Host couple was wonderful. Very understanding of our timetables during our arrival and long excursions. And, quick with recommendations that left us with plenty of reasons to come back to stay with them again and finish their list. The considerate set-up of their kitchen helped us pull off a successful family meal for our whole party.
Clem couldn't have been a better host. Property is fantastic and he couldn't be more helpful. The location is rural but its only a 10-15 min drive to the local supermarket with a corner store closer still.
The Coach House is a lovely property with really fantastic hosts, charming dogs and cats, and plenty of room for a larger group. I can’t recommend it enough. If you want a quiet, country stay, book here. You will not regret it. We LOVED it.
We were visiting this area for business reasons, but wanted to also be close to take in the sights of Northern Ireland. We booked the Coach House listed on VRBO. Clem and Jayne are so friendly and most gracious hosts. Jayne baked a fresh loaf of bread upon our arrival and Clem took us throughout the house familiarizing us with the property. It was a perfect location for us. The surroundings are beautiful. Lush green fields, with horses, and their two friendly dogs. This house is located about 1.5 miles to Moira and 6 miles to Hillsborough. Both quaint towns with excellent restaurants and pubs. This location is also close to Belfast and the Northern Coast of Ireland, which cannot be missed! If you want a true Irish living experience this Coach House and its surroundings definitley fit the bill. I cannot recommend a better place!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
when we arrived we were told that they owners were not expecting us that day.
We were told there was no booking for us , but all was okay they would need a little time to get the heating on and tidy up it took about 20 mins and we all stood outside. This was the first time all my family was away for a few days together and i begins to panic. At last we went in and the owner said he would fill the jacuzzi luckily we didnt want to use it that evening , it took all night because it had a leek. We didnt receive a welcome pack and the barn needed a clean up. The house was nice and clean and well fitted out with pans and pottery. It would have been nice to have been greeted in a more reassuring and positive booking .
Great property that’s on the doorstep of Belfast, Lurgan and Moira. Set out in the countryside but 20 mins by train from Belfast. Tranquil and relaxing and this was aided by the hot tub. Friendly dogs and horse that all seemed at ease with people coming and going. Family on site for any questions, advice or required assistance. Totally recommend this property especially for a family groups. 😁

Thank you for the review, very helpful information for holiday makers and business guests as well. Hope next time you are able to take advantage of the new pizza barn.
We had a family group of five adults and found the accommodations perfect for our needs. The property was outstanding and our host, Clem, was attentive, gracious and well versed on sites to see and things to do. The added bonus of having horses, chickens and two of the friendliest dogs you have ever encountered made our stay extra special. We will recommend this property any chance we have.
From I arrived I was greeted by the most amazing host and owner. Clem was lovely. Took us in explained everything and I honestly had an amazing time.
I took my friend for a relaxing few days before our shops opened.
I will defo return. Thankyou so much

Always a pleasure, its great to see folk having a good time. The new pizza/barbecue barn is ready with a huge fire pit for your next visit.
We had a great time just getting away to this quiet location. Even with Covid restrictions, we were able to enjoy ourselves and the change of scenery. My children were especially fond of the dogs.
What a lovely place, peaceful in a rural location but only 6 mins drive and you are in Moira with it's great selection of restaurants, pubs and a deli you must visit. The Coach House is in a great location for exploring Northern Ireland only 25 mins from the airport, 30 mins from Belfast and 90 mins from the North West coast and all the great places to visit, including the Giants Causeway. On arrival we couldn't have been made to feel more welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade bread, thank you!
Clem and Jayne were perfect hosts who told us about everywhere to visit in NI, including the best restaurants in Moira. We were never disappointed. Also having their dogs around us made us feel really at home and even more so when Jayne had baked us an Rhubarb crumble( very nice indeed!). We will definitely return and look at staying here again. Thanks very much again!
Spacious and comfortable property in rural location. Owners very friendly and helpful. Hot tub was lovely to come back to after a long walk in the Mourne Mountains.
What a great property and owner- I only wished We had more time to sit and chat. Our fault for trying to squeeze so much in. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will make sure to schedule quiet time at the beautiful property and get to know Clem and his family a bit better - wonderful people. We highly recommend staying here for as long as you can. Thanks Clem.

About the host
Hosted by Clem & Jayne FitzGerald
Family home with horses, dogs and farm cats. We are very happy to be hosting and take great pleasure in your enjoyment. Staycations have encouraged us to increase the opportunities for our guests and this is why we have designed the new Barn facility and built new infrastructure to facilitate it in a beautiful wooded area opposite the Coach House Patio.
Why they chose this property
Location, location , location this is why we live here. It's an amazing central location for pleasure or business. Thirty minutes from the main Airports and Ferry Terminals. Six minutes from the M1 and fast access to all the main road networks South to Newry/Dublin 1.5 hrs, West to Dungannon 30 minutes & Enniskillen 1.5 hours, East to Lisburn/Belfast 30 minutes and North to Ballymena/Coleraine 1.5 hrs. The CAUSEWAY COAST is less than 80 minutes drive. Top of range HOT TUB (pay separately on arrival). BARN for DIY pizzas & barbecues with a fire pit in the woods. (pay separately on arrival) The location is in a small wooded area very close to significant sports amenities. The Coach House is quite enough to relax and close enough for work and play. Great all round location with outdoor options for your enjoyment.
What makes this property unique
Private use, Hot tub on the patio with Wi-Fi music. Private use Barbecue/pizza Barn and fire pit. Beautifully located across the lawn into a wooded area. The coach house has charismatic three arches which are now the guest bedrooms, the rambling main house and simple tree lined grounds give a relaxing informal feeling in keeping with country living. The frog pond (partially fenced) is a children's dream away from the play station and x box. Unfortunately for the frogs the pond is visited by herons and birds of prey in search of food. The Coach House Barn The Barn is an outside partly sheltered space where guests can plan for barbecues and pizza fests in most weathers. Situated in a small wooded area opposite The Coach House patio, the barn is a great space to chill out with family and friends. The Barn can facilitate small family groups of up to 12 adults and children, so the barn is perfect for inviting your own guests over for an afternoon or evening. Please discuss with us in advance if you would like to plan for visitors to join you at the barn. Please note visitors cannot use the hot tub, this is reserved for Coach House overnight guests. Because they can be hard to get, we can organise dough balls £1 each, base sauce £2 per can and the correct kiln dried fuels for the fire pit £10 and the pizza oven £5 are supplied by us. You will probably buy your own pizza and barbecue ingredients. It is an outdoor space, be careful with the uneven ground and the areas in the woodland have lots of stinging nettles with grass pathways cut between them. It’s a natural area where you can enjoy the country side in a meadow surrounded by trees. Please do keep the music volume down during the day and completely off after 10.30pm. To rent the barn and area is £60 for up to 3 days and £10 per day thereafter. Talk over your plans with us and we can help you with arrangements. Clem mob 07795242173
