This house is perfect for couples or small families. Rooms are spacious and offer AC. The house overall is beautiful! We did lose power for the first 3 days for about an hour or hour and half which was unfortunate since the house doesn’t have a generator or solar panels. However, we absolutely loved staying at the Sea Palace and would visit again!

Hey MaryRose, thanks for review and glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have generators but if power is only off for a short time, it's not worth going to all the effort getting them on and disturbing peace. Also, it was a scheduled outage from utility co, so knew it would be only an hour or so.
We loved our stay! The house was very clean compared to other properties we stayed at. Communication with the host was great! Views, location and pool were great! We will stay again. Perfect for couples or families with older children.
Our stay was wonderful! It was adventurous, but also relaxing. Greg was great with communication, and Paul, the manager, was accommodating during our stay. We hope to visit the island again some day!
Great property very convenient to Coral Bay and beaches. Paul was very helpful on arrival and throughout the trip. Great pool, very refreshing at the end of a day of beach or trails. Great views of the bay, and beautiful sunrise from the back deck.
The stay and view was amazing and the property manager Paul was an absolute blessing. He made sure that all of our prayers were answered, he even took time out of his own day when he was around to talk me through a lot of the things to do around the island. Also gave us a huge insight on what we should look forward too from such things as restaurants gift shops ect. Amazing property with an amazing host/manager we will definitely look forward to coming back sometime.
Amazing week at Sea Palace. We are definitely a Coral Bay family and St.J is really just a magical place. It's our 2nd visit and stay on Sea Grape Hill and its tough to beat. Really preferred this location from our previous as offered cooling breezes and an super view of Hurricane Hole. Special shout out to prop mgr Paul for being very responsive and to our new best buddy Sebastian.
This is a beautiful home for your visit to St. John. The balcony and a pool overlooking to separate day views are unmatched. There were only two of us on the trip, but this home could’ve easily fit a larger group. We love the seclusion of the east side of the island well still being close enough to restaurants and he read access to North Shore beaches. I would highly recommend this rental.
Words cannot describe the beauty of this house, pictures do not do it justice. We had an amazing time celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary from snorkeling every single day driving around in our Jeep checking out the cute little restaurants and then relaxing at night watching the moon and enjoying the pool. We will definitely be back to this beautiful gem of a house. Definitely check out the Windmill Bar!! The most amazing views!!
It was a beautiful place to stay. We had everything we needed. Paul was an amazing resource and really knowledgeable about the island. There was an amazing breeze the kept us comfortable on the back deck and Maine part of the house, the mini split air conditioning in the bedroom worked perfectly to keep us cool in the bedroom at night! We will definitely return
We loved this house. There were thoughtful touches everywhere and a lot of amenities we appreciated. It was very homey and a good place to call home base. Some of the furniture could be updated and the hot tub is not a hot tub. It's a warm pool with soft jets. The property manager Paul was very prompt with advice and help. We would definitely stay here again!
Overall great experience!! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon for a week and it was great with a few things that bothered me a little bit. First of all it was clear that someone was walking around in the basement area and in the backyard when we weren't around because we would come home and the doors would be open or closed in the basement and the same was true for the yard gates. It was my understanding that no one would be accessing the property while we rented it and that was clearly not true. The other main thing that bothered me was that we weren't told until day of that we would be losing power for the night and so we spent the night sweating in bed because it was so hot in the house. The property manager gave us a ryobi battery powered fan which was not nearly big enough to blow air on both my wife and I lol. They also have absolutely no address and will direct you to the property using landmarks which makes it very challenging if you end up arriving after dark like we did because of a flight delay. Now I'll talk about the good parts - both the owner and property manager were super nice and easy to talk to. The property manager responded fast to any messages including one about the fan burning out at 3am the night we had no AC haha. Beautiful property and a very quiet part of the island which my wife and I loved. If youre expecting a hot tub this one will not meet expectations but you dont need it to because its already hot on the island.

Hey Eli, thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify a couple of things you mentioned, since we take guest reviews very seriously and appreciate your feedback:
I, the owner, happened to be down the week before and during your stay, so I was around during the day at my properties doing some low season maintenance/work with my landscaper cutting trees, cleaning up brush, etc. When we saw your car was not there, we took the opportunity to get a few things done as most owners do without disturbing you. We also check the pools. I assure you no one went into the house—maybe closed a slider below if rain was coming, but there was no need to enter. We also used a hose for next door, which is why the gate was open. I should have told you, but again, I don't like to disturb my guests.
As far as the outage, it was scheduled by the utility company. Since it was a planned one, the manager thought it would be best to let you know so you could prepare to leave doors and windows open to get a breeze and give you fans, rather than not telling you. Power outages happen on islands occasionally for repairs, are out of our control, and usually don't last long.
Lastly, the house does have an address. We like to give detailed directions since GPS doesn't always work on some guests' cell phones, and arriving late at night makes it easier to navigate. You can always call the manager for assistance as well.
Anyway, all the best and glad you enjoyed your STJ visit.
Overall our stay was good. Kim went out of her way to make sure all of our arrangements for tours were met. Communications were great. Our only issue was that some household items were dated and needed attention. The location of the property was perfect, halfway between Quepos and Manual Antonio Park. Great sized accommodation for two couples.
This home is absolutely beautiful! We loved the spacious Lanai with the amazing views. This home was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for your trip, I have rented over 20 VRBO's and no other property comes close to offering what this home does. The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was extremely nice to have a washer and dryer as well. The property manager, Paul, lives near by and is a great guy and is super helpful as he has lived on island for quite some time. If you are looking for a great experience in a peaceful community look no further!
Our stay at Sea Palace was the perfect 1st visit/honeymoon home on St John. The views. The location. The hospitality. The cleanliness and layout of the house. We had the perfect combo of options to sightsee and chill. Coral Bay was the most amazing place for us, and renting a jeep was the right call. Paul was a top-notch property guru, and Sebastian the cat was the best hangout companion. We are already planning our next trip back, and are so grateful for this experience of a lifetime. You won’t be disappointed!
