

We have rented many VRBO homes over the years but never had such helpful and attentive hosts as Chris and Michael. Chris met us and explained how to get up the driveway and actually went ahead of us. It looks daunting at first but once you get used to it, it was very doable. The house has the most amazing views. We spent most of our time while there on the front porch watching the sunrise, moonrise and the cute little yellow birds called bananaquits taking baths and drinking sugar water we left on the railing. The house is clean and comfortable and well stocked with kitchen tools as well as towels and extra blankets. A couple of tips- there is no gas station in Coral Bay so we would recommend gassing up at Midway on Route 10 on your way over from Cruz Bay. Also the grocery store at Midway has quite a bit lower prices than in Coral Bay (although still higher than at home). We had a great meal at Rhumb Lines in Coral Bay and at High Tides in Cruz Bay.

Coral Bay - ST John USVI

Had a good stay at the Villa. Overall clean. Views are outstanding. Wish I could upload the pictures from the balcony. This is a two story home. Bedrooms and full bathrooms are upstairs. 1/2 bath is downstairs. Full kitchen, dining table, sofa, chairs, TV and wifi. No issues with the house. Clothes washer is outside and below the house in a shed. (Needs to be replaced). No clothes dryer. We hung clothes on a line w/ clothes pins. There is a pool on the property, but we did not use it. This location is up the mountain/hill. Driveway on Howard's Way is a concrete path that is steep and has several switchbacks. Owner or representative will meet you near Coral Bay to show you the location and how to negotiate the driveway. Recommend you rent a Jeep or a 4WD vehicle to get around and to/from the property. St. John is basically a big national park. You are 25 minutes /- from Cruz Bay. This is the Eastside of the Island. Lime Out is in Coral Bay. Not far from Cinnamon Bay or Maho Bay. Overall, nice stay. Have the owner notify the neighbors you will be staying to avoid anyone blocking the driveway.

Fantastic Stay

Everything as described and even though the pictures are amazing they do not do the view justice. We were absolutely thrilled with the property and accommodations and couldn't recommend it more.

Panoramic Views

Beautiful views of Coral Bay and BVIA 4wheel drive vehicle is a must to get to this Very steep hillside property. The road to property is narrow, one car width wide and switch back turns all the way up.If you are familiar with the island you will know this is common. You must access the property thru a gate which is heavy & cumbersome to open and close with all your coming and going.The provided washing machine is only accessed by walking thru the gate and down the steep driveway to the lower level room.The living space on the first floor is fresh & clean with a well stocked open concept kitchen. A full length balcony with sliders continually gives you breath taking views of the Caribbean.The second floor accessed by stairs has 2 bedroom with their own bathrooms. The bedrooms only have AC units in the walls.We did not use them Bedding and towels are in good shape.During our stay we issues with quality of the water. We found it unacceptable for washing dishes & bathing.The third day in we addressed the issue with the hostess& owner. Both were gracious and very concerned about our complaints.They both took immediate action to attempt to rectify the problem.Unfortunately the problem didn’t go away. The owner graciously released us from the contract.I want to make it abundantly clear I am not trashing the property. I feel if the water safety issue can be resolved this is a good property for people whom are ready to use their physical ability to enjoy Coral Bay

Lovely home with gorgeous views

The home is exactly as stated in the description. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. We slept with the windows opened to enjoy the breeze. The pool is perfect after a day at one of the beautiful beaches. A 4- wheel drive is highly recommended for the drive up to the home.

Beautiful getaway on the quiet side of the island

The views from every room in the home are just breathtaking! To wake up and drink coffee and watch the sunrise and boats coming in and out of Coral Bay was mesmerizing The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. The ceiling fans were the only thing you needed to help keep the house cool with the breeze is that blew through there was no need for air conditioning at all. It was just lovely.! Chris was so easy to to work with she met us down in coral bay and brought us up the driveway to RR and went through everything with us. It was so helpful and so kind of her. We were there for two weeks and Chris came at the end of the first week and changed out bedding and tidied up. That was so thoughtful and so kind.! And the days that we did not visit one of the many beautiful beaches that there is on Saint John we stayed back at the house and enjoyed the pool and the views it was all just breathtaking ! Just down the driveway is the dolphin market with everything that you could possibly need. There are restaurants right in coral bay with lots of entertainment, and I highly recommend a skinny legs cheeseburger best I’ve ever had. There is so much to do right there in Coral Bay you need not to go to Cruz Bay. Everything you need is right there and then some. ! There is also some cute donkeys and some goats that roam around town truly remarkable place and I cannot wait to get back to Coral Bay and RR ! Thank you again, Chris you are an amazing host

Beyond incredible!

Rhumb Runners is hands down our favorite rental thus far on St. John. The view is spectacular, making even a day spent at the house special. We stayed at the home for most dinners as the kitchen & grill were well equipped. There is also a market just down the road in Calabash with fresh & deliciously prepared foods. This home checked all the boxes and then some. Can't wait to return!

Great property in great location in Coral Bay. Road is steep and narrow with switchbacks, which is every house in Coral Bay, so not unusual. What is, was that it was paved the entire way, which was great. Beds were comfy and the breezes kept the place super comfortable.

Amazing view and great location

It was our first time on St. John's and we had a wonderful time enjoying the fabulous snorkeling and beaches! The home offers incredible views and is close to several good restaurants and a grocery store. If you're a strong swimmer (and have a Jeep) don't miss the snorkeling off of Little Lameshur Bay Beach (swim to the point of the peninsula on the left as you stand on shore) and then a stop at Miss Lucy's for a late lunch on your way back.

WOW!!!!

My husband and I were immediately impressed with this amazing home - all ours for an entire week!! While the photos are accurate, they don’t completely convey the serenity and privacy that you experience. It truly is a haven and was a wonderful place to spend a week celebrating our 34th anniversary! We want so much to return and spend another memorable week in this beautiful retreat!
